The kiss with Jack was intense and passionate, my whole body responded to him in a way like never before. But for crissake he was my mother's husband, my stepfather! What in the world was I doing?

I tried to push him away, but Jack held me tight, his arms wrapping around me like a vice. His lips moved against mine, demanding and insistent. I felt a surge of resistance, but my body betrayed me, melting into his touch.

As we kissed, the room around us melted away, leaving only the two of us, lost in a sea of tension and desire. I couldn't think, couldn't breathe, couldn't do anything but feel.

And then, just as suddenly as it had begun, Jack pulled away, his chest heaving with emotion. We stood there, panting, our eyes locked in a fierce stare.

"What are you doing, Jack?" I whispered, my voice shaking with emotion.

Jack's eyes burned with intensity. "I'm showing you how I feel, Sophia. I'm tired of pretending."

I felt a shiver run down my spine as I realized the truth. Jack's feelings f

The next day, I was sitting in the living room when Jack walked in with a big smile on his face. "I've got a surprise for you, Karen," he said, his eyes shining with excitement. My mother's face lit up. "Oh, Jack, what is it?"Jack nodded towards the window. "Go take a look outside."My mother got up and walked to the window, pulling back the curtains. Her eyes widened in shock. "Jack, is that... a new car?"Jack nodded. "Yes, it is."My mother's face lit up as she gazed at the sleek, new car parked outside. "Jack, it's beautiful! Thank you so much!"But as she turned to him with a smile, Jack's eyes flicked to me, and he said, "Actually, Karen, the car is for Sophia."My mother's expression faltered, and she looked taken aback. "Oh, I... I thought it was for me," she stammered.I felt a surge of embarrassment, but Jack just smiled and said, "I thought Sophia deserved a new car. She's been working hard and needs a reliable ride. She doesn't need a stranger to give her a ride home."My

I decided to ignore the tension with Jack and focus on my feelings for Alex. I couldn't believe what Jack had just confessed, but I needed some time to process it. I grabbed my phone and sent Alex a text. "Hey, want to hang out today?" He replied almost immediately. "Yeah, I'd love to. What did you have in mind?" I smiled, feeling a flutter in my chest. "How about we grab some coffee at our favourite spot and take a walk in the park?" Alex agreed, and we made plans to meet up later that day. As I got ready to leave, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. I was really starting to develop feelings for Alex, and I couldn't wait to spend more time with him. But as I walked out the door, I caught a glimpse of Jack watching me from the living room window. His eyes looked sad and longing, and I felt a pang of guilt. I pushed the feeling aside and focused on the day ahead. I was going to enjoy my time with Alex and worry about Jack's feelings later. As I met up with Alex

Alex walks into the coffee shop, expecting to see me waiting for him. Instead, he's surprised to see Rachel sitting at our usual table, sipping on a latte. "Hey, Alex!" Rachel says with a smile. Alex’s confusion is evident. "Where's Sophia? She texted me to meet her here." Rachel's expression turns serious. "No, that was me. I used her phone to text you." Alex's mind starts racing. Why did Rachel do something as sneaky as that? "Okay... what's going on?" Alex asks, taking a seat next to Rachel. Rachel takes a deep breath before launching into an explanation. "I hear things are going well with you and Sophia, but I don't think you know her well enough to even consider being in a relationship with her." Alex's forehead wrinkles with confusion. “What exactly are you talking about?" "Sophia's been feeling really guilty about her mom's marriage problems. She thinks she's the reason Jack and her mom are having issues." Alex's eyes widen in surprise. "That's not true! Sophia'

