Livia's POV:

My cheeks turned pink at his words, he knew what words managed to make my heart flutter, “it's thanks to the dress,” I said, pulling the side of my skirt. My heart was filled with happiness from the dress he gave me.

“And the shoes,” I added, not forgetting one single thing Lucius have gifted me.

“Those are what compliments you. Have you heard of how a dress only suits the person wearing it because of the person? That is how it goes. The dress looks beautiful to you because you are the one who is wearing them. I can give you my words that out of all ladies in this building, you are the one who honest the osten out of them all.”

Lucius noted how my heart picked a rice at his words, and his charming smile only broadened. Reaching out his hand, he gently asked me, “your hands, Milady?”

“It's my pleasure,” I replied with a little shyness and giddiness as I placed my hands on his.

I was about to take one step forward when Lucius wrapped his hand around my waist, his eyes curve

Livia's POV:It was lady Jade, the woman who came with Alpha Alexander and his sister to the Villa to see Alpha Xandros. The woman was dressed in a navy gown and her lips were painted in the same red color I recalled similar to the one she used when she visited the Villa. The woman came to greet me with a smile, but I wasn't slow to notice how the smile she had didn't reach her eyes.“Yes,” I said, I didn't think it was needed that I tell the lady that I wasn't a maid any longer, “My name is Livia Gallio, I hope you have a pleasant evening, lady Jade,” I greeted, at the time I also noticed four ladies standing behind lady Jade.Seems lady Jade had also been taken a liking to Lucius, with Lucius visiting several packs to attend to meetings, it is more likely that they had crossed paths maybe once or a couple times.“I do have a pleasant evening… before I saw you.” Added lady Jade to me, but her words couldn't even bring out an emotion from my face. She had come running when she heard o

Livia's POV:The ladies’ expressions twist with more anger at my words. One was about to speak but I beat them to it, “pardon me for asking, but do you ladies want to be my parents?”“What?!” Lady Jade's friend, lady Tina gasped at my words looking at me as if she had lost it.“Was I wrong?” I questioned, all this time I had spoken with a very soft tone that didn't change even after the people offended me by bringing up my parents.I wasn't angry, however, I couldn't stay silent either as the ladies had brought up my parents to the conversation, whom I treasure deeply in my heart.“Because from what I heard, everyone is very kind, wanting to teach me as a parent would. But I was about to refuse if that was the case because I don't see how much manners would improve if I am taught by people who could belittle others as soon as they greet them.”Clearly, my words upset the ladies in front of me. At this point, Lady Jade's smile had disappeared, but I didn't regret a bit of the word I ha

Livia's POV:I could feel the frown on Alexander’s face. The man wasn't pleased but I had given him the reason. If he had sent me a letter about it, confirming that he would be sending a gown only to reject it today, that would be my fault, but not now.Regardless, the man had good intentions by sending me the gown. Politely I made a light bow, “I'm sorry if this offends you, but I was very grateful for your intention. However, as I did not know you would be sending me again, I was not able to notify you about this.”Alpha Alexander noticed how he hadn't controlled his expression. He shook his head swiftly, putting a smile on his lips, “no, half of this is my fault for not asking if you have arranged a gown to wear. Were you happy when receiving the gown?”“I was, thank you again,” I answered. Alexander seemed to be a kind person at first, I thought to myself. But I can't help but to feel cautious with the man as he had sent me the gown as if knowing if I would be coming to the Ball w

Whether it is love, house, or even anyone's head whi had disrespected her,” saying this his eyes trailed to both Eleanor and Jade who didn't stand far away from each other.Lady Jade thought Lucius wouldn't know what happened at the beginning of the Ball, but with his sharp initiation, it wasn't hard to tell that it happened, especially when he saw the exchange of gaze Jade had when looked at me that had more contempt. With a clear voice, he spoke slowly, “the reason why I announce this to you all is to make everyone understand that I expect them to show respect to my MATE. And if there's anyone who disrespects her or carelessly lets a remark from their mouth, you would be warranting death.”The air turned stifling and Lady Stella was the first to m

Livia's POV:The discord between Lucius and Garfon was clear, and I felt the tension for the first time. It was apparent that this wasn't the first time Garfon had provoked Lucius as I saw anger switched over Garfon's face and when my eyes moved to the corner, my eyes met Alpha Alexander by a small second.Even when I had removed my gaze from him, I could still sense his stare still lingered on me and I felt uncomfortable as now I could feel the deeper meaning behind Alexander's gaze.“What wrong dear?” Lucius ignored Garfon and switched his stare towards me, “do you feel stuffy and don't like to be here any longer?” I blinked at his question, I wanted to say no as I wasn't feeling stuffy like he said, but I could tell he had stated the question aloud for a reason.Lady Rachel giggled softly, breaking the tense air between her mate and the Alpha of crescent Pack, “I heard this is the first social event for lady Livia. First event is always the most burdensome and tiresome, I would su

