Lisa's POV:
Smirking, the Alpha rises to his full height.
"Take her to the medical wing." he orders. The guard immediately picks me up, but accidentally presses my foot too hard into his side. I let out a whimper of agony. The Alpha quickly latches his hand around the guards arm and growls lowly at him. "Don't intentionally harm your Luna under any situation. Understand, Simon?" he shouts while pushing the guard, Simon, away from him. Gulping, Simon quickly nods his head before turning and fleeing from the room with me in his arms. "I'm sorry, Luna." he mumbles, bowing his head. I look up at him with wide eyes, anger coursing through my body. "You shot me in my finger!" I yelp. "Yes, I did, but it was an order. I could not defy my Alpha. I said that I was sorry." he tries to reason. "You shot me in the leg, I would have lost my leg if I didn't move it at the last minute." I say again, "And all that you can think to say is that you're sorry?" "Yes, Luna, it was an order." he repeats, bowing his head again in submission. "Order or not. If you had a heart, you wouldn't have shot an innocent girl in the leg." I said, wiggling in his hold. "Stop moving, Luna. I may drop you." he says calmly, tightening his grip. "Like you wouldn't enjoy it. Put me down." I spit, glaring up at him. "I would not. You are my Luna and I want no harm to come to you." he vows. "You are the one that harmed me. For the last time, you shot in me in the foot." I say, with a deadly look. He sighs, closing his eyes, "Luna, for the last time, I told you it was an order from my Alpha. I had to oblige or I would splattered all over those walls right now. I did not know that you were my Luna at the time or I would have hesitated." "For God's sake! Stop calling me Luna!" I yell, letting out a scoff. "But you are my Luna..." he trails off. "I am not your Luna," I growl, "Don't you ever call me that." "You are my Luna," he repeats, with a confused look on his face, "You are Alpha Westwood's mate." "I am not and never will be that man's mate. I want nothing to do with him and the first chance I get, I am rejecting him. So, no, I am not your Luna. Do not call me that." I spit, wiggling in his hold again. "Luna, er....." he trails off again. "Lisa." I scream at him. "Lisa, please stop moving. We will be there shortly. It is quite a long walk from the other side of the house." he orders. Ever since the conversation with Alexander, Simon's whole personality has changed. I do not know if it is because he is terrified of Alexander or if he wants to genuinely respect me, but he is putting me on edge. The threats that he had given me the night before still ring through my head and I dare myself not to trust him. He is not a friendly person. He is a monster. Everyone here is a monster. There aren't any exceptions. "Here we are." Simon murmurs, as we stop in front of a door with a large red plus painted on it. Pushing open the door, he carefully carries me through and lays me down on one of the beds in the room. "Stay here. I'll go get the doctor." he mumbles, before he turns and exits the room. The throbbing in my foot has not died down and my entire leg has begun to get numb. I couldn't believe that my mate had done that to me. He forced one of his guards to shoot me in the leg. Everyone always told me that mates loved each other. People told me that mates were supposed to protect each other. That they made each feel safe and perfect. In the few minutes that I've known my mate, I already know that none of that was true. What had I done to deserve something like this? My mate was pure evil. I was cursed. I have to reject him. My thoughts are interrupted when the door suddenly bursts open and a doctor runs in. He screams out a string of instructions to the nurses standing behind him. They immediately crowd around me and begin poking and prodding at my body. "It's her finger." Simon grunts from behind them. He had entered last and moved to lean against the wall by the door. The doctor moves to my feet and inspects them. "Oh my," he murmurs, "She needs to be bandaged!" One of the nurses, scrambles by the door, pulling a machine over to the bed. She takes a mask from the machine and puts it over my face. "Breath deeply and count to ten." she whispers. 1......2.......3 My brain starts to go a bit hazy. 4....5.....6 My eyes start to droop and darkness plays with the edges of my vision. 