Chapter 22

As I stood in my room, surrounded by the silence and the weight of my doubts, I couldn't shake off the feeling of betrayal and hurt. The dress, once a symbol of joy and love, now felt like a suffocating shroud, a reminder of the lies and deception that had torn us apart.

I thought back to the moment when I discovered his infidelity, the pain and shock that had left me reeling. And now, on what was supposed to be the happiest day of my life, I was faced with the impossible task of pretending that everything was fine, that I could just forgive and forget.

But I couldn't. I couldn't marry a man who had so callously broken my trust, who had shattered my dreams of a future together. I couldn't bear the thought of spending the rest of my life with someone who had so little respect for me, for our relationship, and for the vows we were about to make.
