If I said sorry, would you accept it?
NATALIE "He looks like you," I said, caressing the tiny thing in my arms. Sophia smiled as she looked in our direction. "I hope so," she replied. I was still in awe at the beauty of the baby and how tiny it looked. By just one glance on it, I knew this little boy would have us wrapped around his fingers. "Thoughts on names?" I asked her. Sophia didn't even think about it. "Devin," she stated. I paused. The name sounded familiar to me and I tried to remember where I'd seen it. A memory flashed through my brain and I remembered. That day at Ace's office, there was a letter addressed to somebody named Devin. "It's a nice name. Is it special to you in any way?" I asked, cautiously. I caught the slight quiver of her lips. "He is. He's more special than you'll ever know," she whispered as tears pooled in her eyes. She must have noticed her strange behavior since she didn't let her tears fall and immediately began acting as if she hadn't just showed me suspiciou
NATALIE'S POV Ace's hand trembled on the gun and he lowered his hands to his side. He didn't glance at me but rather kept his gaze firmly trained on the woman who lay before us. Her usually full and shiny dark hair matted against her forehead haggardly and her lips had lines and were dry. Georgina Gomez looked nothing like what the media portrayed her as all those years ago. I was pretty sure Ace didn't do her bad like this so what happened? Georhine let out a dry cough and crawled a bit closer to Ace and I. Her hands reached out to grab Ace and I's leg but on instinct, I flinched and stepped back while Ace remained frozen. "Please," she wheezed, voice sounding scratchy against my ear, "Help me," she begged. For what? I wasn't sure. I was still trying to process what was happening when her raised head dropped onto the ground sharply, making a loud thud. Ace finally gave a reaction and maybe instinctively, he reached out to grab her but wasn't quick enough as her head already hit t
NATALIE "Spread your legs apart. Now throw," my trainer said, helping me to widen my stance. I grit my teeth and did as he said. "Anger can help or hinder. But fury, fury is meant to be used to our advantage. Natalie, I can sense fury from you, channel it into your throws," he ordered. I inhaled a deep breath and did as he said. White hot fury coursed through me as I clenched my fist and threw at the practice doll. "Wow," a familiar voice said. The owner being someone I'd been avoiding for the past few hours. I looked at Ace with hooded eyes and saw the head of the practice doll in his arms. He had a surprised look on his face but his eyes held a gleam of pride. "Can we continue?" I asked my trainer. He glanced at Ace who waved him off. My trainer nodded at Ace and walked away. I rolled my eyes. I was the Luna, why the hell did nobody listen to me? "Natalie, you can't avoid me forever you know?" he asked. I jumped a bit, surprise. When did he get behind
NATALIE "So we can all agree Ace doesn't know what he's doing, right?" I asked, after Jayden finished speaking. "Yup," Sophia replied, looking at me. "So what do we do?" "Send Georgina away? Without Ace knowing?" Emily suggested eagerly. She was sitting opposite me, rubbing her baby bump slowly. I don't even know who invited her to this meeting. "Your opinion wasn't seeked, Emily," I said bitterly. She glanced at me. "Well excuse for trying to help the woman who's husband has eyes for everything with a fucking pussy!" Emily jabbed. My hand slammed down hard on the table, startling everyone. "Calm down. This is about Ace, not you two's animosity," Ava said, rolling her eyes. I glared at her then clenched my fist to stop myself from saying anything that'd make matters worse. "Fine," I murmured. "Do we have a plan?" "What about what she suggested?" Ava asked, pointing at Emily. "It won't work. Ace feels the strong urge to protect Georgina. We can't just kick her out without a sol
NATALIE "Why'd you lie, Emily? Did you need attention that much? Or was it a plan to ruin my life?" I asked, pouring the tea into the cup. Emily sighed from behind me. "It was originally meant to get me out of marrying Ace but then I saw how he treated you and then this happened. Natalie, I didn't mean it like this," she explained. "Does it matter to you what I think, Emily? You've never really liked me. I was always the annoying little sister. Why do you care if I'm mad?" I asked her. "I always craved mum and dad's attention. And I knew if I was the perfect daughter and you weren't, then I'd get all their love and attention. So in the process of achieving that, I became a bitter bitch. I'm sorry," she apologized. "I understand." "I won't stay here anymore. I don't want to come between you and Ace but Natalie, beware of that woman. She's something else," Emily said. " I know, but Ace won't listen. He's hell bent on taking care of his baby girl," I said bitterly. "Make him bel
NATALIE "Come out, Natalie," Ace sighed out, running a hand through his already messy hair. I shook my head and folded my arms across my chest. "No." "Natalie, we've been staying here for almost 30 minutes. At this rate, we'll miss the whole party," he complained. "I already gave you my jacket, what more do you want?" He asked, exhausted to his core. "I want a change of clothes. Something to cover all this!" I said, pointing at all the marks on my neck and chest. Ace grinned wolfishly. "It passes across a statement. And, we'll be late if you go for a changr of clothes. Natalie, don't be stubborn. I'll count to three and if you're not out, I'll carry you inside in my fucking arms," he threatened. Not that I was doubting Ace but I really didn't believe he could do it. "You can't," I scoffed. "Watch me," he said, stepping out of the car. My heart pounded faster against my ribcage when I saw
