CHAPTER 5:WELCOME TO SWITZERLAND

Our trip didn't take long and my brother parked in front of the building with 'Hotel Des Balances' engraved on it.

This is probably what he is telling me that we will stay for tonight.

I removed the seatbelt and left the car. My brother went to the back of the car to get our baggage. I waited for him and we entered the Hotel Des Balances together.

"Wow" I exclaimed when I saw the view from the balcony.

"The river is called Ruess River. That's the building you can see. Lucerne's old town boulevard lies between city hall and chapel bridge along the river Ruess. You can find restaurants and shops there" my brother explained to me.

"Tomorrow, we will go there. But for now, you need to rest and don't get to take your vitamins" he reminded me.

"I served cheese fondue, I know you like cheese" my brother said last before leaving me.

The view from here is very beautiful. Especially when my brother said that chapel bridge has too many lights and I also see a lot of people walking around.

I took my phone and took a picture. I took a selfie too.

The place is so amazing, so relaxing and glamorous. So get rid of the problem.

"Looks like you're really enjoying it? Here's the cheese fondue" my brother approached me.

"Wow! Why is there chili?" I said laughing. I talk about the toppings in cheese fondue.

"This is really the style of their food here," he answered.

I poured the cheese fondue. I gave brother a thumbs up because I liked the taste, it was so creamy!

The next day. I wore High waisted Jeans and a knitted long sleeve with matching rubber shoes and shades.

I'm excited to travel with my brother's girlfriend, Dione.

"Hi?" Dione greeted me when I left my room. brother Marvin is beside her.

I smiled and greeted her too, she was wearing a simple above knee length dress with matching white rubber shoes.

"You're beautiful in person, Maxine. I thought your brother's description of you was exaggerated"

I smiled and shrugged my shoulders at what she said.

"You are also beautiful, Dr. Dione" I congratulated.

She laughed and put her hand on my arm. At first, I was surprised because she acted like we were close. Even though this is our first meeting.

"I'll take you on a tour of Chapel Bridge first. I'm sure you'll be amazed at the place"

I smiled at her. She is very friendly.

"Like the even more famous Chapel Bridge, Spreuer Bridge is an old. covered wooden bridge with ancient paintings under its roof, representing a dance of death. Spreuer Bridge also served as part of medieval city fortifications" commented Dione as we walked around here at Chapel Bridge.

I looked at what she was teaching. Those are the ancient paintings she was talking about. This Chapel Bridge is really amazing because the material used is made of strong wood.

The serenity of Chapel Bridge it's so amazing!

My brother took a picture of me, so I posted everything. Dione and I also have a picture together.

Next we went to Old Town Boulevard, since it was close by we just walked. It's just at the end of this stretch of Chapel Bridge.

I noticed that the official language they use is German but the main spoken language is the local variant of the Alemannic Swiss German dialect, Lucerne German.

I only bought a little at the shop. I bought some jewelry for Mama.

Brother Marvin and Dione bought a lot of groceries. They seem to get along well.

"Did you enjoy it?" my brother asked me.

"Yeah" I said smiling.

From the bench I'm sitting on here on the Lakeside path you can see the blue-blue river.

Many people also go for a walk with their families.

We decided to go to the apartment that brother Marvin rented while we were here in Switzerland, it was said to be near here in Lucerne.

We went back to the Hotel Des Balances to get our baggage.

We took the bus to the apartment. The trip didn't take long and we were able to enjoy it right away.

"Get some rest, Maxine." Dione told me.

"Okay. Thanks" I smiled at her.

She said her apartment was just across the street. And she has a small clinic here.

"I will cook what we will eat" when Dione presented.

My brother took care of fixing our baggage.

I offered to help Dione in the kitchen but she stopped me.

The next day. Just like brother promised me. We went for a walk all day.

Dr. Dione served as our tour guide. Dione. She is not difficult to get along with, she and brother Marvin are a perfect match. I really like her  sense of humor.

While I was here in Switzerland, I had a lot of fun. My heavy burden disappeared because of the unique atmosphere here.

My fear and nervousness disappeared. My intense thoughts also decreased. The events in my life are very fast. It's like my graduation pictorial was just a while ago, and now here it is. I'm pregnant!

Days and months pass easily. My baby bump is growing little by little without me realizing it.

At first, I was very scared. But as my birth got closer and closer . I will be so excited to see, hug and kiss my child.

I want to make her feel all the love and care I experienced from my parents.

My tears gradually fell while caressing my big belly. Now I'm scheduled for CS.

"I can handle it, for us. Mommy promised that, I will love you and I will not make you feel that there is something missing in your self" I looked up. And closed my eyes tightly.

"Hi, my baby's daddy? Wherever you are right now. I want to let you know that I'm going to give birth to our child. Thank you, because of you. She was born in my womb" I whispered. And smile widely.

"Maxine, are you ready?" Dr. Dione asked me. I turned to her and smiled.