7....8....9 I slip into oblivion before they reach 10. ~~~~~ I awake to the dull beeping of a machine and the smell of antibacterial hand gel. Groaning, my eyes slip open, as I try to sit up, but I immediately flop back onto the bed. My whole body ached. I could see edges of bruises peeking out from under my hospital gown. The scars that my body has from the previous three years still remained, but could not be seen as well as the bruises. I still couldn't believe that I had escaped. The confusion fills my body on how I was able to hold myself together for that long. I was able to run very far and very fast, without having any food in my body. The lashes on my back and the cuts on my stomach from the silver knife are now neatly stitched together. Looking around, I take in all the flowers sitting in various places in the room. Frowning in confusion, I look over at the flowers closest to me. Taking off the tag that lays around the neck of vase, I read what it says. Luna, We hope you get well soon! Same message from different pack members of Westwood pack. Furrowing my eyebrows, I put the card back on the vase. Why did they care? They had never met me, as least I don't think they had. I realize now that it was probably nothing more than an order from Alpha Westwood for them to bring me flowers. But then again, why would he order his pack to provide me with presents? He shouldn't care, should he? My thoughts are interrupted when the door to my hospital room suddenly opens. Gasping, I try to sit up again, but wince harshly at the stinging in my back and stomach. Ignoring the pain, I grit my teeth and force myself into a sitting position. Laying back on my propped up pillows, I gasp for breath, as the sides of my vision turns black. My eyes close involuntarily and I hear the silent footsteps coming into the room. "Are you okay?" a voice asks. Opening my eyes, I see the devil himself standing in the doorway. "Why do you care?" I mumble, trying to fight against the constant waves of pain. "You're right. I don't." Alexander says, leaning back against the wall by the door. Rolling my eyes, I focus back on trying not to pass out. "So, how's the foot?" he asks, nonchalantly. Glaring over at him, I snap, "Well it doesn't have a bullet in it anymore." He lets out a small chuckle, as a smirk appears on his face. "You know it almost sounds like you're blaming me for that." he asks as if he was offended. I give him a look of complete and utter disbelief. "You can not be serious. You shot me in the leg!" I yelp. "I did not. Simon did." he says, simply, shrugging. He crosses his arms over his chest, causing the muscles in his biceps to bulge. They momentarily distract me, before a new wave of rage washes over me. "You gave the order." I growl, narrowing my eyes. "I had to. You see, an Alpha protects his pack from rogues. You were a rogue. I had to do something." he smiles. My mouth opens and closes, trying to get out the words jammed in my throat. "I was no harm to your pack. A good Alpha attacks the rogues that harm, not ones that are forced in here against their will." I spit. "Forced? You were forced?" he asks. "I was running from my old pack. I saw your guards, I hid. Simon dragged me over the border. I wasn't even in your pack. I am innocent!" I yell. "Then you were spying and by law we're able to take you prisoner." he brags, raising an eyebrow. My mouth drops open in disbelief. "I'm sure you've heard what we do prisoners." he continues, with a smirk. I gulp, feeling the growing fear in my stomach. My eyes widen as he pushes away from the wall and stalks towards me. He reaches the bed and leans down, placing his hands on the bed on either side of my waist. "My favorite is the silver bath," he whispers in my ear, "There is just something about the screams of agony and the begging that just gives me such a rush." Tears well in my eyes, as I realize what my fate will be. Not only was I going to die, I was going to die by the hands of my mate. Just that thought alone, causes extreme pain to flare in my heart. "You're afraid." he smirks, pulling away from me and standing by the foot of the bed. My breathing quickens at his discovery and my heart hammers in my chest. "Why?" he whispers, cocking his head to the side. The tears finally fall and I press my body further back into the bed. I ignore the burning sensation in my back. I had to get away from him. "Please," I beg, the tears streaming steadily down my cheeks, "Just kill me. Please." An unreadable expression crosses over his face, as he steps farther away from me. "Don't torture me. Please, I can't handle it. I'm just an Omega. I'm not worth the effort. Just kill me." I sob, hoping he'll do as I say. He closes his eyes and breathes in through his nose. When he opens them again they are a deep black. His wolf had taken over. "We can not hurt you." the wolf says in his Alpha voice. "Please...." I plead again. "We can not hurt you. You are our mate." he growls lowly. "You didn't care before. Why are you pretending to care now?! Just let me die, please." I nearly shout, with unending sobs leaving my lips. "If