The dizziness still clung to him as Myles arrived at the palace. His world continued to spin slightly, the unsteady sensation making his steps wobble and nausea creep in. He quickly braced himself against a wall to keep his balance.

An Omega approached him and asked politely, "Alpha, are you all right?"

Myles closed his eyes and massaged his temples, hoping the dizziness would pass. "Yes, I'm fine," he replied with a broad grin. He looked at the Omega with an unfocused gaze, but one that radiated undeniable elation. "As a matter of fact, I've never felt better. It's been so long since I felt this alive."

Myles could never forget the terrible tragedy that had occurred some two months earlier, when Emory had killed two of his women. Since then, he hadn't dared bring anyone to the palace for fun. Worse still, Emory's often unpredictable moods made him too afraid to take the risk of seeking pleasure outside the Palace. He didn't want to provoke her anger any further.

Myles was tormented.

"So..." Myles spoke as he sat down. His tone was different. He looked alternately at Trina and Isidore, his eyes full of meaning. "I've confirmed that Emory and Jaxon are indeed having an affair. I have additional evidence to the photos I found in Emory's study. There's no doubt about it."Trina and Isidore said nothing. They exchanged tense glances, their expressions tense. It seemed that the information Myles had shared that morning wasn't a good way to start the day.Myles, on the other hand, seemed to think otherwise. There was nothing more interesting to him at the moment than Emory and Jaxon's alleged affair. That was why he had arrived at Montclair Manor so early. In fact, if he hadn't been so exhausted after three days and two nights of partying, he would have come straight over.Myles was consumed by an unbearable curiosity, eager to witness Trina and Isidore's reactions to the information he had received the day before. "I've already hired someone to spy on Emory," he contin

Trina's arrival at The Palace that morning was met with the usual warm welcome. The Omegas who happened to cross her path greeted her with respect. She smiled gracefully as she left, only to find Fernanda approaching."Good morning, Madam Trina."Trina replied with a small nod. "Good morning, Fernanda," she replied warmly, exuding authority. "What a coincidence. I was just looking for you.""For me, madam?" Fernanda asked politely for confirmation. "You don't want to see Luna?"Trina shook her head, waving her hand briefly in front of her face. "Of course not. It's Sunday, so let Luna rest. I don't want to disturb her."Fernanda nodded in understanding before asking, "Then why did you wish to see me? Is there something you need, madam?"Trina's look was more than enough to answer Fernanda's question. Realising this, Fernanda gestured for Trina to follow her to a more private place. With the door closed, Trina took a seat on the sofa while Fernanda stood, maintaining a composed demeano

Falling in love is a source of joy, and loving is even more so. But feeling longing is something else.Longing creeps in like wildflowers through the cracks of the heart. It grows without being asked and is impossible to ignore. When the shadow of a face crosses the mind, memories of being together resurface. The heart feels suffocated by a deep silence, like the melodeless melody of a song. It makes every second seem longer, every night more lonely. The longing is gentle but sharp, slipping mercilessly through the cracks of thought. It comes in the form of familiar scents, moonlight once shared, or the whisper of the wind caressing the skin with tenderness.Longing means forming new habits—checking the calendar, then the phone, hoping for a call. It's like waiting for rain in a dry season—there's no guarantee it will come, but the heart keeps hoping. In the longing there is a silence that is never really empty. There are echoes of laughter that surround the solitude, and the soft sig

Jaxon's arrival in Argentina was met with immense pressure. The wheat field fire in Portego had not only caused considerable material damage, but also sparked a crisis of confidence among investors.Doubts quickly spread and turned into a looming threat that unsettled investors. Although they hadn't suffered any direct financial loss as a result of the fire, the incident raised concerns about Jaxon's ability to manage risks of such magnitude in its planned expansion of wheat fields in Argentina.Jaxon had no choice but to face investors head on. He was determined to use every resource and strategy at his disposal to maintain their confidence.A meeting with the investors was arranged and Jaxon prepared meticulously. His determination was clear—no matter what, he had to secure their signatures. The day of the meeting arrived. Jaxon stood at the head of a large conference table, his gaze sharp and confident. Without flinching, he met the probing eyes of the investors seated across from

Now, Jaxon felt much calmer. His concerns for Emory's safety had been eased. Someone he trusted had been assigned to keep an eye on Emory around the clock—except when Emory was at the Zyranos palace.Jaxon had no doubts about the werewolves of the Zyranos Pack. The hostility that had gone on for more than twenty years, the fact that he hadn't been able to get any real information, and the inability of the Gardeno Pack to really intimidate them, were all small pieces of evidence that the Zyranos Pack was not to be underestimated.Logically, Emory's safety shouldn't have been a concern for Jaxon. Indeed, if there was a real threat, it was impossible that those around Emory wouldn't be guarding her.Ironically, Jaxon couldn't trust anyone but his own people, even the trained members of the Zyranos Pack. He knew the abilities of Orlando and Lacey, who were always with Emory. But that wasn't enough. He needed someone he knew personally to ensure Emory's well-being.Marco Alessandro Dalton

