Mathias' POV.

Orice and I alighted the carriage and walked towards the gates before us.

This dumb Alpha of Dark Wood pack was making hell of a mistake with his actions.

As I walked past the gates along with Orice and my personal High guard, I couldn't help but to begin to list the punishments I would of it him through when I get my hands on him.

Zandor Darkwood had kidnapped Orice’s mate – Nadine. This meeting wasn't going to be a light one. Orice was especially on edge and it will take all the cajoling I could muster to stop him from tearing Zandor apart on sight.

Orice and Nadine had just met in the outskirts of the last pack we had just subdued. He was there overseeing the ruins and celebrating his victory with the Gammas and the warriors when they bumped into each other that night. They had instantly connect, as he told me.

They had spent days together and I was sure their mate bond had become very strong. But Orice, being a decent man, wanted to claim her only when she arrived at