you die. We die. We cannot let that happen." the wolf spits. "You don't care! You never cared!" I scream, pulling at my hair. "You're right. I don't. I never did." the wolf growls before closing his eyes again. Alex's brown eyes are back when he opens his eyes again and his face is emotionless. "You're scared of me." he states. "Well..I wonder why!" I shout, angrily wiping at the tears slipping down my cheeks. He lets out a small chuckle. "You know, if you're scared of that. Then you must really be looking forward to the future because that's not even the worst I can do. Because always remember, Lisa, I am your worst nightmare." he smirks, walking back over to the door. Swallowing hard, my heart begins to hammer against my ribcage. My breathing turns shaky. "If you're not going to k-kill me. Then at least let me go back to the cells." I stutter. He looks back at me with a smile, "Sweetie, you aren't going back to the cells. You're staying here, with me." My eyes widen and my jaw drops in disbelief. "You can't be serious! I'm not living with you!" I yell. "Well isn't it just unfortunate that you think that, sweetheart, because yes, you are." he says, simply. "I reject you then!," a smirk appears back on his face, "I, Lisa Summers, reject you, Alexander Westwood, as my mate." "You know. It's cute you think that would work. You can't reject me, mate. " he chuckles," I'll go and inform the doctor you're awake."Lisa's POV:He was supposed to be my everything. I was supposed to be his world. He was supposed to care for me, about me, and I was supposed to calm him down when he was angry. That was the basic need for a mate. They were your soul mate, your other half. They were there for those moments where nothing ever seemed to go right. They were your warm light in the cold darkness.I was supposed to have a loving mate. Someone who would do anything for me. Someone that loved me. But all of that got ruined as soon as Alex was chosen to be my mate. I was never going to receive that treatment.Werewolves shift at age thirteen. It is a very painful experience for all of us. In the following shifts after that, it hurts slightly less, until you feel nothing at all, at least that's what I have been told. It was a few weeks after my parents died when I first shifted. I remember the excruciating pain that washed over me as every bone in my body cracked in two. I can still feel the uncomfortable sting
Lisa's POV:'How am I supposed to get out from here?''Crawl.' my wolf whispers.'Well thank you captain obvious, but I can't without hurting my leg as I saw the gap between the window.''Yes you can. Don't be stupid.' she sasses.Rolling my eyes, I slide myself slightly closer to the door. Gritting my teeth, I grab onto the door jam, trying to pull myself up. Leaning back against the wall, I try to calm my breathing. The sound of footsteps nearly overwhelms me, but I remain sitting against the wall."Luna?" a voice calls, walking up in front of me. Finally someone opens the door.Opening my eyes, I stare up at the man in annoyance."Don't call me that." I growl."Woah," he says, backing away from me with his hands up, "Sorry. I didn't know.""I'm not your Luna." I snap."You aren't Alexander's mate?" he questions."No." I spit, trying to get up again.A smile comes onto his face, as he steps forward and holds out a hand."Good. Then, I'm Sebastian." he says."Um. Nice to meet you, bu
Lisa's POV:Macaroni and Cheese. I decided to make him macaroni and cheese. He had nothing in the fridge except for mayonnaise and a few pieces of moldy bologna. The cupboards were filled with nothing, but junk food, but I was able to find a singular box of mac n' cheese. Huffing, I turn down the hall and slowly make the short journey to his office. I knock on the door and lean against the door frame."Come in." I hear his deep voice boom.Opening the door, I wobble through the door and collapse in the chair in front of his desk. Alex is sitting with his wire framed glasses still on his face, doing some paperwork, but he immediately looks up as I collapse in front of him."I thought I had asked for some food." he says, raising his eyebrow."You did, but you don't have any food in the kitchen.""I don't have any food." he repeats slowly.Shaking my head no, I push myself back into a standing position and walk back over to the door, leaning against it."You only have one box of macaroni
