“I’ll see you at dinner.”

“Ugh, fine!” I said as I cut the link on him this time. Jet was both amused and annoyed with me. Well, too bad because he couldn’t have flirted back and amused me!

When I went into the bathroom, I avoided the mirror. Not sure why, exactly but the butterflies in my stomach didn’t help. After turning the shower on and getting naked, I stood in front of the mirror. Just look up. Not a big deal, right? I will rock any scar that will be given!

“Just look up!” I whispered to myself. Slowly, I lifted my head up and looked at the girl in front of me. I didn’t recognize her at all. Her usually beautiful white hair was stained pink, bruising was visible under the bandage and even a little puffiness.

Getting as lose to the mirror as I could, I took my bandages off. The cut nicked my eyelid but not terrible. There will be a gap in my eyebrow from now on and there will be a pretty noticeable change to my lip. The cut went over the edge of my nose on my nares so tha

“Woman…” Jet shook his head as he closed his eyes. “Let’s get my niece what you promised her. I’ll help you. Wade is already up there and it is supper time.” Jet held the door for me. As soon as the door opened, footsteps were heard running down the hall, away from us. I looked at Jet, concerned. “They heard everything?” Jet took off running. “STOP!” He commanded. I stayed in my place, unsure of what to do. It was only a few minutes later that Jet reappeared. “Not sure who that was. I didn’t smell any scent.” “Seriously?” I asked, suddenly feeling violated. “Yeah, come on.” Jet grabbed my arm and pulled me with him as we made our way to the kitchen. I felt exposed in the hallway. Jet was clearly annoyed as I stood by the door and watched him bang open the cabinet doors. Tossing me the marshmallows and graham crackers, he held on to the chocolate and hotdogs. Finally, he pulled out some metal sticks which I assume is what he wanted us to use. “Are we not going to lock the mans

Walking up the next morning to an empty bed was heartbreaking. As my hand felt the cold sheets, they also landed on a piece of paper. I had to look with just one eye since my other eye felt a little stiff this morning. A scab had formed over my eyelid. Ivory, I didn’t want to wake you up. I am going to be working in my office today. Come down when you are up and ready. - Jet I do have a few things I need to take care of so I might as well get up and start my day. It only took me half an hour to get ready. The weather was going to be beautiful today so I put on some olive green dressy loose shorts with a fitted black tank that tucked into them. Since there was still no power, I just pulled my hair into a side braid and paired the whole outfit with flat sandals. The earrings my parent’s gave me never really left my ears but I did put on a long necklace with a single opal stone shaped in a tower. I loved this necklace as people said it brought out my eyes. My eye finally opened up a

Carol stepped forward wearing a baggy t-shirt and shorts. “Alpha.” She said, bowing her head. “As most if not all of you are aware, I am found my Luna!” Cheer erupted across the crowd. “Ivory comes to us with hopes of meeting everyone and is eager to take on the role.” Jet took my hand and lifted it up as everyone cheered. There were many chants of luna! Luna! Luna! “Today, we are here to address the accused. Carol, you have continuously disrespected Ivory as your Luna. You have stated you will not respect her and will not obey her. You have continuously tried to steal me from her after I instructed you to stop. Last night was the final straw when you went to put your hands on her physically.” “Disgrace!” some yelled out. “Horrible!” “Pathetic!” Jet held up his hands for the crowd to quiet down. They did so instantly. The warriors I noticed didn’t speak, but their eyes were full of anger, directed at Carol. “I have warned you multiple times. Not only did you try to put your h

“There is a phone call for Luna Ivory.” The man stated. I felt the emotional shift in the room. The man was holding up a cell phone that had Bloomingdale’s logo on it. Walking over, I accepted the phone with shaking hands. “Hello?” “Good afternoon, Luna Ivory. I wanted to meet you myself but I am not available to be at that store today so I hope I am not interrupting you. My name is Angelina Tucker. I am the CEO of Bloomingdale and I would like to thank you for shopping with us. It has been a dream of mine to work with the werewolf community to design a line of clothing. I was wondering if you would be interested in meeting with me for a business proposition? I would love to come to the packhouse and sit down with Alpha Jet and yourself, if at all possible.” My mind was blown over this. A clothing line? For werewolves? “Hello, Miss Tucker. I think that would be a great idea. If I could please get your information, I will have someone reach out to you to schedule that meeting. I don

“What’s going on?” I asked nervously. “Something is going on with the vamolf. I had the doctors examine it. See if we can find a cure.” Jet stood up and tossed some cash on the table. I wasn’t fully finished but enough. Cleaning my mouth off, I stood up as well. Jet waited for me to be ready before leading me out. “Sir? Everything okay?” The hostess asked, looking really frazzled. “Yes, everything was perfect. I left enough money on the table to cover the bill and a tip. Please thank Amanda and the chef for us.” We didn’t wait for an answer as Jet gently pushed me out the door. Grabbing my hand, he leads me to his car. Not even missing a beat as he opened my door for me and closed it right as I sat down and then going around to the driver’s seat. “What is going on with the vamolf?” I asked as he started the car and pushed on the gas at the same time. My body slammed against the seat. Who taught them how to drive? “I guess he is changing. Normally, they have more of a wolf’s a

