Carrie

I quickly walked down the hallway, my mind still preoccupied with the recent event. The knowledge of the baby was a closely guarded secret within our group, and now that Alexei had found out, anxiety gripped me. I knew that this secret would eventually come to light, but I had done my best to keep it hidden for as long as possible.

What if he revealed my truth? What if he exploited this weakness against me? Against all of us?

I would never forgive myself for causing more pain and suffering to my pack because of this secret.

What should I do?

But there was a persistent thought in my mind that believed Alexei wasn't entirely evil. After all, he hadn't physically harmed me, and he had even allowed me to escape earlier when he caught me touching his precious medicine. If he genuinely intended to harm me, he should have done so while I was in his room, right? He should have killed me the moment he saw my interest in it. He wasn't foolish; he understood what I was planning, yet h

Carrie The morning sun painted the sky with gentle hues of pink and gold as I continued with my daily chores in the Blackmoon Pack House. It was a routine I had grown accustomed to since our pack was attacked, but today was strangely different. There was an unusual energy in the air, and it wasn't long before I noticed something out of the ordinary. I paused in my task, my broom hovering mid-sweep. "Anya, did you hear that?" Anya, who had been washing dishes, furrowed her brow and glanced toward the window. "Hear what?" I listened intently for a moment, then shrugged. "Maybe it's just my imagination." But the distant murmur of voices persisted, growing louder with each passing second. Anya and I exchanged puzzled glances before abandoning our duties and making our way to check where the murmurs were coming from. Our eyes widened in surprise as we witnessed a sight that was anything but ordinary. The rogues, known for their late-night drinking, had gathered in the pack grounds, an

  • Obey Me: The Alpha's Little Mate   Chapter 98

Carrie I woke up in a place that was more miserable than ever. The hope of being liberated from the rogues’ grasp seemed to have become more impossible with each passing second. Seth made everything worse. The people of Blackmoon worked even harder, and the former male warriors did almost everything on the rogues’ behalf, fearing for their lives. One mistake led to violence, and we couldn't afford even the slightest error. Not only we were forced into hard labor, but we were also forced to settle on a tiny food ration. Most of us were dehydrated and undernourished yet we continued to work triple time to satisfy the rogues' outrageous appetites and demands. Perhaps, this is what Sheol looks like. I no longer served as Alexei's personal maid and was back with the rest of the group. Things were tougher than ever, as the new rogue leadership proved to be more tyrannical than the previous one. When night fell, our fear of the rogues grew stronger because they continued to trouble us. Wi

Carrie But Jake, consumed by rage, saw only a rogue in front of him and launched an attack on Kriev. Anya shoved Kriev aside to dodge the attack, and Jake's anger was palpable. "Why are you saving this filthy rogue?! Aren't you here to avenge your sister?!" Jake seethed. Anya explained the complicated truth to them. "Because fate led me to have a mate from the enemy’s side. Yes, Kriev is the mate that the moon goddess has given me!" But this seemed unimportant to our people. Confusion and anger swirled among the warriors. They surrounded Kriev, their eyes yellow and fangs bared at the sides of their mouths. Anya shielded Kriev, her voice shaking with emotion. "You’re wrong about him. Like us, he despises Seth too, and he loved Yeleina in the short time he knew her. I'm his mate! He won't do anything to hurt me or my sister! He will not harm us." “Are you kidding me?” Jake exclaimed. “He is a rogue! He is one of them!” Kriev spoke calmly, attempting to reason with everyone. "Yes,

Carrie I stood alone in the quiet of the night, the moon above casting its pale light upon the forest around me. Anya was still crying nonstop inside our quarter and I gave her the space she desperately needed. As I looked up at that distant orb, my thoughts began to drift. In the silence, I couldn't help but wonder. What if Seth didn’t discover Alexei’s condition? Would Yeleina still be alive? Would the rogue finally leave the pack as Alexei had promised? Could we have found a way to break free from the chains of our captivity? Is life better than any of these? I bit my inner cheek realizing I was to blame for all of these. If only I had been careful, none of these would have happened. It’s all my freaking fault. The mere thought of it made my voice tremble and a painful knot formed in my chest. My mind continued to churn with uncertainty. As I grappled with these "what ifs," a sense of helplessness settled over me. With that, a plan formed in my mind. I felt a growing unease

Carrie I've been closely monitoring the rogues, with my focus primarily on Seth. Time is no longer on our side, as Alexei's execution is scheduled for tomorrow night. I need to act swiftly! The new leader had taken over Alexei's former quarters, the very place where Seth might have stored Alexei’s medicine we so desperately needed. I meticulously observed their every move, hoping for an opportunity to gain access to that room. My thoughts remained fixated on that room, and I made several attempts to infiltrate it under various pretexts—cleaning, delivering dishes, and even mopping the hallway. However, Daruk, the guardian of that room, strictly prohibited anyone from entering, aside from himself. It had become a forbidden zone, and no one dared to breach its boundaries. Seth had made it abundantly clear that only he and his trusted right-hand man were allowed access. Anyone who thinks otherwise would face death. One day, I tried to sneak in by pretending to deliver a meal to Seth,

