Chapter Sixty three:

The night passed by swiftly and soon the sun appeared. Maya didn't want to wake up just yet because she slept with a lot of difficulty last night. She couldn't stop thinking about what happened to Alfred and her father. Were their cases linked? Did Alfred actually drown himself in the bathtub? A lot of things were going through her mind and it was driving her crazy. She sighed and lazily walked to the bathroom and took a shower before dressing up and going to the kitchen to prepare breakfast before Damian would wake up.She walked into the kitchen and started to fry pancakes whiles brewing some coffee, struggling to keep her eyes open.

Master Dan came downstairs first looking smart in his suit, just like always.

"Morning Grandpa," Maya smiled as the old man joined her.

"Morning dear...you look stressed out. Is everything ok?" He asked concern laced in his voice.

"I'm fine....I'm just tired from yesterday," Maya sighed, flipping the pancake in the pan.

"Then you shouldn't be here.
