ASHER'S POV

I woke up the next morning feeling worn out and exhausted because apparently, I didn't get a good sleep that night.

I kept thinking about the execution which was supposed to hold that morning and for some reason, I found myself unable to shake of the feeling that something bad was going to happen. But I kept pushing the feeling behind.

Nothing would happen, Serafina would be executed that morning and everything about her would be forgotten.

While I was going through my wardrobe and searching for what to wear before stepping out to the execution ground, I heard a ruffling sound from the bed, the ruffling sound was followed my Elysia's loud yawning.

"Where are you going?" I suddenly heard her ask. "Is it time yet?"

My eyes moved to the wall clock which has been ticking incessantly all through the night, it was daybreak already, but I didn't want Elysia at the execution ground.

I turned back and walked towards her, she was still sitting on the bed.
