At the hospital, Joey and Zachary changed into protective clothing before entering the intensive care unit.

Christopher looked very weak. He stared at Joey for a moment before closing his eyes in contentment.

"Grandpa is happy just to see you," Hanson said to Joey, who nodded.

They left after staying in the ICU for a while.

"Do you want to visit Mom?" Hanson asked again in eagerness.

Joey's expression was indifferent. "Sure. Let's go."

Knowing that she still treated her parents like strangers, Hanson's face was full of disappointment.

In Emily's room, Vaughn quickly handed Joey a packet of snacks and sat beside her. He then talked about Emily's condition.

"She's fine. She just needs to stay in the hospital for another two weeks."

"Have you had breakfast?" Joey asked.

"I tried eating, but I just couldn't eat much," Emily replied pitifully, trying to elicit sympathy from Joey.
