Thank you all for reading!
Ivory POV The second book I picked up was called, ‘Dynamics of a Coven’ Chapter 1 Understanding what a coven is will help you understand how they operate. Each coven has a mascot. Animals like a black bat, cat or even a crow. No two covens have the same animal that represents them. These animals are believed to be the souls of their ancestors. Coming back to help guide them in their future needs. The roles of each member of a coven are fairly unique to that coven. However, there is still a monarchy that is in place. A king and/or queen are at the top of the coven. However, the privilege of being king or queen is not passed down by being the firstborn, and in some cases, not even in the same genetic bloodline. They believe the spirit animal is in charge of picking who will be responsible for taking over the throne when ready. When a child is born, they will have the animals’ mark on them as well as have powers the rest do not. If that child is born to another family, that child i
Two little lines stared back up at me. It took away my breath to just see the reality of it. Without even thinking, my hand covered my abdomen. “P-positive?” I asked, but I knew I just needed to hear it. “That’s right. I am getting a little pup.” The pride and excitement that filled me from Jet was contagious. I seemed to be a little more nervous than he was, but his feelings gave me strength to feed off of. Jet gently guided me towards the couch and sat me on his lap. “How are you feeling?” “Shocked? Overwhelmed? Nervous? Excited? I’m not really sure. This wasn’t something that was on my radar.” “Me either, but I am thrilled to be pregnant. You will be the most beautiful pregnant woman. I didn’t think you could get any sexier, but just the thought of you carrying my child…” His tongue grazed my ear. “I don’t think I am in the mood. Can you just hold me tonight?” “Of course. Anything you want.” Jet picked me up bridal style and carried me to the bed. “Let’s turn in and call it
“I have no idea. That will be something you need to discuss with your moms.” Jet shook his head like he hadn’t thought of that. “Maybe it won’t or maybe it will help?” He way trying to help ease my concern. “No reason to get worked up over it, I guess. The only thing that might affect it is I tend to lose control if I get too emotional. With these added hormones, hopefully I can keep them in check. You will have to help me.” “Seriously? Help you keep your hormones in check? In the history of woman, when has telling them to chill out actually worked?” Jet looked at me like I was stupid. “I can see it now. I will tell you that you are over reaction and you will turn and hit me with a fireball.” Well, he wasn’t wrong. “Surely, you can handle a burn?” I teased. “I rather not. Maybe a code word?” “Maybe. That way if I hear it, I will know that you think maybe I am being too emotional.” “Yes. Let’s try that.” “But ground rules. You cannot tell me the code word if I am freaking out o
“I… you just… this wasn’t…” Kennedy was stuttering hard. Jet found this amusing as he just watched Kennedy struggle to find the words. “How did you two get mated? I mean, you have no chemistry!” Mason spoke for the first time. I was genuinely confused. He didn’t think we had chemistry? “Excuse me? First off, I just proved to you who I was and you are going to come at me with that disrespect? Second, what exactly do you mean, ‘not have chemistry’? Would you like us to be touching every second? Do we need to be fucking every night and twice on Sundays? Should we spend hours gazing into each other’s eyes? Would that make you feel better? Not every couple needs to be a touchy feeling in order to have chemistry. Jet is the perfect other half of my soul. I trust him with every fiber of my being. Maybe it’s you that needs to take a long look at yourself and see why you feel that way?” I was happy with how I responded to this, but I knew my rant pissed them off. No alpha likes to be put i
“Are you there?” The voice called out again. Bending over, I tried to cover my important parts as I looked around for the source of the voice. “Holy fuck.” Jet whispered as he grabbed his pants pocked and pulled out his phone. The realization that he butt dialed someone while fucking me on the hood of his car was insane. “I thought you didn’t get reception?” I angrily whispered. “I couldn’t.” He shrugged. Pulling out his phone, I watched his shoulders relax as he put the phone up to his ear. “Hello?” I struggled to get dressed and keep an eye on Jet. His body was relaxed and his head was nodding. “Who is it?” I whispered. Jet glanced over at me and held up a finger. “Okay, thanks.” He said as he hung up the phone. “That was Justina. Just so you know, she said she is scared to hear that.” Jet had a smile on his face. Relief washed through me. I’ll have to buy her a basket of muffins or something. “Did you find out some more information?” I asked. “Yeah, she said there is a goo
Jet POV As soon as her head hit the pillow, her body went limp, and I knew her parents were speaking to her. It is so strange to watch her leave her body and spiritually visit them. The first time she did it, I thought she died. If it wasn’t for the bond, I would have believed it. “Is she okay?” Officer Hops asked, concerned. “Yeah, she isn’t very far along and all this just wore her out.” Kilo curled up next to her. Normally, I wouldn’t leave her body unprotected, but I knew that dog would not let anything happen to her. “Well, we should get going before it gets too late.” Officer Hops started walking out of the room. Walking up to Kilo, I have him a few scratches behind the ears. “Protect her, big guy.” I whispered. It was weird, but I swear he nodded and laid his head down on his paw. He was staring right at the door as I walked out of it. “I got word the tow truck got there already. We can get there and get your bags from the vehicle at the shop they are taking it to.” “
