ASHER

Three hours. That was all Ivan had left before I took measures to rain hell down on him. It was nothing compared to what he truly deserved, but I could make do with that.

I was seated in my study when my phone chimed with a message. I slipped it out of my pocket, hurriedly, my body rippling with expectancy. Unlocking my phone, I noticed I had gotten a text from Ivan. I hurriedly tapped the banner and it opened into a wall of full blown files. I hadn't tapped any of it open before another message came in. It was a written text.

"If you want to save your woman, you should. I am currently at Reed's house and I have been able to stall Reed and Adeline from leaving the house. Get the authorities with you and come here real quick because I don't know how long I can hold them for.”

Hurriedly, I pushed back my swivel seat, tapping aggressively against my skin as I made direct contact to the local authorities. I had a few friends there so it was easier to immediately get

ASHER I was more than heartbroken, but what was one more revelation? Reed had dared to accuse my mother of such treachery. I made sure I’ll deal with the truth and him later. I tapped the “play” icon and pressed my phone speaker to my ear. “ I told you that we had to be careful, and the best thing you could do was bring your son’s wife, the fucking queen into this! My alpha is so furious, I had to skip town with my wife and my daughter because I fear for my life. We lost the girls! You told us this would be the perfect operation base, and your daughter-in-law did what? Led a tucking revolution! Our trafficking ring was pulling in hundreds of millions! What’s going to happen to all the orders we have accepted money for? The organs? The girls? You are going to pay for this. And as for your daughter-in-law, I was told she is here, right under my very roof. No, do not tell me to keep calm. You had your chance to fix things, now I’m doing shit my way.”What the fuck was this? I looked

SOPHIA. Asher had to attend to a few things and he left, not without promising to return back to me later in the day. I ate and took a nap and the next time I woke up, it was past noon. "Someone is here to see you." One of the maids announced and I gestured to her to allow whoever it was to come in. It was Lady Hannah, dressed in a beautiful bright yellow. I smiled on seeing her. She closed the door behind her. She had a bouquet of roses in her hand and she smiled at me while gently placing them on the bedside table. "I got those for you." "Thank you so much, Hannah,” I replied, and she nodded. "I'm really happy to see that you are finally recuperating. " Her eyes crinkled at the corners and she rubbed my hand softly. "You're fully recovered, yes?" "Of course, I am." "That's good. That's really good. You'll be on your feet in no time." I nodded and fiddled with my fingers before I looked up at her. "Uhm, Asher told me everything you did, Hannah

ASHER. Two days later and an assurance that my boys and Sophia were safe, I decided to pay my mother a visit. Addressing her as the woman who birthed me felt strange. Everything she had done in the past, further proved the fact that she wasn't my mother. Not at all.. The woman I knew was the one who took care of me, who pampered me and taught me basic etiquette and politeness. The other version of her, a fucking trafficker and organ harvester was a stranger to me and she had fully bloomed into that version. She had been specially locked in the dark dungeons, away from the Palace and hidden in one of the caverns in the forest. I had asked for her to be locked up there. That way, sje could feel the wrath I channeled towards her. I'd stalled going to see her for a long time, not sure I had the courage to stand before the woman I had once looked up to. The woman I called my mother. She to me and I was going to spend the rest of my life making an imprint of that

SOPHIA. The flowery scents dominated by marigolds and daffodils wafted into my nose. I was flanked by two ladies dressed in pristine yellow dresses, a huge contrast from the white wedding gown I had on. Classic music played in the background as we made our procession towards the dais at the other end of the garden. Two little girls dressed in fuchsia pink, each blond and bearing a basket of flowers, sprinkled it around with bright, crooked smiles on their faces. My heeled foot stepped into the green carpet that served as a red carpet. Ironic, I know but this was a garden and the theme was mostly in natural colors. On either side of the makeshift aisle, there were seats filled up with people. My eyes scanned the area from my veil. I caught sight of Lady Hannah. She was seated right beside Darwin who had his arm booked around hers. He smiled brightly at me and my chest swelled with pride. I froze a bit when I caught sight of Savannah seated right beside Lady Hanna

SOPHIA. "I miss the boys," I whined, leaning against Asher who had his arms wrapped around my waist. He turned to look at me, a broad grin on his face. "I miss them too. But we're on our honeymoon and there's literally no room for missing anyone right now," Lowering his body slightly, he tightened his arms around my thighs and lifted me off the ground. "It's just us and this island." Oh, yes. A week after our wedding, we'd taken a trip to one of the islands in Hayes pack. We had rented a cabin around one of the lush gardens of Taveuni and it bothered the sun-soaked coasts of the mamanuca islands. The skies were a shade of cyan blue here and the sun shone its bright yellow lights, softly scorching our skin. Thankfully, Asher had slathered a generous amount of sunscreen on my skin and had chosen to tan himself. The beach was empty, save for a few people who were tanning under the sun with large hats hovering over their heads. Asher and I sat under a