Lisa's POV:The next morning, I awake with a grunt, the sunlight streaming in through the windows, blinding me. There is a heavy weight on my lower stomach, which I choose to ignore and bring my hands up over my head, stretching. Looking down, I notice the strong muscular arm wrapped around my torso and widen my eyes, as the sparks dance through my body. Shaking my head, I sit up in bed and try to get up, but with every move his arm only tightens.I look up at Alex's face and lay back down onto the bed. I take in his dark brown hair that is now flopped over into his eyes and his lower lip softly jutting out, almost in a pout. In all honesty, he looks adorable like this, relaxed, vulnerable. I would like nothing more than to lean forward and take his bottom lip between my teeth. I decide to stay in bed, until he wakes up. This would give me time to admire my mate for once when he isn't scowling. His normally spiked up dark brown hair is now hanging in soft waves over his forehead and h
Lisa's POV:Alex was oblivious to the stares, but I wasn't. The lustful expressions on each female face made me one step closer to snapping somebodies neck, and I didn't know why. I shouldn't feel like this. The anger that I feel as I watch them throw their dyed hair over their shoulders and give him seducing smiles overwhelms me. Why do I care so much about this? He has done a lot to me, more than a lot and I am getting jealous? I shouldn't care.'Stop caring.' I growl at myself.'You can never stop caring. No matter how much you want to.' my wolf warns, quietly.'Why are you talking to me so much lately? You normally never talk.' I snap.'You tried to reject our mate. It was time for me to say something and beg you to give him a second chance.' she reasoned.'He doesn't even deserve a second chance. What has he done for me that deserves a second chance?' I huff, narrowing my eyes at a particularly flirty female.'He is our mate, Lisa. He doesn't have to do anything to earn a second
Lisa's POV:If I thought the staring at the pack was bad, it was nothing compared to this. It seemed like every female in the entire town was staring at Alex. It was, in all honesty, aggravating. I hated having to watch my mate show all these beautiful girls attention, when he wouldn't even look at me in that way. Frowning I trudge along behind him silently, looking at all the beautiful shops we pass by."Go." Alex says quietly beside me.Turning to look at him with a confused expression, I raise an eyebrow."Go. Shop. Knock yourself out. I know you want to." he answers."B-but I-I don't have a-any money." I stutter out, shrugging my shoulders."And I do." he snaps."Alex," I sigh, "I'm not spending your money.""Then think of it as your money. I need to get you a credit card soon anyway." he shrugs."I'm not taking your money from you!" I yelp, stepping back slightly, "I'm not a thief!""Lisa," Alex growls lowly, "If I tell you to do something. You do it. Without any questions asked.
Lisa's POV:A lady suddenly barged inside the room. I instantly feel inferior to the pretty brunette standing in front of me."Can I help you?" I ask, after a very awkward minute of silence."Is Alex here?" she says with arrogance in her voice."No. He stepped out for a while. " I replied, raising an eyebrow."Well, I'll just come in then." she snaps, pushing past me."Um, Alex will not be happy that a stranger is in his house, so I suggest you leave." I advise. She turns back to me with a smirk and cocks her head to the side."I'm sorry, Omega, you must be new here. My name is Stephanie. I'm his wife." she smirks, holding out a hand for me to shake. At that moment, My heart shattered.I didn't know what to say. I numbly watch as she gracefully flops down on the couch. His wife. He had a wife. My eyes fill with tears, but I quickly blink them away. I slowly make my way over to a chair opposite her and sit down. Glaring harshly over at her, I bite down on my lip.Over these past weeks,
Lisa's POV:My feelings were out of control. I couldn't stop myself from feeling something for him and I hated it. I wanted to hate him. I wanted to despise him. Hell, I wanted him to hurt twice as much as he hurt me, but I couldn't.There was something inside me that kept me from hating him. Something that kept me from wanting to break him. Anything that made Alex hurt, hurt me too and there wasn't anything that I could do about it. It was the mate pull. Over time, it was growing stronger. Soon, it would be strong enough to hurt us both, unless he rejected me.I regret kissing Sebastian. I shouldn't have allowed it to happen. I felt wrong, like a cheater. I was a cheater. I did the one thing that everyone always told me I should never do. I cheated on my mate. I didn't deserve him, but he didn't deserve me either. He cheated on me much more than I had ever thought about doing. He was married for God's sake!I couldn't think of this anymore. I was hopeless. It had been a few days sinc