Livia had been an apple to Lucius' eyes, but now seeing how she had become stronger with each passing day, a feeling of proudness sprouted inside his heart and a smile of satisfaction came on his face. The pride he felt wasn't because Livia could kill people now as she had steeled her heart and brace for it, but it was her unchanging kind heart that made her more attractive to Lucius. Although Livia decided to kill people freely now, her reason was pure– It was to protect the people she loves.Despite his influence which could be seen as bad and cruel, her pure heart remained the same instead it became stronger which was very like her though she tried hard to deny that.Livia's POV:“I love that look on you,” Lucius said, pulling my waist closer and his eyes flickered with a stroke of craving for more warmth which I know.I felt ticklish when his breath brushed my neck like a feather, “what look?”“Your selfish and determined look,” Lucius chuckled lowly, his silvery voice brought tre

Livia's POV:His manhood had become harder than before and I could feel the veins pulsating on my hand as if it was a different separate organ from Lucius himself that was alive. I opened my lips after peppering a couple of kisses, trying to see if it would fit. But on second thought it didn't seem very right for me to put his manhood without any preparation. After a brief thought, I tried a different approach. I parted my lips, but this time my red tongue peeked out slowly, licking the top of its head before moving to the side of the shaft.I didn't know whether I had done it in a correct way, but then I heard an approving hum from Lucius, “move your hand at the same time,” he directed me.Lucius didn't hold back with what he wanted which made it easier for me to learn what could please him.I moved my hand, and moved my tongue at the same time, trying to find which place would make Lucius feel better.Suddenly, I didn't know what came over me but watching his manhood, I wondered if

A sudden thought passed through my mind, a petty one if I had to be honest, “better than others?”“Others?” Lucius chuckled at my question, his nose faintly traveling from under my chin to my neck, “jealous are you, my love?” “I am inexperienced,” I answered, feeling my back curled when his hand squeezed my bottom.Lucius looked at me with a smile as if telling how silly I was, and I knew I was behaving silly, but the thought passed abruptly in my mind.“Not everyone has to be experienced to be good. Livia's POV: Pregnancy was not easy. That I realized as my stomach grew and I became more and more worried. I worried about all the things that could go wrong during childbirth. I did not want to die, I wanted to be there for my child. Besides the worry and fear, there were my moodswings. I had to say that Lucius was very patient with me and I felt bad for him sometimes. I even felt bad for Ylva and Lydia who had to endure my outbursts. Adrian followed me everywhere as Lucius made him my personal guard and once in a while I would yell at him as well. Sometimes because I just wanted to and sometimes for no reason at all. Well, that's what happens when you don't get enough sleep because your stomach is in the way, when you constantly feel hungry and when everything feels uncomfortable. “Lydia, Ylva I do want you to work for me anymore. Bring someone that I won't feel bad yelling at. Like that maid Jessica or anyone I don't like.” I said feeling really bad for my moodswings. “No My

I groaned, not wanting to think of anything else but laying in bed with my mate. “I don't want to leave.” I admitted, reaching for her under the sheets. She was still naked. Good Lord. I wanted to touch her all over again as I remembered her bare body. I always thought she looked beautiful but now she was exquisite. She was fuller, more radiant and alive. She was ravishing. “Not again, Lucius.” She beamed at me. I was touching her under the sheets, enjoying the feel of her. “Why not?” “Because I need to be able to walk.” “Oh, but I would rather have you in bed all day.” I joked. Although it was partly true. “You never get enough, do you?” she shook her head at me. If only she knew. I thought. Livia sat up on the bed and then swung her legs down. “Oh God! She groaned, startled. “What?” “Nothin

Livia's POV: Lucius stiffened and the room went quiet. I could hear my own heart race and it felt like forever before he said, “what did you say?” “I said you will become a father soon,” I told him a bit louder and with more confidence. Slowly, Lucius took a few steps back and then turned away. Oh, God! He was not happy. Hopping down from the table I went to him. I put my hand lightly on his shoulder. “I understand if you are not happy.” Never having a relationship with his parents and what he went through growing up, could explain his reaction. “Happy?” He turned to me carefully and grabbed my arms. “I am not happy Livia. I am lucky. You make me the luckiest man on earth even if I don't deserve it.” I could see a mix of emotions in his eyes. Happiness, sadness and worry. “You deserve every bit of it,” I assured. “And you would be an amazing father.” His hands slid up to my face, holding it gently. “Livia, you are a blessing in my cursed existence.” I didn't know whether to

