Chapter Twenty Three: Two Unwanted Visitors

DAMON’S POV

A sigh escaped my lips as I turned on the television to watch a soccer match. I was home alone as Susan and Rose went out to do some shopping.

For the past one week, their relationship has been steady, Susan was making an effort, and it was reflecting on Rose. On some days, Susan got back home before and she would always make dinner with Rose.

I was happy that they were getting along and Susan? She was literally the happiest. And with Rose, it was neutral, there were a lot of things unsaid between us, but I swept everything under the carpet.

Susan was happy and I was at peace with myself. Or not.

With the match going on, I decided to grab a bowl of popcorn and coke to munch on while watching the match.