*Lisa's Point of View - 5 years later*"Push!" the doctor squeals, "Come on, Luna! One more push!"With one final grunt, a piercing cry springs around the room."He's here!" the doctor cheers, as I collapse back onto my back.Alex grasps my hand and sends me a huge grin. After cutting the umbilical cord, the doctor walks up to us and gently places the baby on my chest."It's a boy," she grins with a gleam in her eye.I look up at Alex, tears filling my eyes."We did it," he whispers, placing a small kiss onto my lips.I let out a small sigh of content, holding my boys closer."I love you," I murmur, watching as my baby opens his eyes and looks up at both me and Alex.Deep green eyes shine back at us, causing us to smile deeply. The little boys lips turn up at the corners, giving us a toothless grin. It melts my heart, knowing that he knows exactly who we are."I love you too, babe." Alex whispers back, scooting into the bed beside me and wrapping an arm around my waist. My smile widen
Lisa's POV:My mouth drops open in disbelief."Y-you're alive?" I stutter, tears already filling my eyes."Of course, we're alive." my father snaps, "Do you really think that we'd kill ourselves?""It looked like it," I gasp, "You drove off a fucking bridge."They both shrug, looking bored, "We had to make it look believable."Alex is silent through all of this. I had forgotten that he knew nothing of this. His eyes meet mine with a questioning glare.I sent him a look and he glances back down to the ground. I didn't want to speak of this to him to anyone. I was completely embarrassed. My own parents didn't love me enough to keep me."Why?" I mumble, looking over at them, "I want to hear from you, both of you. Why did you do this?""We were tired, Lisa." my father answers, "We didn't want to be Omega's anymore and you stood in the way of that. You would have never gone along with this deal willingly, so we took drastic measures.""That is the complete opposite of what you did!" I scre
Lisa's POV:"Abror?" Gina gasps, squealing slightly as she falls to the ground."Who the hell is Abror?" Alex spits, "Adam, come on man, you better not be playing any tricks.""I'm not your brother." Adam mocks, "And as I repeat, I haven't been your brother in quite a long time.""H-how is that possible?" I stutter, inching slowly towards Gina and Alex.Abror's eyes find mine and he cocks his head to the side, "Ahh, my sweet, sweet Lisa. Let me tell you the story.""She's not your anything!" Alex screeches, pulling on his chains once again. He growls lowly, but immediately stills. It is almost as if he had forgotten that I felt his pain, as he stops pulling against the chains and looks at me.Adam does nothing, but snicker and continues, "Where shall I begin? Ahh, well his birth is as good as ever I suppose. Your parents were my enemy. My father, who had the throne before me, pinpointed your parents as an ultimate threat. I'm sure you heard about the battle of the Kings, but I'll expl
Lisa's POV:Panic strikes my core as I watch Alex's head lull to the side. I knew he wasn't dead, but it wouldn't be long before he was."Why are you doing this!" I screech, pulling against the invisible restraints."I told you before, Lisa." The demon bellows, "I have my orders and I must abide by them. I was ordered to kill the threat and here I am, killing the threat."She snickers as she turns towards Alex. A scream leaves my lips as she tightens the chains around him and a cry of pain leaves his lips unconsciously. It feels that my heart is torn in two. If your mate is harmed it feels as if someone has driven a stake through your body."The King is almost here, Lisa." The demon grins, spinning on her heel."I don't care about the King!" I scream, "I care about Alex.""Mm," she hums, "Then we'll just have to destroy him then."My eyes begin to sting and I push myself to use my powers."No, no, no." Katherine grins, wagging her finger. The stinging pain in my chest is apparent now
Lisa's POV:Alex and I walk up the stairs, hand in hand. Once we enter the room, I immediately collapse onto the bed as he begins to prepare for bed.His eyes widen and he speeds to my side, "What? What's happening?"I shake my head and continue, "It's quiet, Alex. Too quiet."His shoulders drop and he shakes his head, "I thought something was seriously wrong!""Where's Adam?" I question, my heart rate spiking."In his room." Alex replies in a duh tone, "I don't know.""I don't think that he's in his room." I mutter, "I can normally sense him. I don't feel anyone in that room. Now that I think about it, I haven't seen Adam in quite a few days."Alex rolls his eyes and snaps, "That doesn't mean anything. Maybe he went back to his pack.""No Alex, you don't understand." I huff, "That man has been glued to my arm for the past month and now all of a sudden he's gone? Especially when he claims that he wants to protect me?""It doesn't mean anything," he spits, turning away from me, "What?
