Mara's POV

The next morning, sunlight streamed through the window, waking me from a restless sleep. I rubbed my eyes and sat up, my mind still heavy with everything that had happened.

I sat up running my hand through my hair, it felt weird waking up in a different environment and being without Rhys.

I felt a pang in my chest but a soft knock on the door made me look up, and Dahlia entered, carrying a bundle of clothes and a tray of food.

"Good morning, Mara," she said with a warm smile. "I brought you some clothes and breakfast."

I managed a small smile. "Thank you, Dahlia. You’ve been so kind."

She set the tray down on the small table by the window and handed me the clothes. "It's the least I can do. Eat something and get dressed. If you need anything don't hesitate to tell me."
