HAZEL’S POV

The cold evening breeze hit my skin, flipping the pages of the book I held in my hand. In the middle of the flowers and trees, I felt at peace. This place, was indeed my sanctuary. I flipped back the pages and began to read through the book Celeste had given me.

It was a story about a bird, that wanted freedom from his family, but suffered the consequences for being rebellious. It had a very terrible end, but it was rather enjoyable.

The soft rustling of the grass caught my attention and I looked up from my book, to see Celeste walking up to me. She had a stern look on her face and I wondered what I had done this time.

“What have you done this time?”

Her question threw me off and I tilted my head to the side. “What do you mean? Did I do anything wrong?”

“I should be asking you that,” She spat, “What have you done, that made Alpha Killian send Orion, of all people to watch you.”

My heart sunk. My suspicions had been confirmed. For two days now, I would catch someone at the

HAZEL’S POVThis, was very strangeRight at the dining table, I sat, my breakfast in front of me. The table was teeming with maids, as usual, but there was something out of place. Killian wasn’t here. He was always present for breakfast, and he used this as an avenue to tease and mock me.But he wasn’t here.My heart sunk. Had I done too much yesterday? I could recall how angry he was, and it seemed plausible that he was probably still angry at me. I picked up my fork and stabbed the piece of bacon before throwing it into my mouth. As I chewed on it, I could not get a single taste. My taste buds were numb, and swallowing, felt like lumps of rocks were passing through my throat. There was this anxious feeling, sitting in my chest, making me lose focus.I occasionally glanced around, and I tapped my feet on the floor. Was he still angry at me? Was Killian going to retaliate? The thought made all the blood drain from my face, and I could not pick up my fork again. The food in front of me

KILLIAN’S POVMy whole body was filled with anger, as I marched down the hallway. Hazel’s behaviour has thrown me off the edge, and the fact that she was denying my words, sent me into a spiral of anger. There was this nagging feeling at the back of my mind that I couldn’t let go off. I knew for a fact that Hazel was plotting something. Knowing how she was, there was no way she would submit and become my slave so easily.I knew something was going on behind the scenes, and I was determined to get to the bottom of it.I marched all the way to my office and when I pushed the door open, Orion jerked back on his chair. He placed the documents he held on the table, as he turned to me slowly with wide eyes.“Did something happen this time alpha?” Orion asked, as he rose up from his chair slowly.I was pacing back and forth, my hands curled into fists at my side. My mind was racing with questions and anger was surging through my veins.“Hazel, that woman is up to something I can feel it,” I

HAZEL’S POVHis bruised knuckle. That was the first thing I noticed before he slammed the door in my face. I decided to use that as an opportunity to get into his room.I hit my knuckles on the door, hoping he would open back up for me, but there was no response. I knocked a few more times, and after getting no response again, I was ready to give up. But an idea popped up in my head.“I saw the bruise on your knuckles,” I yelled, “They looked really bad. Can I help you take care of it?”Silence hit the air and I began to rethink my decision, when I heard the doorknob begin to rattle. I watched, wide eyed as the door swing open, and Killian stood there, in his robe that was loose around his chest area.I got a peek of his broad chest, which made my heart skip a few beats. I turned my eyes to the floor and began to fiddle with my fingers.“You want to help me treat my injury?”My eyes travelled to his hands, and how bruised his knuckles were.“Yes,” I looked up at him, “I would like to

HAZEL’S POVThe moment I arose from my sleep, I couldn’t move. I just sat in bed, the events of last night filling my mind. The unspeakable act I had committed while thinking of Killian was stuck in my head, and the fact that Celeste had found out about it, made my cheeks flush a bright red.How was I going to look her in the eye today?I exhaled and trudged to the bathroom to get ready for the day. Once I was ready, I left the room and began to hear to the dining hall for breakfast. The place was packed as usual, and I was on the lookout for Celeste. It didn’t take me too long, to find her in the midst of other maids, having her plate served with food. I stood on the opposite line as her and just then, out eyes met.She gave me a knowing smirk, and I took my eyes off her. I could still feel her gave on me, but with my reddened cheeks, I couldn’t dare to look at her. Once I had been served, I took a seat, and just then, Celeste sat down right beside me.I shot up from the chair and wa