NATALIE "Wake up, princess," Ace said, tickling my nose. I swatted his hand away as I slowly opened my eyes. My head ached badly and I didn't have any explanation for it. "Dear Goddess, exactly how much did I drink last night?" I asked, holding my head in my hands. I sat up slowly and leaned against the headboard. "Even though I didn't drink, I have a splitting migraine," Ace complained. I looked at him through the corner of my eyes and true to what he said, he looked almost as in pain as I was. "I don't even remember much of last night," I told him, shaking my head. "I'll just go have my bath now," I said, getting up from the bed. Ace nodded at me and closed his eyes again. It was then that I finally looked at him closely. He was shirtless and was wearing sweatpants that hung low on his waist, revealing the band of his boxers. I looked back at his abs and was immediately hit with the urge to trace them with my fingers. I shook my head gently to throw those dirty thoughts away. "
NATALIE Ace was in his study barking orders and screaming his head off. Ava lay on the bed before me as her body tried to recuperate. Jayden was standing by the door. Georgina was nowhere to be found. And I, I was here still trying to wrap my head around everything. "Read Sophia's letter. Now," Ava rasped out, opening her eyes slowly. Jayden stretched and moved swiftly to her side. Ava tried to sit up but he pushed her back down. "Rest, Ava," he said. Ava shook her head as she looked at me. "She said to tell you to read it as soon as possible. It's important," Ava continued. I glanced at Jayden and he nodded at me. I stood up to go to my room for privacy. I brought out the letter and read through it. The first word I saw there was 'light'. Strange. It was mostly filled with how she was sorry she didn't tell me goodbye and to take care. "There's nothing here," I murmured, turning the paper. As I turned it, sunlight flashed on a part of it and Tania gasped within me. She clawed at m
I'm actually really emotional that I had to end this. I remember when I first started ONWAA I was so excited to delve into their story. It feels like a part of me is leaving. As I wrote ONWAA, lots of new ideas came in and the original plot shook. ONWAA was actually meant to be way longer than this but I found out that wouldn't work. I have so many things to commit to this year, this month especially and if I decided to drag ONWAA out, updates would be slow and I couldn't do that anymore. I am so happy to have gone through Ace And Natalie's story with you. Thank you for your love and support and I assure you, there is more where this came from. See you when I see you! MwahhPS: drop what you think about the story, your thoughts, extra questions etc. I promise I'll answer them.
NATALIE It's been a month since everything had happened. Last week, I'd discovered I was actually pregnant. So far, I'd only told Sophia. I was currently waiting for everyone to come for dinner. I was going to tell them the good news in a very special way. The first to arrive was Jayden and Zora. Ever since the incident they'd gotten closer. I think they might be dating. After them was Ava. She and I had become great friends now and she was even seeing someone. "Where's Ace?" I asked frowning. "He can't be late again," I added. "Calm down, he said he needed to finish off something at work before coming for dinner. He'll be here in about an hour," Jayden said. My eyes almost popped out of the sockets. "An hour? And I should calm down?" I yelled. "That is not happening," I yelled as I picked up the phone to call him. Zora snatched my phone from me. "Let the man finish his work. He won't run away," she teased. I rolled my eyes as I let out an exhau
NATALIE "Wake up," someone said sinisterly, close to my ears. They stood up and the next thing I felt was electricity jolting through me from my thigh. My eyes snapped open and the first thing I saw was a taser. I raised my head to look at the person. "Georgina," I muttered. She was smirking at me and holding the taser in her hand. "You're finally awake. I never knew you were such a deep sleeper, Natalie," she giggled. "Where is everyone? What have you done to them?" I asked, struggling to free my hands from the rope binding them together. "They're in the next room. Shall we go to them?," she asked. She pointed at a shadowhound in the corner and it immediately came to her side. "Take her and follow me," she ordered. My eyes widened as I struggled to free myself. If that thing touched me I'd be gone. "Don't worry, Jamie doesn't bite," she chuckled. The shadowhound picked up the chair I was tied to and followed closely behind Georgina. The place we
