The words tumble out of my mouth before I know it. As soon as they do, I know that I said the wrong thing. Again.

I might be able to see that I did her wrong, but that’s something I do not believe in. It cannot possibly be true, because if it was, then the crime I had committed is going to have much more gravity than it did before.
