Chapter 24 Twenty four

DANIELLE'S P.O.V.

Adrian stared at me like I had suddenly grown horns.

"What are you talking about?" he asked, suspicion heavily lacing his tone.

"This." I said while pulling out the brown paper bag from my purse. "I need answers to these."

Adrian stood from his office chair and walked over to one of the couches. I sat on a sofa across from him and crossed my legs, ensuring that the skirt of my dress rode up my knees, exposing a sufficient amount of skin. I saw Adrian's eyes dart towards my exposed laps for a brief second and look away. He cleared his throat and adjusted his neck tie.

"What do you want?" he asked.

I gently poured out the contents of the bag onto the centre table.

"I don't really understand any of this." I said.

"What's there not to understand?" he asked.

"Look, Adrian. I would not be seated here, listening to and watching you act like crap if I could make sense of it by myself."

He stared at me for a few seconds, saying nothing. Then he picked up the papers I had drop