Carrie The rogues gathered, as usual, to have a feast using the funds for our pack which was slowly depleting. But this time, the sight was harder to bear because one of our people was sitting with them. In the blink of an eye, Anya’s life turned upside down. The life she knew as an omega became the life of a rogue Luna. Beside her were a few omegas forced to stomach being with those murderers in return for a kinder environment. The maids served uncomfortably. This kind of sight dispelled the hope left in our souls. I couldn't stand the sight of Anya getting along with these terrible people, the ones who had murdered Yeleina and Kriev, yet she didn’t bat an eye. I tried to control my emotions, but Anya's betrayal pierced my heart and shattered it into a million tiny pieces. I tried to ignore her as much as I could until she called my attention. "You, woman! Hand me a glass of water," she demanded. I couldn't contain my frustration anymore. I threw the dirty plate I was holding. The

Carrie "Behold, our mighty leader!" From where I was standing, I saw Daruk escorting Alexei. His eyes were black, with his nose crooked to the side. Some parts of his face had turned purple, and his face had swelled red. I bit my lower lip upon seeing him. From his deformed face, I could already conclude that he had received a heavy beating the night before. Poor guy! Daruk dragged Alexei in front of Seth. Alexei looked very weak and couldn't even stand on his own. The injuries and not eating properly, along with the sharp pain in his chest, made him look pitiful. Even an average rogue looked better than him. "Look at you, BOSS. You look awful!" Seth taunted before bursting into a crisp laugh. Clearly, he relished the sight of Alexei's pain. He despised Alexei deep in his heart, finding satisfaction in seeing him in such a situation. Thanks to his constant nagging, we were informed of how he felt, believing that Alexei had taken everything from him and led the people he believed he

Carrie I couldn't believe what had just happened. Everything took an unexpected turn, one that no one had predicted, not even Seth, the rogues, or the Blackmoon pack. I watched Seth trembling in fear. His face was drained of color, his wide eyes and shallow breaths reflecting his shock. And there was Alexei, standing tall and strong in his formidable form, no longer suffering from any hint of pain that Seth took advantage of. It was impossible, I know. Yet everything is true and happening in front of my eyes. "How? Impossible… How did you—" Seth was lost in a sea of thoughts and disbelief, unable to find an answer to Alexei's sudden transformation. Alexei couldn't help but smirk as he approached Seth, and the crowd of rogues dared not challenge him. It was as if the king of the jungle was walking among his subjects, and everyone recognized his dominance, knowing they were powerless against him. The rogues cleared a path for him; their fear was palpable, and they retreated without

Jesse I was preparing everything for Liam. The time had come for him to return to Blackmoon after spending some time with me in Silverfang. As I gathered his things, a touch of melancholy washed over me. Our time together had been an incredible experience, and now it was coming to an end. "Make sure you don't forget anything," I reminded him. Liam nodded, a bright smile on his face. It had been two years since our battle with Corey, and we had all returned to our peaceful lives. My life had transformed into a colorful and joyous one since Liam had entered it. Carrie had finally agreed to let me be part of their lives as a co-parent with Liam. I had been making up for lost time and bonding with my son, and even the Silverfang pack celebrated his arrival the first time he set foot here. Jerick, although he hadn't forgiven me completely, was now civil and warmer with me. He had expressed his approval of me being in Liam's life despite everything that had happened between our packs, an

I called out to my son, who was now by my side, and he gladly approached me.Tears welled up in my eyes as I rushed towards him, and we held each other in a tight, heartfelt hug. My hands instinctively ran through his soft, tousled hair, and I caressed his face with an overwhelming sense of joy and relief. The emotions surged through me like a tidal wave.Liam looked up at me with a hint of concern in his innocent eyes, his small voice breaking the silence. "What's wrong, mommy?"I couldn't contain my tears, but they were tears of happiness, and a warm smile graced my face. "Mommy is just happy to see you again, sweetheart. I love you with all my heart. You know that, right?"Liam's face lit up with a bright, contagious smile, and he wrapped his little arms around me, declari

