DAMON POV

“Sleek car,” Kara commented.

“Thank you?” I added without taking my eyes off the road, the only reason why I was doing this was all because of Rose.

Yes, driving to the other side of the city just for Rose.

“Do you have more of this?” she asked again, as her eyes wandered all over.

“Yes”

“That is cool, I have been so busy settling down with school and my Granny’s health issues, Rose has been asking me to come over but i haven’t had the time yet” She added again.

“Oh, I’m sorry about that,” I responded.

“You dont have to be sorry, you know old age comes with this thing, the sickness and the constant drugs, she will be fine, you tell me are you always this quiet?” she asked.

“Pardon?”

“I mean, Rose says you are actually a cool person but now you are acting all shy with me, dont be like that Mr Brooks, talk to me…” she insisted.

My brows furrowed in deep thoughts trying to come up with something to say, Kara was way too comfortable with me and it made me uneasy.
