Christopher.

Willow got me all worked up. Knowing that she knew I was watching while she touched herself made me feel naughty. I enjoyed the view and had to work on myself every time I left her window. I honestly wished things had happened differently between us. My heart has never beat for anyone the way it beat for her. She was perfect. I knew King Aaron wanted her for himself, and I felt it was low of him to ask me to give her to him as tribute. He wanted my army, my strength, and now my woman. The man had made himself the bane of my life. As I walked back towards the Packhouse, I wondered what was special about the two people fucking in the deserted section of the service quarters that made Willow ask me to join her there. Somehow, I felt she knew who the people were and wanted me to see for myself. Willow wasn't a stupid girl, nor was she spontaneous. She was angling at something. I wanted to go but could not excuse myself when Aaron was there. It would be disrespectful of me.

Willow. I returned to my bedroom after eating a hearty meal at the restaurant in town. I lay on my bed, wondering what would happen next. The fire in Christopher's eyes let me know he was still mine. I hoped he could let go when my time was up. I had one goal: to expose Aida and save his life. I planned on focussing on it with all my might. "Tomorrow, we will eavesdrop on Aida's plan in her office," Willow said. That was the first place I learned what she was really planning. I had eavesdropped on her conversation with her father's envoy. That conversation motivated me to try harder to expose her. I needed to be wise and careful this time. To avoid making my eavesdropping suspicious, I will make a Parfait for her as a peace token. I knew exactly what to say and do, and I planned on manipulating her the way she manipulated the pack members and Christorpher against me. After planning our move for the next day, I decided to sleep. I woke up in the morning and dressed nice. I missed hea

Willow. I hurried back to my room. What the king confirmed about Mark scared me because it seemed he was a bigger enemy than Aida. It was possible Aida did not poison Christopher in the past life, but after hearing what I had just heard, I could not say the same for Mark. How can an Alpha have such a Beta? It is a miracle that the Rain Pack is still standing. I sat on my bed feeling like a nosy neighbour. So far, I have hidden in three closets to do my job. I hid in my locker to catch Ingrid; in the broom closet to confirm that Mark and Aida were screwing, and now I hid in the broom's closet again to eavesdrop. I just hoped my lurking around and hiding in places won't get me in trouble because it was suspicious behaviour. I wouldn't trust me if I found out I was lurking about the place. Fate really played a huge joke on me. They gave me good hearing and vision but sent me back with selective memory and half a wolf. I was an Alpha, and now, I couldn't even pass for an Omega. I didn't

Willow. We arrived at the restaurant, and I wasn't hungry. I wanted to be away from the pack members to avoid someone watching us. Luis leaned forward on the table and smiled. "So, what is going on?" He asked, relaxed and took a deep breath. "Christopher suspects something is going on between Mark and Aida, but he trusts Mark on the matter," I said, and he raised an eyebrow. "It is important for what I am about to tell you, but first, I will need you to answer some questions," I said, and he laughed. "If I did not know better, I would say King Aaron was right about you being a spy, but since I know your motivation, I am okay with it," he said, and I beamed at him. "At the meeting you went and got poisoned. How were you served?" I asked, and he leaned back in his chair and started to think. The waitress brought us juice as we requested, and I asked for some spring rolls to eat. Finger food was best for the occasion. "We had a banquet, and we ate together. I am concerned why only

ONE MONTH LATER Christopher. I was sitting in my office going through some documents when Mark walked in. He sat on the chair and sighed. He had something to discuss with me, and I figured it must be urgent. "Speak up; I don't have all day," I told my Beta, going through the documents of our laws. I wanted to find a way out of the bind with Aida to free myself from King Aaron and his demands. "I do not know how you will take this, but it is about your fated," he said, and I stopped what I was doing to compose myself. "What is with Willow this time?" I asked him, and he sighed. "Some staff members claim she has been snooping about the place. I need you to be careful for security purposes. I know she saved you and Luis's life and is with Luis, but you must be careful. Other than what she told us about herself, we know nothing." Mark said, and I sighed. "So what is it this time?" I asked because he hadn't really said anything that would pique my interest. "We are at odds with the

Willow The commotion was much outside. News had gone around that the bears were challenging us. If it became a full-on battle, women and children would be taken to safety. Although the Medical staff were being taken to safety, I wasn't among the people they allowed to hide. I was glad because I would not have hidden if they had asked me to. Leeana, who was now my assistant, and I went to where the commotion was, and I saw Christopher trying to dialogue with the angry alpha. According to the man, Christopher had sent warriors to slaughter his people. I automatically knew it was the king's doing, but why didn't it lead to him? "Okay, take part of the land in the north as retribution," Christopher offered, and Aida exclaimed. "You have no right to give what belongs to me, Christopher. That land was given to me by my mother," she exclaimed. "We will just be giving a portion. Would you rather they attack us? I do not want bloodshed. It isn't necessary, especially over a misunderstandin