“Wake up, sleepyhead.” The covers flew off me, allowing the cold air to attack me. “Ugh, you are so annoying!” I groaned. “Hurry up. We are meeting Justina and Wade in our office before we train today.” That made me sit up. “Oh?” I asked. My nerves were a little high. “To discuss what happened last night with Wade. He is my beta and we need to be on the same page, so whatever his issues were, we need to deal with it.” Jet walked over and started putting on his tennis shoes. He was wearing gym sorts that stopped below his knee and nothing else… so yummy. “Focus, Ivory, get dressed.” He must have noticed my emotions. Damn him. Rolling my eyes, I just got up and went the closet. No reason to shower before I get sweaty. There was this cute black and pink sports bra and matching shorts that I decided to wear. My tennis shoes were all black, so it looked great. I didn’t even look in the mirror as I pulled my hair into a messy bun to keep it out of my face. “Ready?” Jet asked as he

*Continue in the book, The beginning. The next morning, the people of the town found them all dead, except for Cassius, who was running a fever and barely breathing. After three days in the hospital, Cassius finally lost his battle and died. On the day of the funeral, Andreas and Estella had arranged for an open casket. However, when the doctor went to move Cassius’ body, it was gone. They were forced to bury an empty casket next to their mother’s. More deaths were reported, creating widespread panic. Orpheus was back and murdering the town’s people. After they found him guilty of killing his own son and the rest of the deaths, people started leaving in fear they were next. Eventually, Andreas and Estella vanished too. The town of Progue believed Orpheus killed his children in a rage. However, there are reports from around the country of sightings of The Otto family, followed by death. None of them were ever caught and arrested. To this day, no one knows exactly what happened to

Jet POV “Sure…” I knew why he wanted to help me, but damn if I wasn’t done punching him in the ribs. I spared his face so his daughter wouldn’t see the bruises, but I wanted him to have my knuckles etched into his skin. I gave Ivory a kiss before we left and gave Justina a warning look before I left the room. I know Ivory can hold her own, but fuck! They really pissed me off this morning. She is the sweetest, most sensitive soul I have ever met. Like she said, she is physically incapable of hurting another soul. The whole thing made me sick to my stomach. Never would I have imagined my own sister and beta feeling this way. Sitting down at my desk, I started working on answering my emails. Ivory’s thoughts about expanding the town were brilliant. I never really thought about what we were going to do with the old buildings since we build new ones. “I have a list of development opportunities to do in our community. I need you to get up quotes on what it will take to get these building

However, as I wrote it, the story took a turn that I had not expected and it ended up being much longer than anticipated. Since I have read and recieved so much feedback about legnths of books, I have decided to make this part one with a possible part 2 if you readers enjoyed it! I am working on two others right now but I don't feel like I am ready to not see where Ivory and Jet go with her new job title! If you would like to see a book two, please let me know! I love hearing all your thoughts! As always, I do read each and every one of them. As much as I try to like or reply to them all, I have a toddler that I am trying to potty train so it is a little crazy in my house hold! My new book out is called Diamond Eyed Luna. That might be the last in this series, depending if I write a book 2 on this one. It is currently available and I will be posting regu

“We are here to serve you.” Their voice was like ice water running down my veins. “Why can’t Jet see you?” “We could allow him to if you wish?” “Yes.” “Holy moth-” Jet took a step back and wrapped his arm around me. “He is very much your boss as I am.” I said, wanting them to listen to him too. “Understood.” It was weird talking to them. “What is your role? What do you do?” I asked, trying to understand. “We are your servants. When someone needs to pass through, you signal us and we take them there. We are also your protectors. If danger is near, we will tell you.” “That is how Adron was able to always be a step head of us.” I said to Jet in the mind-link. “One of many ways.” Jet replied. “Can you take me to the underworld?” “Sure, if you wish.” One of them said. “However, you may not get to come back.” Another one said. “Why?” Jet asked. You could almost feel them shift their eyes to him. “You are still human. Portal is a one way unless you are a god. Since you are

There appeared to be a clear understanding from Spencer and Jameson. Calvin needed to go. His attitude was not that of a gamma, but of a cocky little shit. One second they were all looking at each other and the next, Calvin realised what was happening. “Whoa! Guys! Come on!” Calvin tried to plead his case as both men jumped him. Jameson took high as Spencer took low. Calvin surprised me with how much of a fight he put up. He managed to knee Spencer in the ribs and land a single punch to Jameson before he was officially knocked out. Once he was removed, it was just Spencer and Jameson. I was on the edge of my eat, trying to see who was winning. Jet was feeling rather anxious himself, which didn’t help mine. These men had trained together. Jameson had trained Spencer, so it was coach verse student. Spencer tried a submission move that Jameson counteracted. Jameson would go to deliver a combination, and Spencer would avoid it expertly. For five whole minutes, not a single blow was l

“Come on, it wasn’t that bad!” Jet was on the other side of my locked bathroom door. Humiliation and embarrassment filled me as I stripped naked and turned the shower on. I had fallen asleep before Jet was back. So, I was trying to make it up to him this morning, but the sexy lingerie I was trying to put on was not baby bell proof. It stuck out like a busted can of biscuits and even ripped the material. The worst part, Jet had walked into the closet to see where I had went and found me in front of the mirror. I was about to pull the one piece down but my stomach ripped a hole, my ass was eating the underwear and there wasn’t enough fabric to cover my nipple. It looked absolutely horrifying. To top it off, I was out of breath from trying to get into it. Jet’s eyes widened as he tried to hide a smile. So, naturally, I am hiding in the bathroom. It was easy to rip it off as my stomach had already started it. Dying of embarrassment was a true statement that never hit me so hard before.