Lisa's POV:"What?" Alex snaps, bringing me into his arms, "What do you mean he escaped?""He smoked out." I mutter, shrugging my shoulders, "I came to get Seb some blankets and I noticed the cellar door open. I went down and found Scott in Simon's cell. Then Simon slit Scott's throat, stepped out of the cell, and smoked out.""Are you okay?" Alex mumbles immediately, taking my face into his hands.I nod my head with a sigh."Do you think you can go back down there?" Alex mentions, giving me a concerned look.Without acknowledging his question, I grasp his hand, leading him down the concrete steps. I wasn't as effected by this as I should have been. The countless years of supernatural mishaps with my parents must be swamping my nerves. As we turn the corner, I glance down to where Simon fell and I froze. Alex runs into my back, but he quickly wraps an arm around my waist before I could topple over."What's wrong?" he asks, concern gracing his features as I look back at him. With a gul
*Lisa's Point of View*I sigh as I open the front door. This month has been hell. With Sebastian in the hospital, I didn't have anyone to talk to and spent my days seemingly alone. I was never physically alone, however, only mentally. After the night with Scott, Adam insisted on staying with us. There was something odd about Adam. It was almost as if I had met him before. He watched me like a hawk, maybe even more then Alex did.Every time I turned around, he was there. Whenever someone would question him about his tactics, he would simply insist that he watched me only because I was his sister-in-law. I could tell this was not true. There was something different about Adam, whatever it was, it made the hair on the back of my neck stand up whenever he was near me. I avoided him, to say the least, but Alex criticized me for it. He took honor in his brother watching me, almost as if he had ordered him to do it. To make this situation even stranger, every night at 8 pm, Adam disappeared
*Sebastian's Point of View*Cold. All I felt was cold. I had woken up a while ago to find the nurses hovering over me, but no family in sight. Apparently, the machines had been going crazy and it alerted nearly everyone in the hospital. I could still see Katherine. She was weeping in the corner.I yearned to touch her, to hold her. I regret not building a stronger relationship with her. For not fighting for her. She wouldn't be dead if it wasn't for me. She'd be alive with Gina at home, warming her throne.People were constantly passing through. The pain was excruciating. Soul after soul would appear and grasp my hand, begging to be transferred to the after life. I was the anchor. I had to deal with this.It was my job to place the souls on the correct path that they deserved. The pain was numbing now, I was getting used to it. I had no idea what trapped me in my mind for so long. It was terrifying.Scratching my neck, I force myself into a sitting position. The nurses had left ages a
Lisa's POV:Anxiousness is a strange feeling. When your stomach contracts into knots and your breathing becomes shaky. When you can't get a word out, your body stunned into silence by the situation. That was how I felt.He was coming, that's all I knew. I didn't have the heart to tell Alex, I knew that he would go all protective gorilla on me if he knew.'But he could protect you from him.' my wolf whispers."That doesn't mean anything." I snap, "He can't find out. He can't know my history."'Like it would be so bad? Our mate deserves to know.' she argues."He'll fly off the handle. You know what he'll do." I whisper.'You know that he'll find out eventually right?' she questions."Of course I know this." I growl, "He just doesn't need to know about this right now."'You mean about the fact that you are practically his?' she says."I'm not his." I spit.'Lisa, he should know about this.' she pleads, 'Please tell him.'"No." I spat.'Lisa, the Alpha bought you, you realize that, right?