Jaxon had considered the possibility of another pack besides the Gardeno Pack feuding with the Zyranos Pack. But not a single name came to mind. The more he thought about it, the more certain he became that only one pack in the world had problems with the Zyranos Pack—the Gardeno Pack.Jaxon's thoughts changed direction. If no other pack had problems with the Zyranos Pack, then it was possible that the stalking Emory was experiencing was business-related. It made perfect sense if a business rival was spying on Emory, trying to discover her weaknesses.Unfortunately, this theory was quickly put to rest by the information Damian had provided. Marco had confirmed that the person stalking Emory was no ordinary human. The stalker was a werewolf, but not part of any pack.Jaxon remained silent. The information he had received brought no clarity. On the contrary, it raised even more questions. "A rogue," he muttered expressionlessly. "That means someone really has bad intentions towards Emor

Cordelia would never lie. Her visit to the palace and waiting for Jaxon's return from Argentina was not just to check up on him. While she wanted to make sure Jaxon was well after his hectic business trip, that was not the only reason she had come. In fact, it could be said that there was something more pressing that had made her decide to meet Jaxon as soon as possible. There was a restlessness that could not be quelled. The anxiety made it impossible for Cordelia to go through her days in peace. Her mind kept circling back to one fact: Jaxon still hadn't done anything to avenge the wheat field fire caused by the Zyranos Pack.Cordelia had tried to be patient. She had waited in silence for over two months. She thought that Jaxon must have come up with some clever plan to retaliate. After all, the fire had not only caused massive losses, it had also wounded the pride of the Gardeno Pack. The wheat fields of Portego were the pride of Gardeno AgroCorp. Jaxon had to admit that it was the hardest thing in the world to pretend in front of Cordelia. All this time he had kept nothing from Cordelia. In fact, he would bet that there wasn't a single thing about him that Cordelia didn't know. So, it was only natural that he felt like a big liar for not being completely honest with her about the reason behind his decision.Jaxon didn't need to ask; he was sure that Cordelia would be furious when she found out that he wasn't going to retaliate against the Zyranos Pack because of his feelings for Emory. It wasn't Cordelia's fault. But it wasn't Jaxon's fault either. He had never intended to fall in love with or care for his enemy. But that was exactly what had happened and he couldn't deny it, not even with his last breath.Jaxon let out a long sigh, his eyes closing dramatically as he felt a slight sense of relief. The difficult conversation was finally over. Cordelia and Braden were on their way home."Alpha."Jaxon opened his eyes at the sou

If she could be honest, Emory would probably say that Myles' arrival in her room was not the only thing that surprised her. On the contrary, even more surprising was the discovery that Myles had given her a gift. As far as she could remember, Myles had never given her anything in the three years they had been together.Ironically, those two things were nothing compared to the fact that Myles had given Emory a necklace exactly like the one that had been lost before, with no difference at all.Emory could only gape. She really didn't know what to say. In the end, she accepted the necklace without hesitation. The only reason she did so was to end her conversation with Myles as quickly as possible. But that didn't mean that Emory thought her decision was the right one. She thought it might be better to ask Myles for another gift—if he insisted on giving her one—as long as it wasn't a necklace.Emory felt really uncomfortable. She had lost count of how many times she had touched her neck i

It sounded impossible, so much so that Fernanda wanted to deny it, refused to believe it. But it was the most reasonable explanation for all the oddities—magic, just as Denise had said.Unfortunately, it wasn't so easy for Fernanda to agree with Denise. There were a few things that were unsettling, one of them being the undeniable fact that the initial relationship between werewolves and witches was anything but good. As far as she knew, the two races had been locked in eternal enmity. The history was uncertain; different stories had circulated over the years, but none of them could be trusted as the definitive cause of the feud. Each story often had variations, depending on the perspective from which it was told.Werewolves believed that witches had been the ones to start the conflict in the first place. To the witches, werewolves were wild, uncontrollable creatures—too powerful to be allowed to roam free. In short, they were seen as a threat.Tensions escalated when the werewolves d

Trina couldn't say anything more. She realised that there was nothing in this world that could go against Isidore once he had made up his mind. So, the only thing she could do was to calm herself, to keep reminding herself that war would inevitably break out, whether it came quickly or slowly. After all, she had been one of the most enthusiastic supporters of Isidore's plan. So, there was no point in being afraid now. Especially since her safety was guaranteed for the duration of the war.The ringing of a phone broke the brief silence between Trina and Isidore. It was a call from Myles.Trina immediately answered the call and activated the speakerphone. She then put the phone down on the table."Hello, Mum."Trina replied, "Hello, Myles." She then asked Myles, looking at Isidore. "So how is it? Did you give Emory the necklace?""I have, Mum. Don't worry," Myles replied happily. "I gave the necklace to Emory. Oh! Not only that, but I put it on her myself. So, there's nothing more to wo

