The kiss with Jack was intense and passionate, my whole body responded to him in a way like never before. But for crissake he was my mother's husband, my stepfather! What in the world was I doing?

I tried to push him away, but Jack held me tight, his arms wrapping around me like a vice. His lips moved against mine, demanding and insistent. I felt a surge of resistance, but my body betrayed me, melting into his touch.

As we kissed, the room around us melted away, leaving only the two of us, lost in a sea of tension and desire. I couldn't think, couldn't breathe, couldn't do anything but feel.

And then, just as suddenly as it had begun, Jack pulled away, his chest heaving with emotion. We stood there, panting, our eyes locked in a fierce stare.

"What are you doing, Jack?" I whispered, my voice shaking with emotion.

Jack's eyes burned with intensity. "I'm showing you how I feel, Sophia. I'm tired of pretending."

I felt a shiver run down my spine as I realized the truth. Jack's feelings f

"I've got a surprise for you, Karen," he said, his eyes shining with excitement. My mother's face lit up. "Oh, Jack, what is it?"Jack nodded towards the window. "Go take a look outside."My mother got up and walked to the window, pulling back the curtains. Her eyes widened in shock. "Jack, is that... a new car?"Jack nodded. "Yes, it is."My mother's face lit up as she gazed at the sleek, new car parked outside. "Jack, it's beautiful! Thank you so much!"But as she turned to him with a smile, Jack's eyes flicked to me, and he said, "Actually, Karen, the car is for Sophia."My mother's expression faltered, and she looked taken aback. "Oh, I... I thought it was for me," she stammered.I felt a surge of embarrassment, but Jack just smiled and said, "I thought Sophia deserved a new car. She's been working hard and needs a reliable ride. She doesn't need a stranger to give her a ride home."My

I decided to ignore the tension with Jack and focus on my feelings for Alex. I couldn't believe what Jack had just confessed, but I needed some time to process it. I grabbed my phone and sent Alex a text. "Hey, want to hang out today?" He replied almost immediately. "Yeah, I'd love to. What did you have in mind?" I smiled, feeling a flutter in my chest. "How about we grab some coffee at our favourite spot and take a walk in the park?" Alex agreed, and we made plans to meet up later that day. As I got ready to leave, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. I was really starting to develop feelings for Alex, and I couldn't wait to spend more time with him. But as I walked out the door, I caught a glimpse of Jack watching me from the living room window. His eyes looked sad and longing, and I felt a pang of guilt. I pushed the feeling aside and focused on the day ahead. I was going to enjoy my time with Alex and worry about Jack's feelings later. As I met up with Alex

Alex walks into the coffee shop, expecting to see me waiting for him. Instead, he's surprised to see Rachel sitting at our usual table, sipping on a latte. "Hey, Alex!" Rachel says with a smile. Alex’s confusion is evident. "Where's Sophia? She texted me to meet her here." Rachel's expression turns serious. "No, that was me. I used her phone to text you." Alex's mind starts racing. Why did Rachel do something as sneaky as that? "Okay... what's going on?" Alex asks, taking a seat next to Rachel. Rachel takes a deep breath before launching into an explanation. "I hear things are going well with you and Sophia, but I don't think you know her well enough to even consider being in a relationship with her." Alex's forehead wrinkles with confusion. “What exactly are you talking about?" "Sophia's been feeling really guilty about her mom's marriage problems. She thinks she's the reason Jack and her mom are having issues." Alex's eyes widen in surprise. "That's not true! Sophia'

My eyes fluttered closed as Jack's fingers teased my nipples. I couldn't believe I was surrendering to my desires, but my body craved his touch. I pulled closer to him, wanting to feel his touch even more. "Please..." I whispered, "don't stop." Jack obeyed, and soon my nighties was slipped down from my body, fully exposing my breast and erected nipples to him. "You're so beautiful, Sophia." he mutters, his voice choked with desire. My whole body tensed at his words. My core dripped. I wanted him so badly. As if he could hear my thoughts his hand traced down to my dripping core. "you're so wet for me, Sophie. I sat in front of my mirror, staring at my reflection as I applied my makeup for my birthday party. In a few hours, I'll be Nineteen years, but my mind wasn't on the celebration ahead - it was on Alex. It had been days since we last spoke, and I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was wrong. We had been growing closer, and I had thought that our relationship was on solid ground. But now, I wasn't so sure. I sighed, putting down my mascara wand. Why had Alex been so distant lately? Did I do something wrong? The questions swirled in my head, making me feel anxious and uncertain. Just then, my phone buzzed with a text from Rachel. "Hey, happy birthday! Can't wait to celebrate with you tonight!" I forced a smile, typing out a response. "Thanks, Rach! Can't wait to see you tonight!" But as I put down my phone, my mind drifted back to Alex. I wished he would reach out, wished he would tell me what was going on. But as the hours t

As I stepped out onto the balcony, I heard the door open behind me. I turned around to find Jack standing there, his expression serious. “Are you okay?” I asked, my voice soft, almost hesitant. Jack closed the door behind him, stepping closer. “I could ask you the same thing. You seemed… distracted back there.” I sighed, leaning against the balcony railing. “I was just thinking about you, actually. You didn’t seem happy when Alex asked me to be his girlfriend.” Jack’s jaw tightened slightly, and he looked away, staring out at the night sky. “Sophia, it’s not that I’m not happy for you. I just—” He paused, as if searching for the right words. “I worry about you. You’re young, and relationships can be complicated. I don’t want to see you get hurt.” I frowned, trying to make sense of his words. “I know relationships can be complicated, but I trust Alex. He’s been nothing but kind to me.”

