Rain’s POV.

I grumble, tossing around on my bed. I feel the warm morning sun beating down on me. I groan, hating its scorching effect.

“Dammit!” I rise on my feet to close the blinds.

I really need to sleep more before going to school today.

However, just as I stand up to close the curtain, I scream, momentarily startled to see Nadia in my room.

She’s sitting on my dresser with a smug grin on her face.

“Good morning, sister…” She smiles sinisterly at me, flicking her hair between her fingers.

My body tenses at the sight of her. I wonder why she’s here this early.

“Oh, don’t give me that look. Can’t a sister pay a visit?” She teases me as she rises to her feet.

I cross my arms over her chest and stare down at her. It’s a good thing I’m taller than her. As if sensing my thoughts, she laughs a little mischievously.

“Don’t brag about your height, Rain. We both know I’m a lot prettier than you’ll ever be…”