NATALIE "This is where it happened? There's so much blood……and bodies," Zora said, crossing over the dead bodies scattered around the floor. "Your sister really knows how to massacre," Jayden gritted out. Ava stood beside me examining the bodies when her eyes fell on someone at the far end. The person was struggling to call out to us. There was blood all over her face and her uniform had been torn in different places. "Sasha," Ava yelled, jumping dead bodies to get to the woman. She grabbed the woman and placed her head on her lap. "Sasha, you'll be alright. Just breathe, please," Ava screamed, holding the woman tightly. Tears began falling down her eyes as the woman, Sasha, struggled to pass a message. "Be careful. She will come. Two days. Gone," she said, struggling. Ava turned to look at Zora. "Aren't you a witch? Do something! Save her!" Ava screamed, crying profusely. Zora offered her a sad smile. "I can't. I can't interfere with death or there will be consequences," She sai
NATALIE "I'm Zora, Isra's sister," she said, sticking her hand out. I put my hand on my forehead as I stepped back from her. "Hold on, let me help you," she continued, coming closer. I was weak so I just let her do whatever the hell she was doing. "I don't trust you," I muttered. Zora smiled as she placed her hand on my forehead and closed her eyes. She began chanting some strange words and slowly, I felt the dizziness leaving me. "Natalie!" Ace yelled. I opened my eyes and saw him running towards us. "Hey, what are you doing to her?" He yelled. "If he interrupts what I'm doing, there will be dire consequences to the three of us. I can't stop until I'm done," Zora said, eyes still closed. I put a hand out, telling Ace to slow down. 'Calm the fuck down, Ace, she's helping me,' I mind linked him. Ace slowed down but still looked worried. Zora kept her hand over my head for a few more minutes before she stood up. She gave me a helping hand too. I shook my head noticing that I didn't
NATALIE ONE WEEK LATER It's officially been a week since our discovery. Ever since then, I haven't had much time to investigate any more. Although, I have been thinking about the vision of Devin Georgina showed me. Two days ago, Amelia, Chloe, Rachel and Jared came so they could attend the event. I was currently shopping with the three of them. "So you're telling me that your life turned into a literal fantasy/action movie as soon as you married Ace?" Jared asked. I stuffed a bagel into my mouth as I nodded. "That's exciting," Rachel said, holding up a dress on my body. "How does this look?" She asked. "Another maroon dress? Let's try other colors,"I said, walking to the clothing rack. "No," they screamed together. "I mean, maroon would look heaven on you," Chloe said, giving me a shaky smile. "Something's fishy," I replied. "Jared, why don't you go look for a suit for yourself?" Rachel said, pushing him away. Jared left without fuss which only raised my suspicions more. "Wha
NATALIE "A Crysta has a hand in what's going on. And I have a feeling Isra is the Crysta." Ace's words had been repeating itself in my head ever since. I'd finished preparing my speech and I was currently searching about Crystas. Almost nothing came up. I found one particular article about Crystas though. The only good thing I got out of it was that Crystas could be good or bad. The good ones lived like monks and it would be extremely hard to find them. "Natalie?" Emma said, cutting my thoughts. "Yeah?" I answered, glancing up at her. "Ace said he's going to be late. The meeting is taking a while so he sent Jayden to come take you home," Emma said. She stepped aside, making way for Jayden. Jayden was wearing a black button up long sleeve shirt with black trousers. He had on a loose tie and his hair looked extremely messy. "Are you ready?" He asked, coming closer. Emma had left already so I nodded. I packed up my things and walked out with Jayden bes
NATALIE "Rise and shine, princess," Ace whispered in my ear. I groaned and turned around. "Open your eyes," he whispered. I grumbled as I turned the other way again. Ace made a tsk sound then I heard the sound of footsteps. Everywhere got quiet for a moment before I felt cold as ice water on me. "Fucking Goddess," I yelled, straightening up and rubbing my eyes. Ace smirked as he came to my front. I saw red before anything else. "You, idiot. How dare you do that to me? I swear, when I'm done with you—" I said, rushing to hit him. Ace skillfully caught both my hands in his and looked at me devilishly. "You'll what?" He asked, raising a brow. My anger began to clear and I finally noticed something. Ace was shirtless. My cheeks heated up as I struggled to get out of his grip. "Nothing, I was just blabbing. Sleep. I'm still sleepy," I stuttered. Ace chuckled as he let go of my hand. He walked to the bedside table and picked up a glass of water then looked at
NATALIE "Ace?" I asked, knocking on the door of the study. It was already 9pm and I'd just gotten back a few minutes ago. Ava had told me that since we left, Ace hadn't come out of the study meaning he hadn't had his dinner. Which was why I was currently standing in front of his study door, holding a plate of salad. "Come in," He answered. I pushed the door open and went in. Ace was hunched over his desk, looking over a couple of files. He raised his head up to look at me and that was when I noticed he was wearing glasses. "Woah, Ace, I never knew you wore glasses," I said, placing the salad bowl on his desk and walking closer to him. I pulled the glasses off his face and brought them closer to my eyes. "There are a lot of things you don't know about me, princess. When did you get back?" He asked, dragging me to sit on his lap. "A few minutes ago," I answered as I put the glasses back on his face. I pulled back so I could enjoy the view. Men, no scratch that, Ace with glasses was
