I couldn't bring myself to utter a word. I just kept my eyes on him. They were becoming glassy and I don't know why. They were not supposed to. It has been 19 years, yet hearing him call out my name the way he did stirred certain emotions within me.

"Is that really you?" he asked again, and I nodded in response, blinking away my unshed tears.