Christopher. I left Willow by the lake and returned to my office. There was a resolve in her eyes that troubled my soul. I knew she was hiding something and holding a lot in, but she wasn't talking to me. I hoped she would open up to me so I could shoulder the burden with her. Eight months was a short time. I did not know if I could honour our agreement when the time came. "Alpha, are you in the office?" I heard Luis's voice in my head just when I was about to sit down. "Yes, Luis," I said. I was very sad and confused. I honestly did not know what to do. On one hand, Aida was pregnant, so I could not just reject and divorce her. Left to me, I was willing to part with land and people just to be with Willow, but I could not be a deadbeat. On the other hand, Willow was leaving regardless. "We need to find out why she wants to go," Jet said, sounding sad. "Isn't it obvious, Jet? She does not want to break my home," I answered my wolf, and he growled. "She is perfect for us. She might

Christopher. Aida banged on my office door while I was about to sleep, so I got up to open the door for her so she won't disturb the sleep of the pack members living in the house and create a scene. I opened the door, and she was wearing red lace lingerie with a short silk robe; I cringed. Realising Mark and I had been screwing the same woman for three years made me cringe. I wouldn't have been mad if she had told me she wanted Mark. I would have divorced her and fought for her to join Mark. This was very low of both of them. Here I was, fighting the mate bond just to be faithful to her, and she was cheating on me with my Beta. I was such a fool. "I have needs, Christopher. Don't you know pregnant women have a huge appetite?" She said, trying to sound seductive, and I cringed. She did not need me to satisfy her appetite; she had Mark for that. "I can't touch you tonight, Aida and I doubt I will be touching you anytime soon," I said and left my office to go to my bedroom. I did not

Christopher. I couldn't help but stare at Willow throughout our ride to the bear kingdom. How could she have kept so much from me? Then again, thinking of it, would I have believed her? Knowing she was my fated and the fact that our bond refused to break, would I have thought she wasn't trying to get rid of Aida? I could understand her fear. Leeana had slept off, and Willow tried her best to avoid making eye contact with me. I deliberately picked the bus so the four of us would sit facing each other. I leaned forward and reached for her slender hand. She looked at me in shock, and I smiled at her. "Can't I touch your hand?" I asked her, and she looked around. She looked at Leeana, who was deep in sleep and at Luis. "I will make it right, Willow. I promise, just hang in there for me," I told her, and she looked confused. "When we return, you and I need to talk," I said and let go of her hand. I didn't want to let go of her hand. A calming peace washed through me when I touched her

WillowMy parents got married three days after we arrived at the palace. My father did not want to waste time anymore, and my mother was surprised that she was speechless by all that had happened. She did not talk much about it; I knew it was because she did not know where to start, but our actions let her know we weren't lying. My uncle Devin attended their wedding along with the two kings and All the alphas in our world. Alpha Devin remembered all that transpired because he was a general. He was happy that his sister was alive this time around. All our devotion, loyalty and respect for Selene increased because she restored all we had lost and blessed us immensely for our faithfulness and service. This was better than anything Apate would have given us had we helped the evil thing to win. We were grateful. We left the Lycan Kingdom a week later to prepare for our wedding, which would take place in the Lycan kingdom in a week. We had to return to Rain pack to finalise the divor

  • Once In The Dust   80 A reunion

Willow.Christopher made love to me sweetly. There was no urgency in his passion, and he took his time. I loved it. Not having a clock over my head was relieving, and I was grateful. When Christopher told me what Selene told him about the gift she had given us, my heart soared. She had finally come through for all of us. Learning that the traitors did not return made me feel rewarded and happy. When I heard Lucien and all the traitors had been wiped away from history. It was as if they never existed, and all I could say was thank you and hoped she heard me.I woke up naked in Christopher's arms. I was a virgin again, so I was sore between my legs, but the pleasure was worth it. Everything we did to each other was worth it, and I could not wait to do everything with him. We had dinner in the room and made love some more.We stayed all day indoors until the next day.Having breakfast with the entire pack was awkward, especially when I had to sit at the high table as their Luna and

  • Once In The Dust   79 Into My Arms

ChristopherI watched Willow advance towards Irvin, and I was afraid of what she planned to do. She had said goodbye and had blocked me out of her mind. I was tired, but I began to fight like a rabid dog. My mate was walking to her death, and there was nothing I could do about it. Please, Selene. Don't let this be it. We have given everything; please do not let this be it," I said.My vision was a blur, but I could see what Willow was doing even though tears were streaming down my face. I noticed that the men had stopped fighting us and were only trying to block us from getting to Willow. I watched King Aaron openly call after her; fear was evident in his voice, but she wasn't listening anymore. Willow went to her knees, and Irvin gave her his hand to kiss. I did not know what she was doing, but it did not seem like it was part of our plan. She touched and kissed his hand, and then I felt the surge. Willow collapsed lifelessly on the ground, and Irvin held his head, screaming