My eyes fluttered closed as Jack's fingers teased my nipples. I couldn't believe I was surrendering to my desires, but my body craved his touch. I pulled closer to him, wanting to feel his touch even more. "Please..." I whispered, "don't stop." Jack obeyed, and soon my nighties was slipped down from my body, fully exposing my breast and erected nipples to him. "You're so beautiful, Sophia." he mutters, his voice choked with desire. My whole body tensed at his words. My core dripped. I wanted him so badly. As if he could hear my thoughts his hand traced down to my dripping core. "you're so wet for me, Sophie. You want me, don't you?" I nodded, unable to utter a single word.Jack's fingers delved further into my core. My whole body vibrated as i responded to his intimate touch. I sat in front of my mirror, staring at my reflection as I applied my makeup for my birthday party. In a few hours, I'll be Nineteen years, but my mind wasn't on the celebration ahead - it was on Alex. It had been days since we last spoke, and I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was wrong. We had been growing closer, and I had thought that our relationship was on solid ground. But now, I wasn't so sure. I sighed, putting down my mascara wand. Why had Alex been so distant lately? Did I do something wrong? The questions swirled in my head, making me feel anxious and uncertain. Just then, my phone buzzed with a text from Rachel. "Hey, happy birthday! Can't wait to celebrate with you tonight!" I forced a smile, typing out a response. "Thanks, Rach! Can't wait to see you tonight!" But as I put down my phone, my mind drifted back to Alex. As I stepped out onto the balcony, I heard the door open behind me. I turned around to find Jack standing there, his expression serious. “Are you okay?” I asked, my voice soft, almost hesitant. Jack closed the door behind him, stepping closer. “I could ask you the same thing. You seemed… distracted back there.” I sighed, leaning against the balcony railing. “I was just thinking about you, actually. You didn’t seem happy when Alex asked me to be his girlfriend.” Jack’s jaw tightened slightly, and he looked away, staring out at the night sky. “Sophia, it’s not that I’m not happy for you. I just—” He paused, as if searching for the right words. “I worry about you. You’re young, and relationships can be complicated. I don’t want to see you get hurt.” I frowned, trying to make sense of his words. “I know relationships can be complicated, but I trust Alex. He’s been nothing but kind to me.”

My knees nearly buckled beneath me. I stared at Rachel, my mind struggling to process the sight before me. The girl who once shared my secrets, my laughter, my life—now stood before me as my captor, her arms crossed with a cruel smirk playing on her lips.“Surprised?” she taunted, tilting her head slightly. “You shouldn’t be. Jack walked in just as my mother and I were pulling away from our emotional embrace. His footsteps were firm but cautious, and I could tell he had been standing outside the door for a while, listening. His gaze flickered between us, taking in my tear-streaked face and my mother’s red-rimmed eyes. His expression was unreadable, but I could see the tension in his posture, the years of resentment buried beneath his composed exterior. For a long moment, no one spoke. Then, my mother took a deep breath and turned to him. “Jack,” she started softly, folding her hands together, as if gathering the strength to say what had been left unsaid for too long. “I owe you an apology.” Jack arched a brow slightly, clearly not expecting that. His jaw tightened, but he said nothing, waiting for her to continue. “I know I made things difficult for you. I made it no secret that I disapproved of you, of your relationship with my daughter. Days turned into weeks, and life slowly began to settle into a new rhythm. My body was healing, my daughter was growing stronger, and Jack did everything in his power to make sure I felt safe. Yet, despite everything, there was still a heaviness inside me, a wound that had nothing to do with my physical health. It was the wound my mother had left behind.I tried to ignore it. Tried to tell myself that it didn’t matter, that I didn’t need her. But at night, when the house was quiet, I couldn’t stop thinking about how she had looked at me in my dream. The way she had looked at me with so much anger, so much disappointment. The way she had planned to hurt me, as if I meant nothing to her. But it was all a dream. I kept telling myself that. And then, one evening, she showed up at my doorstep.I froze when I saw her standing there, dressed simply in a dark blue dress, looking smaller than I remembered. Jack frowned, his eyes scanning my face. “What is it? Are you in pain? Do you need anything?”I shook my head. “No, it’s not that.” I hesitated before finally whispering, “It’s about what I saw while I was in a coma.”Jack’s brows furrowed. “You mean… like a dream?”I swallowed hard. “It felt real, Jack. Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes as I held onto my mother, feeling the raw emotion in her embrace. It was different from the cold, calculating version of her that had haunted my dreams. My mother—was trembling, vulnerable, and truly relieved to see me alive. She pulled away slightly, her eyes scanning my face as if to make sure I was really there. “You scared me, sweetheart,” she whispered, her voice hoarse. “We almost lost you.” I swallowed hard, shifting my gaze to my father. He wasn’t a man of many words, but the depth of emotion in his eyes told me everything. He had been just as terrified. Jack cleared his throat, stepping forward. “She’s still weak,” he said gently. “Let’s not overwhelm her.” My mother nodded, dabbing at her eyes before glancing down at the bundle in my arms. Her expression softened instantly. “Can I…?” She hesitated, looking at me as if asking for permission. I glanced down at my daughter, my heart swelling with love. My mother had been by my s