"Has Myles contacted you yet?"It was rare that Isidore started a conversation. Most of the time he preferred to remain a listener. He would remain silent, watching every conversation that took place, absorbing all the information around him. Only when it was deemed necessary would he speak, and even then, it wasn't often. It could be said that conversations often ended without him saying a word.Silence and just listening, Isidore couldn't remember when these two habits had become his. He hadn't been like this before. There was a time when talking was one of his pleasures. He used to joke around, often saying things that he thought were light, funny or simply honest. But gradually he began to notice changes in the expressions of those around him. Their smiles faded, and the laughter he expected was replaced by an embarrassed silence. At the time, Isidore didn't understand what was happening. He thought everything was fine. There was nothing wrong with what he did or said. After all,

After months of enduring unpleasant mornings, it seemed the time had finally come for Myles to see a glimmer of hope as the sun rose on the eastern horizon. The warm sunlight felt like a promising sign to him, someone who had been mired in frustration for far too long. All his suffering would soon come to an end. Things would go back to the way they were. He would once again be respected and revered by all, especially Emory.Myles prepared himself by dressing sharply. He stood in front of the mirror with a broad grin on his face. His eyes sparkled as he admired his own handsome reflection. "Just a little while longer, Myles. Just a little while longer," he murmured, stroking his freshly shaved chin. "After that, everything will be the way it used to be."Myles' admiration of his own reflection was abruptly interrupted. His gaze, previously fixed on the mirror, shifted to a drawer.Reaching out, Myles pulled the drawer open. Inside he saw a small square box covered in black velvet wit

The more Myles thought about it, the hotter the anger burned in his chest. He couldn't hold out any longer as he realised that Emory's behaviour towards him had become more outrageous by the day. He had been humiliated again and again. His face had been smeared and his dignity trampled on mercilessly. He was no longer someone to be respected or admired. Worse, he had been looked down upon by everyone, especially Emory. The thought of it made Myles' blood boil. His hands clenched tightly, the nails almost digging into his palms. No, he was seething with emotion, this couldn't go on any longer.Myles was determined to put an end to this mess as soon as possible. More than that, he wanted to put things back the way they'd been. "Emory must know her place. She may be the Luna Queen, but that doesn't mean she can do whatever she wants with me."Myles' patience had truly run out. He would not allow this to continue. Not only because his dignity in front of the pack was at stake, but also be

The morning light gently enveloped the grounds of Zyranos Palace, revealing a delicate layer of dew still clinging to the grass. The crisp air mingled with the scent of roses, framing the morning stillness with a touch of beauty. In the distance, birds chirped harmoniously, as if heralding the start of a new day, much like countless mornings before. In the midst of this serene harmony, Fernanda stood motionless where she was. She remained fixed in front of the grand entrance, her posture upright and professional as it should be, though her mind was drifting with thoughts she couldn't share with anyone.A breeze blew past, its cool touch brushing Fernanda's face. But it wasn't enough to calm the faint restlessness growing in her chest.Fernanda couldn't shake her unease. It wasn't just her thoughts that lingered on Emory, but her gaze as well. Her sharp and alert eyes remained fixed on Emory as he walked to the car waiting for her.It was one of countless mornings that Fernanda watched

The whole process took four hours. Afterwards, Jaxon entered the consulting room.Jaxon sat down and looked at Kira as he asked, "So, how is it?"Kira opened the monitor, which displayed graphs, tables and 3D scans of Jaxon's body. She glanced at the screen briefly before speaking. "Overall, your health is excellent, Alpha," she said, pointing at one of the graphs. "Your vital organs are in excellent condition. In addition, your blood pressure is normal and your metabolism is efficient. There are no signs of damage or other illnesses."Jaxon stood still, making no reply. He simply listened to Kira's explanation with an unchanged expression, as if waiting for something more specific, something she was about to say."There are a few interesting things I need to point out, though. First, your cortisol levels, the stress hormone, are exceptionally low. This is quite unusual considering your history of insomnia and nightmares, Alpha," Kira continued, tapping the screen to display the data

Jaxon's vacant gaze drifted aimlessly out of the window. The busy city streets seemed like a meaningless backdrop. His mind wandered, fixated on Emory. How ironic, Jaxon thought. His reunion with Emory had not gone as he had hoped. Though his longing had been satisfied, his thirst for her love quenched, it was soon replaced by an overwhelming fear.Emory's safety was in jeopardy and Jaxon couldn't afford to act recklessly. He had to think carefully, analyse the situation with precision. He reminded himself not to lose focus. The thought of something terrible happening as a result of rash decisions was unbearable."Alpha, we've arrived."Damian's voice snapped Jaxon out of his thoughts. He blinked and realised that the car had stopped—though he wasn't sure when. They had arrived, but not at the palace or the office. Instead, they were at the Gardeno BioResearch Centre—one of the most iconic buildings in the heart of Gravendale. Situated in the bustling business district, the building s
