CHAPTER 104. Author's POV. “What are you both talking about? I don't mean to be nosy, but where exactly are you going?” Alpha Trent's father asked. He stared curiously at them. Alpha Trent sighed and exchanged glances with Eva. 'Should I tell him about our trip to your pack, or should I lie about it?' Alpha Trent questioned through the mind link. 'There isn't a need to conceal things from him, he is wiser than us and could give advice that would certainly be advantageous to our trip' Eva replied. 'We aren't amateurs though, especially you who have been an Alpha from a young age, but some suggestions won't hurt' She added through the mind link and smiled. Eva was glad to finally have an identity. She wasn't just Eva Silverstone who was forgotten but Eva Silverstone Smith. She gained an identity, two packs, a mate, a family, and the opportunity to communicate with others through the mind, especially her mate. Furthermore, she had officially become Luna and could link everyone.
CHAPTER 106. Author's POV. Eva was shocked as well, she fixed her head back into the car and faced Alpha Trent, who looked calm in such turmoil. “Why are you so relaxed?” Eva questioned, staring curiously at her mate. “Trent” The side of his lips curved into a smirk, he said. “They are here to protect us, and there isn't a need to worry about our security. They are in their wolf form because it's more scary and intimidating”. “Scary and intimidating?” Eva, gasped and smacked his arm. “What are you turning into these days? You ordered such and never bothered to tell me”. “I am your Luna and I deserve to have knowledge of these sorts of things; what if you scared our driver, and he sways and crashes into something out of the fear of being attacked” Eva queried and scolded him like a child. Alpha Trent simply stared at her, blinking repeatedly. The way she talked to him made him feel immature, and he had to acknowledge that fact a little. “You were being unreasonable,” “I apologi
CHAPTER 107. Author's POV. The car slowly came to a halt and the driver came out and opened the door for Alpha Trent. When he stepped out, he was about to do likewise for Eva, but she came out before he did. Eva closed the door and gazed at the wolves that had distanced themselves from the car. They howled, and it made Eva feel safe and honoured. “You should at least wait for me to perform an act of chivalry” Alpha Trent complained, but Eva paid him no attention. She was instead looking at the compound and the mansion that brought her more hassles than she could imagine. The memories of the constant beatings, rape, and abuse came to her mind. It made her feel dizzy, recalling so much at such a fast rate. Eva staggered back but Alpha Trent was able to hold her, she didn't even realise his closeness until his hands grasped her arms. “Eva, are you alright?” Alpha Trent inquired, noticing her pale face. “Do you feel like sitting?” “No, I'm good,” Eva replied and leaned against th
CHAPTER 108. Author's POV. Eva hopped on the couch like a child, she had been running around the apartment since they arrived, and Alpha Trent was glad that she was in cheerful spirits. “This couch is pretty soft, what material do you think it's made of?” Eva questioned and lowered her knees on it. “I don't know, but I guess cotton,” Alpha Trent replied and pressed his finger on it. He laid more comfortably on the couch and answered each of Eva's silly and tiring questions. “Trent, do you think the people will listen to us? You remember that they literally detest me for killing Liam and you for being my mate” Eva inquired and her mood saddened. “They have no choice, and you shouldn't think about it too much. Alright?” Alpha Trent advised and had the urge to reach out to her. Eva sat and folded her legs over each other. “I didn't think it through before asking us to come here; I guess I was desperate to salvage the situation” Alpha Trent smiled affectionately. “Do you know one
CHAPTER 109. Author's POV. “Maid?” Eva uttered and stared at her suspiciously. The blonde woman nodded and had a beautiful beam on her lips. She knew how to smile well and get people's attention. Everyone thought she was an angel or a nice person because of the lovely smile that was usually seen on her face, but it was just a pretence. She was pleasant when she desired and could turn cruel instantly. She was not recommended for this task in vain. Furthermore, she had experience and results, some of those results were the deaths of some families she worked for, but she had never been incriminated or caught. Others would be accused of her crime and sentenced. She had a good name in the pack, and she was known to be incredibly friendly and jovial. These characteristics and rumours or beliefs had made her tasks much easier. Everyone was fooled, and no one ever suspected the ever blissful maid except that she was definitely wrong this time. “Luna, the manager sent me here to take
CHAPTER 110.Author's POV. Raquel had never been this humiliated in her life, but she would endure it to get closer to her. The Eva in front of her seemed tough, but she knew Eva for a long time, and she had always had this weak spot for people. Raquel also had the intention of making her look bad in front of people. She had ordered her to kneel and this could give people the wrong impression. People never listen, but only believe in what they've seen. She couldn't deny that Eva was still ignorant. “You haven't apologised properly, why don't you tell everyone in this place, how you used to hit me mercilessly and asked the warriors to rape me!” Eva said loudly, and some bystanders gasped. Others had heard of her before but were still surprised that Raquel could do such a thing, they used to see her as their future Luna. They watched how Liam showered her with love.Raquel's breath hitched in her throat, her body began shaking voluntarily. “Confess the sins of Liam who used to lay
CHAPTER 111.Author's POV. Raquel screamed again, but nobody appeared. People at the other side of the road were stunned by her scream and looked at her like she was crazy. Raquel inhaled sharply and hid back her knife. “If this is your plan to drive me insane, then you have committed a mistake!” Raquel screamed at the top of her voice, she blinked back her tears that threatened to fall from her eyes. She was going to be strong and not anyone trampled on her again. She would never berate herself again to the status of someone like Eva. Evs might be Luna right now, but in her eyes, she will always remain the petty slave that once licked her feet. That day was going to come again, very soon. “Whoever you are, don't come out of your hiding because I will kill you for trying to scare me or rather drive me crazy” Raquel talked to no one in particular. “Tell Eva that I might have shown my weak side today, but there won't be a next time” Raquel snarled and walked away. She continued
CHAPTER 112Author's POV. The warrior bowed again and left the room. Eva faced Alpha Trent with a smile. “This could be the solution and finally those evil people will be exposed” Eva smiled again. Alpha Trent didn't smile back but instead said; “it's too soon to rejoice, we should raise her hopes too high when it comes to hearsays.”Eva's smile disappeared as he said that, he ruined her mood. “You should be more positive when it comes to these sorts of things, negativity will only make things difficult” Eva advised. “Luna is right, being too negative will only stagnate our progress” Jean supported Eva. Alpha Trent sighed in defeat and ended up agreeing with them. He had been an Alpha for so many years, and he never put his hope in something heard from someone else. It could be false information to divert attention from the real scheme. He couldn't be too certain, though. He gazed at his mate, and she flashed a smile at him. 'Why are you so beautiful?' he thought and quickly
