The fear had settled within her. Deep within her mind. Coursing through her veins. And it was all instinctive. It wasn't in her control. Even if she tried to encourage herself that she could fight him but when his eyes would flash infront her eyes, it would break her morale.

She didn't know what was happening with her. She had never experienced such a situation before.

She was terrified of him. Just like now. She was in a dilemma. She wanted to defy him by not going to the office so she could make the message clear that she wasn't afraid of him at all. But her mind would again fill with his warnings. Just a look at her now blue and black finger was reminding her, he wasn't an ordinary man.

She always noticed how intense his gaze would become while he would stare her. That night, she just had opened her eyes once in a while but whenever she did, she would find his dark and quiet orbs staring at her making her heart accelerate. The darkness his eyes held was one of the reasons she did

Half an hour elapsed as now she sat in her new office allotted to her. It was spacious and vast than her previous office. Had an exceptional ventilating system and it felt cozy. Through the large window you could have the view of almost the whole city. A large sofa was on the left. And the table was also huge and well organized. It was much better than her previous one but she wasn't happy. She felt aloof of all the things. Her heart felt down and empty. All in all she was depressed and anxious. The only thing that she wanted the most out of all was somehow get out of Shehryaar's clasps. She couldn't talk back to him, she couldn't resist to his touches because it was engraved within her mind that what he could do if things don't go in his way. He would go to every length in order to assure of what leaving his lips comes the truth. She vividly remember, that night she had denied to him alot of times but every time he drove that resistance out of her and by the end of night, it beca

Sitting in his office, his eyes were analysing a document sent by one of his colleagues. Narrowing as he focused his grey eyes on a specific piece of information when his thick lashes moved down and his attention was driven to a call as he picked it up and raised his cell phone to his ear. It was a black-berry. Specified for his urgent calls or any high-profile detail related to under-world. "Ali Ahmed-194 reporting from cc dept," "Say," he asked. "The FBI is after you sir," "Confirm?" "Yes sir. In order to locate the spy they already sent to you who had gone missing," "Male, female? "No info known regarding that. They want to dug in the information of your other businesses that you do under the name of this company," "Fine. Who is the head of this mission?" "It was the minister that was killed by Shigri. The agency now assigned this task to person unknown," "Hence this mission has been going on since a while," his brows rose with a little smirk on his lips. "Yes sir. And

Her imploring eyes looked at him and the callousness in them haunted her, making her want to act upon as he say. Slowly, her shivering lips moved and she slightly opened them. "Pull out your tongue," A few moments passed but she didn't, unable to guess what was going on in his mind when a metallic sound rose in the silent atmosphere and her eyes fell on the gun he had placed just placed on the table. Slowly, she pulled out her tongue out of her lips and as soon as she did that, the very instant, he held her tongue between his fingers and placed the burning end of smoke on her tongue. A scream erupted from her throat when he changed the position and placed the cigar on another area of her tongue. She felt her tongue burning and the ashy taste of cigaratte on her tongue. Tears flow down her eyes followed by sobs. He was burning her tongue. She couldn't even ask him to stop nor pull back because that would strech her tongue. The intensity of hotness she felt on her tongue was u

She had been so nervous while sitting next to him that whatever he was explaining her went out of her mind. And now she sat infront the laptop screen, not able to understand what to do. The work he had given her was non theoretical and a bit technical. You needed to understand first in order to carry out what you would be doing. On and on her hands would fix her hair, then she would move her fingers on her forehead trying to recall what he had been saying. But the only picture that came in her mind was his grey eyes. Out of fear, she wasn't even looking up. Almost fifteen minutes have passed and she had done nothing. She was constantly tapping her foot against the floor and rubbing her hands together out of impatience and nervousness. She felt like sitting in some exam hall and the deadly invigilator was sitting just infront and all the while she just had to act that she knows what she has been doing. Just like now. All the while Sheharzaad had been passing him an impression that

Her small snores were the only sound that could be heard in the dark and quiet lounge. She was drifted in her wonderland as her sleeping form wasn't aware of two empty and soulless pits staring at her. Deadly and expressionless. Empty and blank. No emotions swirling in them. Rather the most primitive and sacred emotion of love had died within the owner of those eyes years ago and all that was left were two void and deep orbs. Deeper than the deepest sea. Darker than the darkest night. But they were focused on her angelic face as if he was a moth and she, the fire. A weird tranquillity appeared in those eyes for a second on seeing her laying there and it was gone as soon as it came. The sudden swirl of emotions got locked as the coldness masked the eyes again. Placing the glass of beer that he had on the table, he stood up and moved further towards her. Kneeling down, his face came parallel to hers as now his eyes could have a complete view of her. Hannan had came to the office and she met him. She was shook to the core on seeing him injured and beaten. Upon asking, he told her a group of goons has beaten him. She figured it out whose craft it was. One and only, Shehryaar, only because Hanna tried to be close to Sheharzaad. He told her he was still in the search of a customer for her house. Within a few days, most probably, he would find one and get it sold. She had a breath of relief atlast. Things were going as she wanted. ... "I know who you are," Sheharzaad told the girl. The evening sky has sprawled. The blue hue was everywhere as the bird chirped, returning back to their respective abodes. There sat Sheharzaad on the sofa of the study reading the same page again, trying to regain her focus. Yet her eyes would move in between the page of the book that read, 'Karachi. The city of lights. Rather previously known as the city of lights....'The book was titled, 'Zaryaab' after the name of the male lead of that book. Sheharzaad's grey eyes again fixed on the sky, witnessing the birds. As the sun reached the horizon, the sky was a mix of orange and blue. Her mind was wondering to Shehryaar. Where was he? Should she apologize? Or should she wait for him?She found herself guilty in this situation. She should have broke it on the very first place to Maaz that she was married instead of going for that lunch. The wiltering flowers at his beloved's grave stood out as an evidence of the abandonment by her own family. Haider sat near the grave. As tears slowly cascaded down his eyes."You've endured enough. I wish... for once you'd have expressed your love for me. For once. Then my whole life wouldn't be so bleak. The reciprocation for which I waited finally came after decades," he played with the mud of the grave, "For once, you could have told me... what Agha did. What my father did. I wish... after your demise even for once you'd have come in my dreams and apprised me how you were brutally killed," Another tear dropped from his eye and landed on her grave, "I read... what you wrote in those pages. Tears were slipping down their eyes. The whole study has turned upside down. The glass table, smashed and broken. Books from the bookshelf were torned and rested on the floor. The glass pieces of vase were scattered. The place depicted of an utter apocalypse. And among all these broken and torned things, there lied a safe in the middle of the room. Bullets pierced through it and was now tattered and battered. Sat there on the sofa were three siblings, with nothing but tearful eyes. And a piece of paper in their hands. Written to them in her last moment by their mother. The letter which reached them after twenty five long years. Each word pierced through their soul. Every breath they took was heavy, filled with sighs and unattained wishes. The unattained wish to meet their mother one last time.Shehryaar's hand shivered as he still held the old worn out letter.
