Rosette POV

"Are you okay?" Caleb asked, strapping his seat belt on, and I simply nodded because I was far from being okay.

I felt suffocated in Caleb's car, and as he started driving, I just wanted to open the car and run away, run back to Damon and sort everything out.

The desperation in his voice, as he begged me to listen to him, echoed in my head, stabbing my heart mercilessly.

Did I push the whole thing so far? Should I have just listened to whatever he had to say? Probably give him a chance to explain himself?

"Yes, I'm alright" I answered softly.

"You can't believe how happy I am, seeing you here with me, it feels so unreal, I hope you are comfortable" Caleb stated.

"Yes I am,"

"I hope you like the movie, I booked for us, do you know when you told me you were coming, I had to send all my friends away, well except Rowland, I just knew you would be okay with him" Caleb added again.

"Yes, he's actually really nice," I answered again.

I hoped Caleb would notice that I wasn't reall

It was quite a lot, but thankfully we have a machine and it does the work faster and even better. After I was done with my laundry, I had to go back to my study to go through the minutes of the meeting I had earlier with my foreign letter, befor

Susan quipped, glaring at me.I took a deep breath in, taking a step further towards her and before she could say anything, I wrapped my hands around her waist and then kissed her.I kissed her hard, with every anger and frustration I was feeling within me, but Susan kept resisting me and that I pulled her even closer, as our tongues fought for dominance until Susan shoved me off."What the hell has gotten into you Damon?" She threw at me, panting heavily."What.. I miss you Susan, I hate it whenever we fight, and I'm so sorry" I apologized, cupping her face and Susan threw her face away."Look at me please Susan, I will die if you keep fighting with me, I can't bear it anymore and I want you..." I couldn't help but read the message over and over again, as my entire body tenses up, in anticipation of the punishment. That was sick.So sick.I turned off my phone, grabbing a chocolate bar from the basket, and I walked out of the kitchen.Once I got to my room, I decided to shower. It's been a long day, with Caleb and the whole cinema thing, and ok getting home, just to see Kara with Damon. And all the anger and hurt from earlier, returned in full force.I couldn't even stand the sight of them standing so close to each other, and I nearly lost my mind when Damon didn't even try to stop me.Okay, he did. Rosette's POVOf course I would join Damon in the kitchen, this was our one time opportunity to probably fix whatever is left to be fixed and I wasn't going to trade it for anything, but before that, I needed to stop by my mom's room. When Damon brought up the issue of Diego coming over, with his friend I noticed, mom didn't object nor accept, and so I felt that I should talk to her about it one more time to know if she was still wary about Diego."Hi mom," I said, stepping into her study, her eyes fixed on her computer as her fingers danced endlessly on the keyboard."Rose, you are here?" My mother asked, without taking her eyes off the screen.Typical Susan.Sometimes, I wonder what drives my mom to work so hard, because we aren't poor and if she decides not to work for the next ten years, we will still be able to live comfortably.I guess she was just obsessed with her work, or the idea that she was a workaholic?Does it add to her identity or was it just passion?I might never kn

I need to change my clothes, I won't be able to join y'all for dinner with this” My mother chirped.“You can go change or something, I will handle Diego and others until you return, but please do not waste time” Damon warned.“Yes captain, I will be very quick, please excuse me now” She said one more time before spinning off, leaving just Damon and I.I have no idea how to feel about everything that has been going on, so I decided to let this play out, and face

Do you mean that or are you just joking?” Diego asked again, feigning ignorance to the fact that I'm a good cook.He knows this better than anyone else, but he just decided to be a jerk, a good one as a matter of fact.“It doesn't matter if it was made by Susan or Damon, they hosted us and we should show gratitude for that Diego,” Nathan Chided. He was far more sensible and responsible than Diego, and also was an Introvert. When Diego told me that Nathan was coming over, I almost couldn't believe it. Man wouldn't leave the comfort of his city for anything in the whole world.Susan gave a small nod towards Nathan and I just knew that was her sign of accepting him.Tough luck with making her accept Diego then. Rosette's POV After our little romantic dance in the sitting room, Damon and I found ourselves in the kitchen. While I refilled my water bottle, Damon munched on some snacks, there were lots of papers over the counter top, his glasses and his laptop."Can I ask you something?" "Sure""Is everything okay with you? I mean with work and all, you have been way too busy and engaged with it recently so..."Damon sighed, taking a deep breath as he dropped the bowl of chips in his hands, "Actually work is crazy but there's nothing you should be worried about" "Well, it's just that I have never seen you work so hard and you look worried mostly" I pointed out.Damon forced a smile as he walked closer to me, "I will handle everything, and that's enough about me, what are your plans for tomorrow?" He asked, tracing my cheeks with his thumb."Well...I was going to drop by at school, start my registration for the next semester and after that, mom and I are going to the dentist" I answered."Hmm

Rosette POV.I kept tossing on the bed, endlessly, despite everything that has happened, for some reason I still couldn't sleep.I was thoroughly tired, but yet wide awake, the scene with my mom replaying over and over again in my head. Coupled with many others. The holiday was almost over, so was our pact with Damon. We had only two weeks and two days left. And with school resuming that means I will have to face Caleb and Rowland again. I already promised my mom that we are cool as friends, but it was far from it.Throughout the last semester, I spent half of it avoiding Kara. At some point, I avoided Caleb and now I was going to repeat it again?Exhausting.I wondered if he was also thinking about it the way the thought weighed in my mind.A small sigh escaped my lips as I sat up, turning the room lights on as I reached for my water bottle, only to discover that it was empty.A reason to go downstairs.I yawned, throwing my legs off the bed as I slipped my feet into my slippers, bef

Rosette's POV "Hey baby, can I come in?" I heard my mother's voice, after about half an hour since I returned to my room."Yeahhh" I answered, sitting up while adjusting the bed covers.I spent the last thirty minutes trying not to think of whatever transpired downstairs as I busied my hands and mind by cleaning up the entire room. The door opened slightly as my mom walked in, her face dried and her eyes a bit red, a solid evidence of how much she had cried."What are you doing?" She asked, closing the door gently behind her."Nothing, just here" I answered, looking around."Are you hungry, should I heat up something for you?" She asked, sitting at the edge of the bed while smoothing her dress. An awkward tension crept its way into the room as an odd silence hung over us."Why is it always weird between us, I'm your mother I shouldn't be scared of you," My mother started again.A slight chuckle escaped my lips as I tossed a pillow towards her, "Why should you be scared of me?
