Chapter 5

   Jake stopped the car immediately, he stared at Melissa with a weird smile on his face. His eyes looked amused but not buying what Melissa was saying.

   "You are impossible!" He said, "Do You want me dead??" He yelled.

  Melissa flinched, she blinked and shook her head "Why would I?" She intoned.

  She glared at Jake's face for a while before she nodded her head, her mouth made an 'Oh!' Sign and began to chew inside of her mouth.

   "No one has to know that you work for. Me!" She cringed at the last words "It's strange! Don't you get it?"

  Jake stared at the car, his face looked boring as he entered the school and parked it in the garage. He made sure to park in the middle of the school where everyone stopped to look at the pink Lamborghini.

  The college girls were already pushing themselves to be at the front of each other. All of them want to be first for the New boy as they assume.

   From inside the car, Melissa could even see Karen adjusting her cleavage, she quickly run her fingers through her hair and stood like a model, smiling with her squad behind her. At the far corner, Sam and Leah stood talking to each other, as usual, something kept going into Leah's already full mouth.

   "College girls can be so dramatic" Jake scoffed, he removed his seat belt and turned back to Melissa "Trust me, I won't have to yell to everyone that you are my boss" he winked an eye and opened the door "Don't move, let me check for a good place to run into" with a boyish grin, he climbed out the car.

   Melissa smiled, at least he was trying to help her get away from the crowds before she could get down from the car. Her attention was fixed on her friends where they remain at the corner doing something else. Although Sam was trying to see what was going on while Leah stood absent-minded chewing whatever she had that looked like chips.

   She gasped aloud she Jake appeared in front of her and opened the door wide for her. Her face was kind of shy and she was about to ask why he would open the door for her until he moved to the side, put both hands behind him, and kept his head low.

   "Now you just make me look like a bad person," Melissa said through clenched teeth, her cheeks were turning red in embarrassment as she pulled her dress down "Please stop the act" she whispered to Jake "I think I will die!" She added.

   With a slight nod, Jake went to the boot of the car and brought out a fancy black handbag that contain some of her books. He moved his hands away from her as she attempted to collect the bag.

   "They are watching" Melissa cringed.

  She turned slowly to see everyone staring at her in shock, it was clearly written all over their face that they didn't expect to see her. Some were filming, some just glaring, some screaming while some stood still thinking it might just look too good to be true. Those last set of people were Sam, Leah, and Karen.

   Melissa stood still with Jake beside her watching her friends stare at her like a stranger. She didn't know if she should wave or rush to them, the feeling of guilt consumed her as she wonder what might be going on in their minds.

   She has not called them for long and she knows they might have called her but to no avail. She hugged herself and shook visibly, she tried to rush back into the car but stumbled upon Jake.

  She hugged him tightly and was shocked, her head was facing this chest as she hid her face and let him calm her by rubbing his palm on her hair.

   "I am scared" She hugged him tighter and began to shake "Please let's go ba-"

   "Mel!!" She heard someone scream "Melissa!!!"

   Melissa moved out of Jake's grip to see Leah running towards her. Her hands went over her head as she waved, jumping on her boot heels. She began to cry and call out for her friend.

  "Leah!" Melissa rushed to her as they embraced themselves "Leah! Oh my God I am so sorry"

   Melissa sniffed on Leah's shoulder as they remained still, it almost seem like the hug was not going to end until Sam cleared her throat loudly. With a weird smile on her red face, she walked to Sam and threw her hands over her neck.

   "I thought you left for Spain already until we meet Williams yesterday" Sam moved back, her eyes roam around Melissa's body and she grinned "You want to make him change his mind about letting you stay here till you finish college?" She twisted her lips.

  Melissa looked at her dress and blushed, her hands went into her hair and she looked at Jake who had a weird grin on his face. She hugged Leah and Sam together and smiled broadly. Her eyes caught glimpse of the students walking close and she panicked, she held Sam's arm and moved back.

    "Don't tell me you are scared of them!" Sam twisted her lip in disgust "Have you grown soft?" Angrily she turned to the students and yelled on top of her voice "ALRIGHT! NOTHING TO SEE HERE!!!" she cleared her throat and turned back to Melissa with a cute smile on her face "Better?" She asked.

   Melissa giggled, she placed her palm on her chest and began to laugh.

   "You haven't changed Sam," she said, she was about to walk away with her friends before Jake cleared his throat "Oh! My bag" she took her bag from him and turned to meet the surprised faces of her friends "WHAT!?"

  Leah smirked, she walked close to Jake and looked at him from head to toe. Surprisingly, she had another pack of chips in her left hand, her phone in her armpit, her bag resting on her shoulder and she licked her right-hand fingers that had nothing but chips particles.

   "You think getting her here in a Pink Lamborghini will make her like you, Jake?" She Intoned, her gaze narrowed fiercely as Jake remain silent "Melissa doesn't have time for technical jerks like you unless you want Williams to cut your precious black dick off"

   Jake rolled his eyes dramatically, his hands were behind him as he stood still watching from Melissa's face to her angry-looking friends. They look so cute but overprotective as they pulled her behind themselves.

    "Fine" He scoffed "I am Melissa's chauffeur" his gaze settled on Melissa's angry face "She is literally my Boss" Je smirked at Melissa.
