Giovanni’s pov

I watched Mara flee, her rejection fueling my determination. She thought she could resist me? I would prove her wrong.

My obsession grew, consuming me. Mara’s refusal only intensified my desire.

‘But why did I want her so desperately?’ I thought

At first, it was to spite Rhys but now…. Now there was more to it. Mara’s strength, her honesty, loyalty, and her beauty….. I craved her.

As I paced through my office, Talia appeared.

“Giovanni, what’s happening?” She asked.

I turned, my eyes burning. “Mara,” I growled. “I’ve been trying to get on her good side but she keeps rejecting me.”

Talia’s expression softened, “Giovanni, perhaps…”

“No,” I snapped, interrupting her. “I will have her.”

Talia’s eyes widened in shock, “Giovanni, remember why we started this, I can’t believe you’re falling for Mara.”

I chuckled, “You think I've forgotten?” I asked Talia