“Time to wake up!” A sickening sweet voice rang in my ears. Caughing a few times, I had to blink and gather myself. My shoulders screamed in pain as my wrist were tied behind my back. I was on a chair that had my ankles tied on the legs on the back. The chair was digging into my thighs, making the circulation in my legs cut off. “Who are you?” I asked. “Madam Natalie is what you can call me.” My eyes were finally adjusting. It looked like a basement of sorts. It was pretty dark, but from what I could see, they crudely hung wooden shelves to the point that I questioned their stability. Small vials sat on the shelves. Some were of different herbs or spices, I assumed. It was the ones with eyeballs and what looked like a webbed foot is what really concerned me. “What do you want with me?” “I want to know why a werewolf is in my city?” “How did you know I was in your city and why do you think I wanted to stay here? Maybe I was passing through.” There was only a single light that
It was like something out of a horror movie, the way her skin bubbles and transformed into another identity. As she got taller, a few more pounds appeared on her belly. Long bleach blonde hair ran to her waist. Overall, she looked to be twenty years older. “Whoa.” I said, kind of impressed. The rest… grossed out. “I get bored with my appearance and change it up.” Her hands were on her hips as she glared at us. “Now tell me who you are and why did my spirits tell me to help you?” “My name is Ivory. I am the daughter of the Moon Goddess and Mother Nature. Their brother, Adron, is the God of the Underworld and has created a hybrid of vampires and werewolves. With them, he plans on killing all the other species and taking over Earth. My mission is to stop him. To do that, I need to get vampires, witches and werewolves to work together.” She looked between us for a whole minute before she spoke. “Are you hungry?” Turning around, she walked to her kitchen that was on the other side o
Thank you all for reading Opal Eyed Luna! This has been a story that has sat in my mind for a year that I just needed to get out. However, as I wrote it, the story took a turn that I had not expected and it ended up being much longer than anticipated. Since I have read and recieved so much feedback about legnths of books, I have decided to make this part one with a possible part 2 if you readers enjoyed it! I am working on two others right now but I don't feel like I am ready to not see where Ivory and Jet go with her new job title! If you would like to see a book two, please let me know! I love hearing all your thoughts! As always, I do read each and every one of them. As much as I try to like or reply to them all, I have a toddler that I am trying to potty train so it is a little crazy in my house hold! My new book out is called Diamond Eyed Luna. That might be the last in this series, depending if I write a book 2 on this one. It is currently available and I will be posting regu
“We are here to serve you.” Their voice was like ice water running down my veins. “Why can’t Jet see you?” “We could allow him to if you wish?” “Yes.” “Holy moth-” Jet took a step back and wrapped his arm around me. “He is very much your boss as I am.” I said, wanting them to listen to him too. “Understood.” It was weird talking to them. “What is your role? What do you do?” I asked, trying to understand. “We are your servants. When someone needs to pass through, you signal us and we take them there. We are also your protectors. If danger is near, we will tell you.” “That is how Adron was able to always be a step head of us.” I said to Jet in the mind-link. “One of many ways.” Jet replied. “Can you take me to the underworld?” “Sure, if you wish.” One of them said. “However, you may not get to come back.” Another one said. “Why?” Jet asked. You could almost feel them shift their eyes to him. “You are still human. Portal is a one way unless you are a god. Since you are
There appeared to be a clear understanding from Spencer and Jameson. Calvin needed to go. His attitude was not that of a gamma, but of a cocky little shit. One second they were all looking at each other and the next, Calvin realised what was happening. “Whoa! Guys! Come on!” Calvin tried to plead his case as both men jumped him. Jameson took high as Spencer took low. Calvin surprised me with how much of a fight he put up. He managed to knee Spencer in the ribs and land a single punch to Jameson before he was officially knocked out. Once he was removed, it was just Spencer and Jameson. I was on the edge of my eat, trying to see who was winning. Jet was feeling rather anxious himself, which didn’t help mine. These men had trained together. Jameson had trained Spencer, so it was coach verse student. Spencer tried a submission move that Jameson counteracted. Jameson would go to deliver a combination, and Spencer would avoid it expertly. For five whole minutes, not a single blow was l
“Come on, it wasn’t that bad!” Jet was on the other side of my locked bathroom door. Humiliation and embarrassment filled me as I stripped naked and turned the shower on. I had fallen asleep before Jet was back. So, I was trying to make it up to him this morning, but the sexy lingerie I was trying to put on was not baby bell proof. It stuck out like a busted can of biscuits and even ripped the material. The worst part, Jet had walked into the closet to see where I had went and found me in front of the mirror. I was about to pull the one piece down but my stomach ripped a hole, my ass was eating the underwear and there wasn’t enough fabric to cover my nipple. It looked absolutely horrifying. To top it off, I was out of breath from trying to get into it. Jet’s eyes widened as he tried to hide a smile. So, naturally, I am hiding in the bathroom. It was easy to rip it off as my stomach had already started it. Dying of embarrassment was a true statement that never hit me so hard before.
