ZORA'S POV

"Don't worry, Kathy," I said for what felt like the umpteenth time. "The kids and I will be fine."

She shot me a look which was no doubt meant to be surprised at statement.

"Worry? Me? Of course I am not worrying. We are just talking. That's all."

But there was a worried look on her face all the same. Her eyes were a bit far away and it looked like she was thinking of more things to tell me, which I was sure would be the case before she finally left. I hid a grin. Katherine was folding up the clothes she would go with. She stuffed them into her bag automatically without really paying attention to what she was doing. She shot glances at me from time to time. I had almost forgotten this facet of Katherine.

Everyone close to me knew me as a worrier, someone that had the tendency to obsess over little situations. Katherine had this tendency too, though she was usually so well put together and efficient that it was well hidden. All through yesterday, she had talked my ear off a
