SEEING ACE WITH OLIVIA

I gave my mom a long face. "I don't want to be late to my work so I won't eat my breakfast!"

"How about we packed your breakfast so you can eat on Conan's car?" asked Conan.

"I agreed! It's not good if you skip your breakfast. I can still wait for you to finish eating!" said Steven.

I adamantly refused to eat. I'd rather starve myself than to taste any foods that Conan cooked. I don't even think they smell good either.

"Sorry Steven, but I am just fine without eating anything. I promise to eat a lot during lunch break!"

Steven stood up and said goodbye to my mother. "We should be leaving now. I promise to take care of your daughter!"

Conan put his hand on my shoulder. "If you are still upset that Alpha Ace rejected you, then I am willing to talk to him. What he did is against the Moon Goddess rules. He should know that he should accept his mate regardless of her rank!"

This time, I raised an eyebrow to Conan and spoke rudely to him because I cannot hold my temper anymore. "Could you please not try to play as a hero? First of all, it's my problem to deal with! Second, you are not my father and never will you ever be so stop acting as if you are really concerned!"

"What the hell is wrong with Sophia? Conan is a very respectable Alpha in their pack and yet you dared to disrespect him in front of me and Steven!"

"Sorry mom! I am just having a bad day. I really thought you were the first to understand my situation!" I said to her.

"Look Sophia, I know that you are against my relationship with your mother! I know for a fact that I cannot replace your father but I am just asking you to prove myself worthy to become a part of your family!"

"Again, I am not having a good mood today and I am not hungry so I want to go to my work. Also, don't even try to meddle with my issues with my fated mate. It's none of your business!"

Steven and I went to his car. I sat on the front seat and wear my seatbelt. In the middle of his driving, my stomach growled and I was really embarrassed when he looked at me.

"Would you like to eat first? I know that you wanted to eat the breakfast but you refused when you found out that your stepfather was the one who cooked it!"

"He is neither my step father nor a friend of my mom. Besides, I really don't like the smell of the foods he prepared!"

"But you can at least show him some respect. He was raising a valid point to you and I don't think that it's a bad idea if he talks to Ace!"

"I don't think they have something in common. I don't think Ace will change his mind if they talked about me!"

"There is no harm in trying. I look forward to seeing both of you in good terms and I also want to see Alpha Ace finally accepting you as his fated mate!"

I sigh. "We both want that to happen, but we know for a fact that Olivia is the one hindering me from getting Ace!"

"That Olivia has a very mysterious attitude and background. It might be difficult to dig in to her past life because she's not socializing to other packs that much!"

"I've got hunch that she manipulated Ace so he would reject me!"

"Do you think you can talk to Ace in private? I can make that happen if you wish!"

I gave Steven a rakish smile. "Thank you but this is too personal for me. I wanted to talk to Ace but I think it is not the right time for that!"

"How about Olivia? Do you want me to talk to her? I can be friends with someone like her!"

"No! I won't let you risk your good reputation just for an Omega like me! The same goes with Merry. Both of you are important in my life and I cannot afford to let something bad happen to you because of me!"

"Please don't talk like that Sophia! You should never put yourself down. Yes, you belong to the lowest pack but that does not make you any less than us. You should show to Ace that you are confident about yourself despite your rank!"

I responded with a smile at what Alpha Steven has said.

"Hold on a sec, I think we should drop by to a restaurant. I cannot let you work with an empty stomach!"

We dropped by to a fancy restaurant and he offered me to sit while he ordered. I went to the front table and I took out my phone to kill time. However, I smelled a very distinct scent of Ace and I roamed my eyes only to see him on the same restaurant—he was with Olivia and they way he looks, I know he is not happy to be with her.

It does not take too long for Olivia to see me staring at them. As expected, she looked at me in a mocking way. To my surprise, she pulled Ace towards her and kissed him on the lips. This bitch has no breeding at all!

As they say, you really can't buy class! I avoided looking at them but deep inside, I am so fucking jealous. But I know that Ace is not happy to be with her so there is still a chance that we can be together.

Few minutes later, Steven arrives with foods on his hand. I was shocked that he only ordered food for me.

"Are you not going to eat?" I asked him.

"No! I already ate my breakfast so I'm fine!"

He sat in front of me, obstructing my view of Ace and Olivia. I don't give a damn about it though!

"Do you want me to sit somewhere else so you can see him?" Alpha Steven asked.