KILLIAN’S POVHazel. How could one person, be stuck on my mind like a leech. No matter how much I tried to get her off my mind, I couldn’t. It didn’t help that the only thing I was thinking about, was the last encounter we had.The way her body was so close to mine, made my whole senses go numb. She smelled like jasmine, I could never forget that. The way her cheeks flushed red, made her look like a ripe apple, but it also made her look adorable. Her rapid, breathing and the way it graced my skin made my heart race. That very night, I had touched myself to the thought of her. I had tried to get her off my mind, but the mere thought of her face alone, made my member engorged.I had to relieve myself to the thought of her, or the pleasure building up inside of me, would’ve made me run completely insane.“Alpha...Alpha Killian?”I blinked rapidly, my mind returning to the present. The first thing I saw was my desk. When did I come to my office?“Alpha Killian, over here,” Orion urged. My

HAZEL’S POVI was enraged. How could one man, make me so flustered and act so out of character? My legs buckled underneath me, as two maids passed by. They spared me a glance, before they went back to bickering to each other.I was in deep shit. The throbbing between my thighs denoted that. It made me so angry, how Killian could easily turn me on by being close to me. This time, he didn’t need to touch me. All he needed to do was stand close to me and let me feel his body heat.My got went red with embarrassment. How could this happen? How did all this start? I couldn’t believe what I had become, what my body has become.I groaned and pushed myself off the wall, storming down the hallway, all the way to my room. Once I got in, I walked over to the bedside table. I had lost focus of what I was supposed to be doing.Killian was too much of a distraction.I pulled open the drawer and retrieved the vial from it. I placed it on the table and sat down, my eyes fixed on the bottle intently.

HAZEL’S POVMy heart dropped to the bottom of my chest, at the sight of Orion. Questions began to course through my mind at an alarming speed. Why was he here? Did I do something wrong?Something hit me at that moment and I snapped my head to the maid I had been talking to. She was cowering at the sight of Orion and had already moved away from me. It then hit me that no one was supposed to be seen talking to me.What if he thought I was plotting something with her? Would she get in trouble because of me?I shot up from the floor and stood in front of Orion.“Listen, she did nothing wrong, I was the one that saw her and asked her to come to the garden with me so we could talk. She did nothing wrong,” I said, my voice shaking slightly.Orion raised an eyebrow at me and then switched his gaze to the girl who was now a whole feet away from us.“Why are you getting all jumpy? Did you perhaps do something wrong? Or did she do something wrong?”I shook my head rapidly. “Of course not.”“Then

KILLIAN’S POVI walked closely behind the men, my whole body seething with rage. I had heard them, the whispers and curses they had rained down on Hazel, and for some reason, I could not let it slide, just like that.Once we reached the chair, the men turned back to shake my hand, but my eyes were on one of them in particular. Brown shaggy hair, droopy eyes, slouched back. Even his appearance angered me.“So alpha, thank you for meeting us today, we really appreciate it, and-“I ignored the man that was speaking and turned to the man with shaggy brown hair.“You, you called Hazel a whole, didn’t you?”The air froze and so did all of them. They all shared glances at each other, while the man with shaggy hair kept his gaze on me. I could see the perspiration building up on his forehead and the way his eyes darted from side to side.“I-I didn’t refer to her as such, alph-““You whispered it,” I cut in, “Did you think I could not hear the snarky comments that you all were throwing around?

There was a hint of worry and terror in his eyes and that made me even more curious to know what had happened. I kept my eyes fixed on Orion, in order to read his body language and noticed how his body quivered slightly. My curiosity was at its peak now.And from what I could tell, it was an urgent matter.“Your alpha is asking you a question, so answer, now,” I boomed.Orion refused to meet my gaze, but he opened up his mouth to speak. No words came out of it and I saw how his lips quivered. That was when a chill ran up my spine. This was more serious than I thought. O grabbed Orion by the collar and forced him to look my way.“You better open up your mouth to speak, now!”Orion with wide eyes nodded, before I let him go.“We will need to go to your office first. I opened up my mouth to speak, but no words slipped out of them. How could they? What was I going to tell him? I tried my hardest to cook up a believable lie in my head, but nothing was coming to me.“I asked you a question Hazel, and I demand an answer,” He boomed. My anxiety was on the rise, and the tension in the air was so high, it was suffocating. There was a long streak of silence that had settled down between Killian and I, which made the

One of them wiped a bit of tears from the corner of his eyes before looking at me, like I was nothing more than a rat.“And who do you think you are, that you can come and order us around huh? Get lost slave,” He barked.I clenched my fists by my side, as I tried my hardest not to get angry. As I exhaled, I looked at each of them, dead in the eyes with a stern look on my face.“I have every right to ask you to take me out to the shops.”One of the guards raised his eyebrows and smirked. “Who died and made up Luna?”They all chuckled and I scoffed.“Why don’t you go ask Alpha Killian? He will most definitely tell you all to take me out to the shops.”They all shared a look and it was glaring that my words were not that convincing. One of them however, clapped h