SOPHIA.Our honeymoon had been nothing but a bliss. And Asher made sure of that. We had been through a lot in the past few months, and we thought it would be a good idea to spend sometime together while the kids wrapped up their academic year at the boarding school. I'd never walked in a dress as beautiful and exotic as this dress I had on. It was in the most beautiful shade of amethyst with golden threads sewn around the hem. Rhinestones were sewn into a beeline and my waist was left bare. It was hard to give this dress a name. It was a traditional dress, one whose name I had forgotten because I'd be too excited, giving it a look while the lady explained the origin of the dress to Asher who seemed quite hooked with what she was saying. It had a plunging neckline and its back was bare, leaving me almost naked if not for the long shawl-like flap covering my belly. A set of golden waist strings were attached to one end of the dress so that when I moved, you coul

ASHER.Our honeymoon began and ended on grand style. I made sure of that. Few days later, we returned back to the palace in readiness for the triplets' birthday. We touched down at the airport about thirty minutes ago and Sophia was fast asleep in my arms. It was dark out and the ride back to the Palace took almost an hour. I lifted her in my arms, not wanting to wake her up as I carried her into the room. The boys were asleep according to one of the maids and I wasn't surprised as it was too late for them to be awake. I slipped her gently into bed, changing into a light piece of clothing and when I finally climbed into the bed, she rolled over to me, moaning softly as she slid her arm over my chest. "Hey, baby," I whispered into her ear as I ran my fingers through her lush hair. Her eyes fluttered open and she looked confused for a moment before sitting up immediately and looking around. I chuckled softly. "You were asleep the whole time and I didn't want to dis

TRIGGER WARNINGASHER. I stood by the river bank, watching as her body got attached to a bamboo shaft. The river led right into the seas on the east coast and after the required rituals had been carried out, she was pushed into the water and left to float away. I didn't wait another minute, just turned and walked back to my car. I had to fill this void somehow and going back and grieving wasn't going to do any of that. So I drove straight to the cells where Reed and the others were kept. It was located very close to the Palace. The guard who stood by the gare saw me and immediately stood to his feet, pulling the wrought iron gates open. "Where are the others?" "All in, Alpha," He replied, his voice laced with respect. "The execution is being planned as you have instructed." "Very good," I muttered under my breath before walking into the dungeons. This one was man made, built like a bunker but it was only filled with cells. It was a good thing I had inf

  • Once Rejected, Now Desired    Dearest gentle reader,

This has been an emotional roller coaster for me. This story began in January, and since then, a lot of things have happened. I’ve been sick, I’ve had countless visits to the hospital, gotten an operation, entered final year in medical school, a lot of things actually. And finally, after nine months, I get to say goodbye to the beautiful Morris family, and everyone involved in their story. It wasn’t easy, but you all stood by me. I hope you enjoyed this story as much I almost enjoyed writing it. And I hope to see you again in my next project coming in OCTOBER, and my debut billionaire romance novel. Thank you all. Xoxo, Bella Hemsworth.

  • Once Rejected, Now Desired    Epilogue

SEVEN MONTHS LATER AUTHOR The sound of the door closing had everyone up on their feet. Daniel, Darwin, Lillie who had been fidgeting on her seat, Queen Sophia, even little Emilia. The doctor blinked twice, fairly surprised by how fast they had all stood. All the set of eyes that peered at her caused her to clear her throat. She couldn’t blame them for being anxious. Princess Darla had been in the labor room for over eight hours. “How’s everything? How’s she? How’s…?” Lillie moved to the front, and the doctor smiled at her. “Everything is fine, your highness. Princess Darla has just delivered two beautiful and handsome children.” Silence hung in the air for three brief seconds. Yes. The doctor had counted. “Does this mean…?” Lillie asked with wide eyes. “Yes.” The tall lady replied. “Twins.” “Oh my God!” Lillie screamed, tears in her eyes as she watched everyone else rush into the room. They were supposed to have gone in one by one, but even the doctor knew better than to tr

Lillie’s POV *THREE WEEKS LATER* I stood outside Darla’s room, taking a deep breath before knocking softly. No response, but I knew she was in there. I could hear her crying from where I stood. Even her large twin doors had done nothing to mask the sound of her sorry. I turned mine into a ball in my throat and swallowed hard to push it down to my stomach. It couldn’t come out, not today. I reached for her door knob, opened the door and found her sitting on the edge of her bed, her face pale, her eyes swollen from crying. The black dress Darwin had gotten for her lay untouched in a rumpled mess beside her."Darla, you need to get ready," I said gently, stepping inside. "It’s time."She shook her head, her hands trembling as they gripped the sheets. "I can’t," she whispered. "If I get dressed… if I go downstairs… it means he’s really gone. That Logan is really gone, and I’ll never see him again. The love of my life, Lillie… the father of my child." Her voice cracked, her should