“That was an exhausting day.” My ass was sore from riding Colt all day. It normally wouldn’t be but with this extra weight on my stomach, my posture was off. “Watching the obstacle course twelve times isss… rough. I got my twelve miles in today.” Wade sat down in the chair. Jet was wearing only was wearing his shorts. With his bare chest, it was hard to focus. These pregnancy hormones are no joke. Plus, it has been forever since we had sex. “Focus, afterwards we can do whatever you want.” Jet teased me in my mind. “ANYWAY.” I said, a little too loud. Jet smirked, and Wade looked slightly confused before choosing to ignore us. “Let’s just start at the top. Carol.” “She made quite a few mistakes.” Wade frowned as Jet pulled up the video of her running. “What is the scoring? Like five points per task?” I asked. “That would make 20 points total so that is good.” Jet said. “To start, she immediately stepped on a mine and got herself killed. She didn’t even look around to make s
Jet and I were angry as we exited our room. Not at each other, but the situation we were put in. I thought everything was behind us. We thought we could have a normal quiet life now with our pack and our child. Nope. Now we have to deal with this. What kind of toll is this going to take on me? On our child? “Whoa, that is some major aggression you both have today.” Susan said as we turned the corner into the foyer. Brent, Susan and Wade were waiting for us. I was a little surprised to see Susan. Ever since Megan was killed, she hasn’t come around much if it wasn’t about the baby. “Let’s get this over with.” Jet said as he kept walking past his family and towards the golf carts. Everyone had a surprised looks on their face as they watched him go and then turned and gave me a questioning look. “Later.” I said and followed him out, too. I couldn’t walk as fast, but I was happy to see Jet was waiting by the side of the cart to help me in. No one spoke as we made our awkward golf cart r
“Alright, we have our rankings!” Jet said as he held up his paper. “What are they?” I asked. Jet had kept the names to himself and just wrote the score down by the person. “There are a few ties, but here it is.” He laid it out in front of us. My eyes instantly went to find Jameson. He scored a 25 out of 30. A huge relief washing through me as I kept looking down the line. 19… 22…13… 26 wait? What? It was Carol. She scored one higher than Jameson on the critical thinking test. On the bottom of the paper, there was a list of each name from top ranking to bottom. Carol- 26Jameson-25Spencer-22Leroy- 22Peter- 21Calvin- 21Mark- 19Ethan-19Tyler- 19Anthony- 17Beau-15Dalton-13 “Interesting.” Wade said as he studied it. “Oh, this isn’t good for me.” Sitting down, the panic feeling started creeping back up. “Don’t worry. Jameson excels at obstacle courses. Actually, Leroy might give him a run for his money tomorrow. Even give Carol a heart attack.” Jet said as he grabbed a th
“Are we ready to go?” I was pacing in our office as Jet was finishing up each item on the critical thinking test. It had been a full week and I haven’t done anything but sit around and wait. Wait to go into labor, wait for Jameson to heal and even just wait for this tournament. There were a total of a dozen names on the paper. One female and the rest were males. “I’m finishing it now.” Jet said, slightly annoyed, but his patience was endless with me recently. I knew I was being a handful, but it was hard to relax. Susan had managed to get all the laundry done and put away, but there hadn’t been any progress in making a nursery. So I am worried about the nursery and worried about this tournament. I might have a heart attack before this is over. “You need to breathe.” Wade was sitting on the couch, watching me with a smile on his face. The fact that he found this funny was frustrating. “I’ll… I’ll… I’ll set you on fire!” I finally spit out at him. “We could put that in the obstacl
My feet were never so thankful to be wearing something so comfortable. I couldn’t imagine wearing heels or flats even. Not that I was full on waddling like Justina, but I could tell I was starting to get a sway. Jet gave me his arm to use as we made our way to the field. Brent and Wade had not shown up yet but I knew they weren’t that far behind. All the seats were filled. As we made our way to the front, I noticed everyone had mixed emotions about today. The thing is, I couldn’t tell if it was anger at me or anger at Jameson. There were some people crying, and some even looked happy. Happy his spot was open or happy because they didn’t like him? I couldn’t tell. “So many different emotions.” I commented in the mind-link. We had found our seats and sat down. Jameson and Samantha were standing ten feet from each other, with a baggy t-shirt. Samantha looked both scared and pissed off. Jameson just looked ashamed. “They hadn’t heard the full story, but rumors get spread. From what I