The sun had already dipped below the horizon by the time I reached Jack's private apartment. My heart was pounding—not from fear, but from determination. We needed to be united against them, no matter what they threw our way.I used the spare key Jack had given me the last time I was here after knocking severally with no response. Pushing open the door to his apartment. The living room was dimly lit, a faint glow spilling out from under the bedroom door. I hesitated, suddenly uneasy.“Jack?” I called softly. No response.I stepped further inside, my unease growing with every step. When I reached the bedroom, I gently pushed the door open, only for the sight before me to send my world crashing down.Jack was in bed, tangled in the sheets with Rachel. Her head was nestled against his chest, and his arm was draped possessively over her. My mother reached for my hand, her eyes brimming with tears. “I’m trying to protect you, Sophia. From him, from the pain I know is coming if you stay with him. Please, believe me.” I pulled my hand away, standing to put some distance between us. “I can’t, Mom. I can’t just trust you after everything you’ve done. You’re not trying to protect me—you’re trying to control me. And I won’t let you.” Her shoulders slumped, and for the first time, she looked truly defeated. “You think I’m the enemy,” she said quietly. “But one day, you’ll see. One day, you’ll realize I was right about him.” Without another word, she rose and walked to the door. Before leaving, she turned back to me, her expression a mix of sadness and resolve. “I just hope it won’t be too late when you do.” As the door clicked shut behind her, I sank onto my bed, my mind swirling with doubt and anger. Was she right about Jack? About me? But deep down, I knew one thing for certain: I couldn’t let her control my life,

An hour later, the sound of a car pulling into the driveway drew me to the window. Jefferson stepped out, his tall frame and commanding presence impossible to miss. I hurried downstairs to let him in. “Thank you for coming,” I said, my voice shaky but grateful. He placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder. “Of course. Where is she?” “In the living room,” I said, gesturing toward the door. Jefferson nodded and walked in, his footsteps firm and deliberate. My mother looked up from her tea, her eyes narrowing when she saw him. “What are you doing here?” she asked coldly, setting her cup down. Jefferson didn’t respond immediately. Instead, he took a seat across from her, his expression unreadable. “We need to talk, Karen.” “I don’t have anything to say to you,” she snapped. “Well, I have plenty to say to you,” he replied, his tone calm but unyielding. “This plan of yours to use Sophia’s situation to get money out of Jack—it’s despicable, even for you.” Her eyes flashed wit

When I got home, the weight of the confrontation at the station still pressed heavily on my chest. My mother’s words echoed in my mind, each syllable laced with anger and judgment. I slammed the door behind me, my steps firm as I made my way to the living room where she sat, sipping tea like nothing had happened. She glanced up at me, her face composed, as if the firestorm she had unleashed didn’t exist. “Why, Mom?” I demanded, my voice trembling with a mix of fury and disbelief. “Why would you go to the police? Do you have any idea what you’ve done?” She set her cup down with a deliberate slowness, her gaze sharp but calm. “I did what any mother would do to protect her daughter.” “Protect me?” I laughed bitterly, crossing my arms. “Don’t pretend this is about me. You’ve been trying to destroy Jack from the start. What’s your plan, Mom? What are you really after?” Her lips pressed into a thin line, and for a moment, I thought she wouldn’t answer. It had been days since my last conversation with Jack, and I was still navigating the emotional storm it had left behind. But the thought that kept reoccurring the most was our initmate time together. It was so good, I replayed it several times, and somehow wished I could go back to him and do it all over again. The dim light of the bedroom cast shadows on the walls, and the world outside seemed to fade away as Jack gently set me down on the bed. Jack guided me to the couch, his arm still loosely wrapped around my shoulders. The weight of the world felt lighter in his presence, even if only for a little while.“I told her, Jack,” I said softly, breaking the silence. “About my feelings for you. About us... and now she’s demanding I keep the baby and do whatever she says.”He let out a low, frustrated sigh. “Karen doesn’t forgive easily. She’s definitely up to something.”I nodded, tears welling up again. “I don’t know what to do. I agreed to her terms because I just wanted her to stop looking at me like I’m a stranger, like I ruined everything.”Jack leaned back, running a hand over his face. “Sophia, you didn’t ruin everything.
