Chapter 20 God Abandons Heaven and Earth

The value measured by previous experiments was the earth's magnetic field in the horizontal direction. The earth's magnetic field near the equator is the horizontal magnetic field. As one approaches the poles, the angle of the magnetic field direction increases relative to the Earth's surface. The angle at which the magnetic field changes with the Earth's surface can be measured using a compass that rotates freely in a vertical plane. The entire magnetic field in that area can be calculated from the following equation based on the entire magnetic field strength vector:

Horizontal magnetic field strength T = entire magnetic field strength T/cosine of the central angle between the magnetic field direction and the horizontal direction.

Isn't this strange?

Li did not give up on reform, and recalculated the measurement results again and again to increase the credibility of the experimental results. He even repeated the experiments under different conditions, but