“That was an exhausting day.” My ass was sore from riding Colt all day. It normally wouldn’t be but with this extra weight on my stomach, my posture was off. “Watching the obstacle course twelve times isss… rough. I got my twelve miles in today.” Wade sat down in the chair. Jet was wearing only was wearing his shorts. With his bare chest, it was hard to focus. These pregnancy hormones are no joke. Plus, it has been forever since we had sex. “Focus, afterwards we can do whatever you want.” Jet teased me in my mind. “ANYWAY.” I said, a little too loud. Jet smirked, and Wade looked slightly confused before choosing to ignore us. “Let’s just start at the top. Carol.” “She made quite a few mistakes.” Wade frowned as Jet pulled up the video of her running. “What is the scoring? Like five points per task?” I asked. “That would make 20 points total so that is good.” Jet said. “To start, she immediately stepped on a mine and got herself killed. She didn’t even look around to make s

Jet and I were angry as we exited our room. Not at each other, but the situation we were put in. I thought everything was behind us. We thought we could have a normal quiet life now with our pack and our child. Nope. Now we have to deal with this. What kind of toll is this going to take on me? On our child? “Whoa, that is some major aggression you both have today.” Susan said as we turned the corner into the foyer. Brent, Susan and Wade were waiting for us. I was a little surprised to see Susan. Ever since Megan was killed, she hasn’t come around much if it wasn’t about the baby. “Let’s get this over with.” Jet said as he kept walking past his family and towards the golf carts. Everyone had a surprised looks on their face as they watched him go and then turned and gave me a questioning look. “Later.” I said and followed him out, too. I couldn’t walk as fast, but I was happy to see Jet was waiting by the side of the cart to help me in. No one spoke as we made our awkward golf cart r

“Alright, we have our rankings!” Jet said as he held up his paper. “What are they?” I asked. Jet had kept the names to himself and just wrote the score down by the person. “There are a few ties, but here it is.” He laid it out in front of us. My eyes instantly went to find Jameson. He scored a 25 out of 30. A huge relief washing through me as I kept looking down the line. 19… 22…13… 26 wait? What? It was Carol. She scored one higher than Jameson on the critical thinking test. On the bottom of the paper, there was a list of each name from top ranking to bottom. Carol- 26Jameson-25Spencer-22Leroy- 22Peter- 21Calvin- 21Mark- 19Ethan-19Tyler- 19Anthony- 17Beau-15Dalton-13 “Interesting.” Wade said as he studied it. “Oh, this isn’t good for me.” Sitting down, the panic feeling started creeping back up. “Don’t worry. Jameson excels at obstacle courses. Actually, Leroy might give him a run for his money tomorrow. Even give Carol a heart attack.” Jet said as he grabbed a th

“Are we ready to go?” I was pacing in our office as Jet was finishing up each item on the critical thinking test. It had been a full week and I haven’t done anything but sit around and wait. Wait to go into labor, wait for Jameson to heal and even just wait for this tournament. There were a total of a dozen names on the paper. One female and the rest were males. “I’m finishing it now.” Jet said, slightly annoyed, but his patience was endless with me recently. I knew I was being a handful, but it was hard to relax. Susan had managed to get all the laundry done and put away, but there hadn’t been any progress in making a nursery. So I am worried about the nursery and worried about this tournament. I might have a heart attack before this is over. “You need to breathe.” Wade was sitting on the couch, watching me with a smile on his face. The fact that he found this funny was frustrating. “I’ll… I’ll… I’ll set you on fire!” I finally spit out at him. “We could put that in the obstacl

My feet were never so thankful to be wearing something so comfortable. I couldn’t imagine wearing heels or flats even. Not that I was full on waddling like Justina, but I could tell I was starting to get a sway. Jet gave me his arm to use as we made our way to the field. Brent and Wade had not shown up yet but I knew they weren’t that far behind. All the seats were filled. As we made our way to the front, I noticed everyone had mixed emotions about today. The thing is, I couldn’t tell if it was anger at me or anger at Jameson. There were some people crying, and some even looked happy. Happy his spot was open or happy because they didn’t like him? I couldn’t tell. “So many different emotions.” I commented in the mind-link. We had found our seats and sat down. Jameson and Samantha were standing ten feet from each other, with a baggy t-shirt. Samantha looked both scared and pissed off. Jameson just looked ashamed. “They hadn’t heard the full story, but rumors get spread. From what I