David’s POV Blood. All over the room. Dripping from every wound in my body. I didn’t need to see my reflection in the mirror to know I had been beaten up real good. Yet, when I saw it, a bitter chuckle forced its way out of my throat. I had managed to kill them all even in my state. The fuckers must have known they wouldn’t be able to stand a chance, hence why they had to poison me. In those last minutes of my life, the faces of my brothers flashed in my mind as I sat on my bed. My brothers, my sisters, my darling mother who had seen so much loss in her time. I never thought I’d see them again. I thought that, by the time they reached the hospital, I’d be long gone. When the rogues came, I was sure it was over. They had knives, weapons—I barely had the strength to lift my arms, but something inside me, something primal, wouldn’t let me give up. Not yet. Not before seeing my family one last time. If they could get to me, that is. There was no guarantee they had been able to make it

Darwin’s POV Heavy is the head that wears the crown, but there wasn’t a crown on my head. However, I knew I had stepped into David’s shoes the moment he was hospitalized. It suddenly made sense why he had been so stoic and protective of everyone. For the first time in a long time, I could feel what he felt. The weight of the world resting on my shoulders. My world, and that of Dark Moon at large. Even as I ripped Jace’s head from his neck, the reality of what had just happened sank deeper as I looked at him—the cousin who once laughed with us as children, now reduced to this: A lifeless head in my hands. Who would have thought I would be the one to end his life? Who would have thought that he’ll be the one to turn our lives around? To hurt my brothers, to betray the only family he could call his? His eyes, once filled with arrogance and ambition, were now vacant, staring up at the sky even in his death. But now, he would be unable to see any fucking thing. His life had ended.

Darwin: The battle was far more brutal than expected. Dead bodies lay across the ground, a mix of our own people, rogues and rebel soldiers. Daniel and I were yet to turn as we were preserving our energy to fight our common enemy. A wolf lunged at me and I caught it by its collar and snapped its next in one move. It dropped to the ground, slowly shifting back to its human form as it took its last breath. Another one came and I sank my claws into it, twisting and tearing its guts out so it lay on the floor in a disgusting pile. I only one had one intention as I made my way towards the Palace. And that was to make sure Lillie and my family members were safe. After I'd confirmed that they were, I would return here and find Jace. The hall was empty. Void of anyone, so I knew they had all been carted away to safety to the Palace's secret basement. I heard a familar sob and hurried towards the corner leading to the underground building. Lillie was crouched beside Logan w

Lillie's POV: Tonight was a wedding and the whole Palace was bright with the hustle and bustle of activities. A decorating team had been employed to decorate the area and it had gone on for about two days. Tonight, they were finishing up the rest of the decorations as guests began to arrive. I heard the Queen's voice from where I stood in Darla's room. She was yelling at the decorating team for their slow pace and we all laughed when she asked one of the ladies to get out of her sight. "It's not mother's wedding and yet, she yells like it's hers." Emilia said from where she stood, our beautiful flower girl, getting dressed by some of the maids. Darla chuckled from where she sat in front of her vanity table. "Mother can be a control freak at times. Don't tell her I said this, or she's going to serve my body to the guests." Emilia grinned in mischief and I instantly knew she was going to use emotional blackmail now that she had power over Darla. "Wh

Lillie's POV: Things were going smoothly. More than I expected. I banished the thoughts of something ruining the good time everyone was having and decided to, for once in my life, be happy that things were going the way I wanted. Queen Sofia was forced to interceed on Logan's behalf and the embargo of being a slave was taken off him. Darla made it a point of duty to remind her every waking moment of the day until the Queen decided to have rites held on Logan's behalf. And now, they were seen always having little cute moments around the palace. Logan and Darla were always found in each other's arm and I always saw the look on the Queen's face. Even after taking the banishment off Logan's head, she still wasn't in approval of their relationship. But as time went on, she became busy with other things and paid them no heed until I found her one day, smiling at Darla and Logan as they sat at the porch. Darla had her head on Logan's lap as he read her a book. It was such a

Lillie's POV: I paced from one end of the room to the other, trying to come up with words to say to my brother. Logan stood, head bowed low, at the other end of the room. I could tell he was feeling extremely bad, but not guilty. He finally stood tall, steeling his expression as he stared right at me. "What are you going to do? Judge me for following my heart? Call that a mistake also?" I honestly had nothing to say to him if I was being honest. I was just surprised that Logan and Darla were ever a thing. I wasn't angry or judgemental. I just didn't like how it had been hidden from me. Did Logan not trust me? Or hadn't I been a good enough elder sister for him to talk to? These were the thoughts that plagued my mind. I turned to him and sighed. "When did you start Dating Darla?" "We're not... dating," He replied. "Though we really like each other a lot." "So when did all these start?" He scoffed. "Do I have to tell you all the details?" "Yes. I have to know."