KILLIAN’S POVThe monitors that hung on the wall were alive, displaying the cells, specifically the one that held Hazel’s parents. Hazel’s eyes were fixed intently on the screen and I watched, as her pupils flickered through each monitor. My eyes were fixed on her and I couldn’t take them off. Anxiety was coursing through my chest, as silence hung in the air. The silence came with a palpable tension, which was driving me to the edge.I was beginning to think that showing her how I had put our family behind bars would ruin the new friendship we had built up. The thought of that made my heart drop to the pit of my chest. My mind was swarmed with questions. What did she think? Was she happy, or was she sad? Will she be angry at me for keeping her parents in a cell? The more these questions swam around in my head, the more my guest tightened. HAZEL’S POV“Celeste please! Can you stop bugging me? It’s getting annoying!” I yelled. My hands paused, as I stopped kneading the dough in front of me. Celeste continued with her kneading while pouting her lips like a child that has just been scolded.“Why? I’m just asking you to tell me what happened with you and Killian last night. Did I ask you for too much?”I sighed and went back to kneading the dough. “You have been hounding me all day and I’m already annoyed that we’re on kitchen duty today. You pestering me is making it worse!”Celeste stopped kneading and turned to me. “Why are you being so secretive about it? If it’s not something you keep asking a secret, then tell me.”I shook my head. “I am not telling you! I’ve said this over and over again, so just leave me alone!”Silence fell on the whole kitchen and I began to feel bad for yelling at her just like that. I wish I could, but I knew how Celeste would react if I told her I shared an intimate moment with Killian. She wou

  • Once Mine, Forever Mine   Chapter 37 I WILL DO IT

HAZEL’S POVI could not phantom the feeling arising in my heart the moment I witnessed Killian stand up to me. Was it happiness because he spoke up to Gray and defended me? Or was it the thrill that came with knowing I had finally won him over to my side? These thoughts clouded my head as I walked back to my room. As I placed my hand on the doorknob, a thought occurred to me. A part of me was happy that I was making progress with Killian, but another part felt terrible because I was basically lying to him.I was only getting him to trust me, so I could use that to my advantage. The thought left a bitter taste in my mouth and I couldn’t shake the thought of my mind, but then, I vividly recalled he asked to see Celeste.I walked into my room and I couldn’t stop anxiety from coursing through my entire being. Why had he called for Celeste? Was it the words I had told him yesterday? Did it offend him so much, that he was going to take it out on her.My face went ashen as all the blood drai

KILLIAN’S POVI blinked, as I tried to clear my blurred up vision, but that did not help. The words that were in front of me, on the document I held, were beginning to become incomprehensible to me. I wiped my eyes again, and tried to focus, but it was no use.I needed sleep.Last night was an agonizing journey of tossing, turning and overthinking. The cause of my turmoil? Hazel, specifically the whole situation that happened with her recently. The words she said to me, the way she ignored me was stuck on my mind and it made me a bit annoyed. How could she be angry because I was only thinking about my pack? She was just being unreasonable.I looked down at the document again, and the words were all jumbled up. I slammed the paper down on the desk and laid my head back on the air chair. Who was a fooling? I knew what I felt truly deep within me and I could not deny it any further. The truth was, I felt terrible for what I did to Hazel and she had every right to angry at me. I felt like

HAZEL’S POV“Get your hands off me,” Celeste protested as she looked at me sternly. Her eyes that were firm did not deter or scare me and her usual intimidation was not going to work on me this time. My anger has reached the top of the bottle and was spilling over. I could not contain it in any longer.“I am sick and tired of this behaviour of yours. What? Do you think I am some kind of pushover? A dumb puppet that you can just use as pawn for whatever plan you’re concocting?”Celeste scoffed. “What? What exactly is it you want to say? You want me to include you in my plans?”“Is that not a given? Do I need to say before you know that you are supposed to? You tell me to do this, and that, but go behind my back and do a plan I have never been told about? Why? Why do you do things behind me y back? Celeste was sitting right on her bed, folding her arms and giving me a stern look.“Why do you want to know?” I said and rolled my eyes.I walked over to her wooden chair and plopped down on it. Celeste raised an eyebrow at me.“And why wouldn’t I want to know? You and Killian going on a date? That seems awfully suspicious.”I frowned. “What do you mean?”“Well, it seems suspicious that you don’t want to tell me what you both did in the park? Did you perhaps have a little date? Or maybe you’ve actually fallen for him.”I slammed my hand on the table beside me and glared at her. “Do not make stupid jokes like that. Why the hell would you assume I’ve fallen for that tyrant?”Celeste shrugged, seemingly unfazed by my outburst. “Then why the hell are hiding w