Jesse"Liam, wake up, please!" I cried out, my voice filled with desperation. Skull Valley loomed in the darkness around us, an eerie silence in the night. Liam lay motionless under the night sky. He didn't respond to my pleas. I tried to rouse him gently, tapping his cheeks, but his eyes remained closed. Panic and fear consumed me, and every passing second only deepened the dread in my heart."Liam!" I shouted, my voice trembling with raw emotion. My mind swirled with a torrent of terrifying possibilities, and I couldn't bear the thought of a future without my son. I shook him, holding onto his lifeless form, pleading with him to awaken, but he remained unresponsive. Desperation welled within me, and my cries grew more frantic, echoing through the desolate night."No... no... my son... wake up..." Jesse I followed Ex-Beta Corey's instructions and arrived at Skull Valley alone, determined to do everything to save Liam. I knew the risks of facing Corey and his rogue army, but I had no choice. My heart pounded with a mix of fear and determination as I ventured deeper into the desolate valley. The moon hung low in the night sky, casting an eerie glow over the rocky terrain. I had to navigate carefully to avoid any unwanted confrontations. The wind rustled through the dry grass, and a chill ran down my spine, making me feel more vulnerable than ever. Finally, I spotted Corey standing near a gnarled tree, holding Liam tightly. Our eyes locked, and a tense silence hung in the air. “Mr. Morris!” Liam shouted, making Corey twitch slightly on his side, silencing him with a tightened grip. I clenched my fist seeing this. “Don’t you dare hurt him!” I shouted back. “I did your bidding. Now, release the boy at once and face me!” Corey shouted with a smirk, "You're a fool, Jesse. Coming

JesseThe day had come for me to face Corey. I stood before the mirror, adjusting my shirt, trying to steady my nerves. I'd been in many battles before, but this one was unlike any other. This time, I had to confront my enemy with an unknown disadvantage, and I needed to find a way to succeed, or else I would lose my son before he even knew I existed. We had decided to stay in the Astoria pack until the day of the confrontation. I was in the room that Alpha Christian had provided as my temporary chambers, mentally preparing for the impending war. Running away was not an option this time.As I tried to gather my thoughts and find the courage I needed, I heard a gentle knock on the door. I knew my mother had come to check on me by her gentle voice. She had been trying to engage me in conversation, sensing the weight of the situation, but my mind was preoccupied, and I had ignored her repeated attempts. She entered the room with some supplies for my journey, her concern and love evident

CarrieThe tension in the room was palpable, like an invisible storm cloud hanging heavily in the air. As the troops wisely decided to make their exit, their footsteps echoed in the silence, and the atmosphere grew even more charged. Alpha Christian and Jerick left as well, their absence leaving us alone to confront the emotional turmoil that had long been simmering beneath the surface.Nancy hesitated, her eyes brimming with tears. An unspoken concern was etched across her face, a deep worry for what might transpire in the room. However, her reluctance to leave was overridden by my firm determination. I could feel her trepidation, her desire to stay and protect, but this was the moment for Jesse and me alone."I think this is the time for Jesse and me to face our past," I finally broke the silence, my voice quivering with a mixture of resolve and anxiety."But, Carrie—"I locked eyes with her, silently pleading for her to trust my judgment. I knew that what needed to be said, what ne

JesseI asked the question, desperate for an answer that Carrie wasn't giving. Frustration boiled inside me, and I raised my voice, demanding the truth from her."Answer me, Carrie! And don't you dare lie to me! IS LIAM MY SON?!"But all I got from Carrie were sobs and heavy breaths, and I needed answers urgently. As I leaned closer to her, a strange sensation began to infiltrate my mind. It felt as if an invisible hand was delving into the recesses of my thoughts, attempting to convey a message. This eerie and disconcerting sensation hinted at a presence trying to communicate with me, yet its source remained unclear. It dawned on me that it was a connection attempting to breach the boundaries of my consciousness, and the realization hit me like a thunderbolt. It was a mindlink, a rare skill possessed only by high-ranking wolves."A mindlink," I muttered, and the others in the woods exchanged glances. Gene pointed out that it might be Corey.Without wasting a moment, I shouted urgentl

My mind conjured the most terrifying scenarios, and I couldn't shake the paralyzing fear of losing him at any moment. I clutched my chest, desperately trying to calm my racing heart and regain some semblance of control. I attempted to convince myself that my son was okay and that nothing bad would happen to him. But who was I kidding? Liam and his friend had been kidnapped by an unknown wolf, and the likelihood of him being hurt in the process was a one-in-a-million possibility.“Liam! Liam! Where are you, sweety? It’s Mommy! Liam!”Desperation consumed me as I called out Liam's name in the woods. The thought of Liam being alone and vulnerable in an unfamiliar place tore at my soul. His face revealed his feelings. Like the rest of us, he too demanded answers regarding the disappearance of Liam and Jaxon.Alpha Christian heaved a sigh, composed himself, and began to calmly explain what had happened."The report is based on our only witness, Carl, one of the freshmen here at Lycan Academy and a friend of Liam and Jaxon. He was the last person Liam and Jaxon were seen with before they went missing.""Another kid was involved?" Gene remarked, his voice tinged with surprise.
