Chapter 95

It was around past 8 in the morning, I woke up very early so I could prepare their favorite foods.

As I began to dish out their food, I asked one of the maids to go knock on their doors. They didn't respond, but they slowly emerged, their faces still etched with the pain of the previous day's news. I walked towards Kian's study room, where I found him sleeping on the couch, exhausted from the emotional toll. I gently woke him up with a soft kiss on the cheek, and invited him to dinner.

As I turned to leave, he slowly pulled me back, his eyes locking onto mine with a deep sadness. He gave me a tight hug, holding me close as if he never wanted to let me go. I knew it was still about what he had found out yesterday - the news that had shaken our world. I hugged him back, trying to offer what little comfort I could, and smiled softly.
