Chapter 48

VIVIAN POV

After my conversation with my dad, I walked back downstairs after I dropped the black card. I heard the door bell ring and I wondered who it might be.

As I walked towards the door, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness. Who could be visiting me early this morning. I opened the door, and my heart skipped a beat as I saw Julian standing there, his piercing blue eyes gazing into mine.

I breathed in deeply, trying to calm my racing heart. Julian was the last person I expected to see, especially after our last encounter. We had parted ways on uncertain terms, and I wasn't sure if he was here to make amends or stir up more trouble.

"Julian," I said, trying to sound casual despite the butterflies in my stomach.

"Hey," he replied, his voice low and smooth. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything important."

I shook my head, feeling a sense of trepidation. "No, it's fine. What brings you here?"
