Chapter 19

Dashtan canceled his plans to meet Rakia to discuss their marriage contract. Suddenly, his father called him to temporarily review the construction site of the Dubai city water irrigation, which the government would soon work on in collaboration with his company. His company won the tender to construct clean water irrigation for Dubai. As a result, he only sent Rakia an email containing the contract they would live under during their marriage.

“You can add and disagree with the points of the contract, so we can discuss it later when I return to Singapore,” Dahstan wrote in his email. Rakia smiled and opened the document sent to her. She read each point carefully. Letting out a long sigh, Rakia bit her lower lip with a feeling of uncertainty. Some issues made her reconsider, but her interests also compelled her.