Livia's POV: When I woke up I'm the morning Lucius was already gone. I scolded myself for not telling him I was pregnant. I knew I was worrying for nothing and that the news would probably make him very happy. After getting dressed I decided to look for him immediately. I went straight to Lucius' office, there I saw him engrossed in the papers in his hands. I cleared my throat to capture his attention. Lucius put the papers down on the table and stood up before looking at me. “Did you already miss me, wife?” He smiled. “Am I disturbing you?” I asked walking over to him. “No, bit you are distracting me much.” He said letting his gaze rake my body. I did nothing to prepare myself so that he found me distracting despite everything, made me confident. Lucius tilted his head to one side and studied me even more closely. “Did you gain some weight?” He asked and my confidence went out the window. “I am not sure,” I mumbled. “You look…” his eyes darkened. I knew that gaze and it brou

Livia's POV: I am pregnant, I am pregnant, I am pregnant. I kept chanting those words to myself everyday. I could still not believe it. How do I tell Lucius? It haven't even been up to two weeks since the incidence that claimed his life, would he be happy to have a child in this mess? He had never said anything about wanting to have a child ever which made me a bit concerned. Somehow I felt that he wouldn't be thrilled. I tried to imagine his reaction in my head several times but I couldn't figure out what his expression would be like. “Ylva… I am pregnant,” I told her as she prepared me for the night. Ylva stared at me through the mirror. Her eyes twinkled with both surprise and happiness. “My Lady…!” She exclaimed after she opened her mouth several times but was not able to say anything. “Can… I hug you… once?” I blinked a few times in surprise. I and Ylva had been very close, closer than with Lydia it she had never asked for a hug before. The only time she hugged me was when

Livia’s POV: I felt as though a storm had struck me. My whole emotions was in a mess. The heartbeat that I heard against my ears were crisp and loud. The urge to press my ears deeper to his chest grew in me, wanting to make sure I wasn't wrong and my ears hadn't lied to me. I didn't want this to be a dream or the sweet illusion that had been repeating in my subconsciousness. When his voice slipped to my ears in the most sweetest way, once again a wave of emotions washed my entire heart. My tears filled the rim of my eyes and tears slowly dribbled uncontrollably from my eyes. I slowly lifted my chin up, looking around to feel his hand around me before my emerald eyes finally met with Lucius' deep red ones. “I'm sorry, did I make you wait for long?” He asked as though he hadn't died, as though I hadn't killed him and as though it has only been an hour of our separation, when it had been more than 12 hours. 12 hours might be a mere few hours to others, but not to me who bore the guil

Livia's POV: My emerald eyes turned wider, glint of red appeared on my eyes that the serpent didn't miss. Reaching out my hand, I tried to manifest Elise when the serpent began to shake its body, causing large ripples and waves to tower over me. I looked at the upcoming waves as it was about to devour me hungrily. The waves spread wide like a mountain, wanting to eat me alive. My eyes flared brighter with hint of redness as I raised my hand out of impulse and was surprisingly able to create a barrier wide enough to cover the boat from being consumed by the waves. While I was surprised that I still haven't discovered all what I could do with my abilities, I wanted to breathe out in relief, I realized it wasn't the end as the serpent had quickly arrived behind me, rushing towards me. I clicked my tongue, pushing myself on the other end of the boat and ducked down as the serpent was about to take a taste bite on me. During the fight, the creature didn't help me. Instead he continued t

Livia's POV: A single boat coasted towards the shore, at the side where I stood. On the end of the boat was a creature who was cloaked in black. Its body was shorter than mine as his back was hunched forward. From underneath his cloak, his black bones hands held the wooden paddle on his hand. Though his eyes was covered, I could feel it moving towards me as if he knew I needed to cross this deadly river. “You… are coming to the boat?” The hoarse voice of the creature was shrilling and there was a delay in his first words as if his tongue was having a difficulty on speaking quickly. I nodded my head before putting my feet on the surface of the boat. As I went onboard, the creature looked at me. No words exchanged, but I could see his displeasure, “Soul… give me.” “I won't be fully crossing the sea to the abyss,” I answered, “And only crossing the sea to the abyss would I need to pay, don't I?” The creature huffed to show his annoyance but he didn't reply as I was correct. I felt empty as a part of me now became lost, Elise, my wolf had been quiet and hadn't let out a sound since the minute Lucius gave out his last breath. I had prevented Adrain from coming along in order for me to gain full concentration. I was certain that no matter how narrow my chances were of seeing Lucius again, it would be enough for me to bring him back to life. I went deep into the forest till I hit to the spot where the old oak tree was planted. I couldn't remember the last time since I came to this part of the forest. The oak tree which stood in front of me now which I had named ‘grandma’ was my solace and healing place when I had no one, but Lucius came along and he became more than just a safe haven for me, he became my paradise and I planned spending every moment of my life in his embr