  • Once In The Dust   78 Awake

Willow I opened my eyes as if I had been in a deep sleep. My vision was blurry, and I wondered if I was being judged or had been cast back into the underworld. There was something strange about my environment. It was warm and familiar. Though blurry, there was sunlight, and there was fresh air. I could smell waffles with strawberries, just like the type my mother used to make for breakfast in our cottage in Brent woods. Tears welled up in my eyes. Thinking my soul must be wandering through the vast sea of memories. What a way to live my eternal life."Raya," I called on my wolf."Willow," she replied, and I was glad we were still together. I wanted to laugh, and I wanted to cry at the same time. Where was Christopher? Was he fine? Did he forgive my sacrifice? Did it work, and were they living a normal life? I had so many questions, but I doubted this heaven would bring me answers. "Willow, get up; we have herbs to pick this morning," I heard my mother's voice, and I blinked a f

  • Once In The Dust   77 The Death of Champions

WillowI could not believe that Lucien had betrayed us. Never in my wildest dreams would I have believed that Lucien would do this to us. He had betrayed us and killed my father. This was a lesson learned a bit too late. I felt the cord connecting me to my father break, and I knew he was no longer with us. Raya told me to focus, but how could I when my heart was broken. I was mourning my father. Tears streamed down my cheeks even though I tried to hold them. Miles fought beside me, and I wondered how his king could be so stupid. I could feel Miles' devotion; he was ready to die beside me.We slashed and cut through the attackers, a mix of the zombies and our treacherous people, and we moved swiftly. I knew Mark and Aida were no more, and I wondered who would fall next."We are all coming towards you so Irvin can come towards you. He seems to be avoiding you," Christopher said, and I did not need to guess why. Irvin was representing Apate, while I was representing Selene. He did

  • Once In The Dust   76 At War

Christopher It happened suddenly. We were asleep when Mark alerted me that we were under attack. My stomach churned because the time was upon us. The battle Willow told me about was finally here. The struggle for survival and freedom. Our kind would be extinct if we lost this battle, but her vision still showed a total wipeout. As worried as I was, there was no escaping it anymore. They were here, and they were ready. I planned to fight to survive to spend the rest of Willow's time in peace. Still, If I lost my life in the process, I was willing to take out as many people as possible for the survival of my kind. As the general of this war, it was my duty to ensure we won. Willow was awake, and I could see she knew from her eyes. Words did not need to be spoken between us. We both knew it was time. She kissed me and reached for her ultraviolet blade. Her light had a limit, and we knew it limited her strength; it would have to be her last resort because her life force was use

  • Once In The Dust   75 Move To Neeami

WillowTwo months and two weeks passed from the meeting with the alphas in Rain pack. Our training was rigorous, and I had moved to stock more provisions in the shelters so our people would have provisions if the war lasted longer than it should. The alphas that opted to converse with Irvin had nothing good to say. Some of their scouts found their location, but they were never able to return so we could trace and figure it out. Alfredo received a reply from Irvin, stating that he should join up or die. It meant we were back to the original solution that I had proffered from the onset. Our training was rigorous, and a new type of panic overcame me as time drew nearer. I was having serious issues accepting that my time was almost up. I also kept seeing our doom and the death of many people, which was not good. According to my visions, there was a complete wipeout, and I was trying to figure out how best to avoid it. Ultraviolet ammunition was prepared. It came in the form of larg

  • Once In The Dust   74 Conflicts and plans

Willow Rain pack was the way we left it. Mark and Garnett did a good job, and Luis seemed to have eased in when he returned. The people were happy to see us and confessed that no one had dared to attack them since the last attack. We had sent a strong message with that last attack, so I knew it would be unwise for Irvin to send more of his people to die. While Christopher handled the military and engineering section, I dealt with the shelter with the help of Aida. As much as I hated working with her, I had to let it be. Seeing that Apate tried to use my pain to make me cross over made me force myself to get along with Aida. She knew how to handle Luna matters, so I had to allow her to help me put the shelter together. There was a lot of awkwardness between us, but we tried to make it work. After one week, the shelters were finally in the best shape, and we asked the rest of the civilians living above ground to move there. I couldn't tell if my pack was infiltrated, but I ju

  • Once In The Dust   73 Preparations and Implementation

Willow I woke up, and the room was foggy. Everything that happened in the woods returned to me, and I was afraid. I would have turned my back on everything I was fighting for if Raya had not come through. Apate spoke my truth and voiced out my pains and fears. The offer was tempting. I would do anything to live beyond a year. To carry my children and to raise them. To grow old with Christopher and to spend more time with my father. I would do anything for it. I was paying a very steep price which was my life. I looked to my left, and Christopher was sitting on a chair looking at me. He was wearing joggers, and I looked at my body. They had clothed me in a gown. I was a bit confused because we were both down. I wondered how come he recovered faster than me. "Darling," he said to me with worry in his eyes, and I gently sat up in bed. "How long was I out?" I asked him. " A day," he said, and I touched my tummy, worried about my injections. "Dr Melvin attended to you," he sai
