Carson went back to his room waiting for his wine. Alice came back with the wine soon, she knocked on the door before entering.
She left the wine on the table, she was ready to leave but was dragged back by Carson.
She fell on his chest, she inhaled his body scent. "What are you doing?"
Carson was a man who does not beat around the bush, "Be my girlfriend."
Alice was shocked to hear that. It was just like she imagined when she was working the thought crossed her mind.
She waited, "What do you mean? You want me to be your mistress?"
Carson opened his mouth but closed it back, he wanted to use the perfect word to explain so that she wouldn't misunderstand him.
When he finally got the perfect word to use, he spoke, "I realized that I love you."
Alice dimmed her eyes and folded her arm, "And you think I will accept."
Carson nodded without hesitation, "Yes, because nobody can resist a beauty like me."
Alice was amazed, "You are so confident of yourself."
Carson sat on the bed, and Alice moved closer to him with her hands on her hips, and she wasn't paying attention, so he threw her onto his lap.
Alice was still in a state of shock, "Leave me."
Carson held her right, "I won't release you until you give me an answer."
Alice gritted her teeth, "You want an answer right? My answer is no, I refuse to be your girlfriend."
Carson thought deeply. He stared at her for a long time, "Please." He said slowly.
Alice fell for his puppy eyes, immediately, "Okay." She didn't think too much before she gave her reply.
"Yes! That's good," Carson was good at this thing and turned harder around making her lie on the bed. He was so much on Alice. Before she could regain consciousness Carson landed a very passionate kiss on her lip.
Alice was not so good but she responded to the kiss, during the kiss Carson started traveling on her body.
She quickly stopped so that what happened the other day would not repeat itself. Carson also understood the meaning and only continued with the kissing.
When they were both satisfied with each other, they let go of each other.
Alice laughed because of the red blush on her cheek, "Have your wine later."
Carson smiled and airlifted his head.” Your lips were much sweeter than the wine."
Alice blushed, she hit him on the chest, "Stop it, I need to start going now before they start suspecting "***
Carson peered on her forehead before she left the room. Alice went back to the kitchen with the tray. She was so happy, her face shone brightly.
Clara was in the kitchen with Chef Amelia, "Alice, let's serve the family."
Alice wanted to refuse at first because she did not want to see Carson but she had a change of mind.
She and Clara went to serve the family, and they were all present at the dining area, even Margaret, who has not been home since, was back.
It was now that Alice realized that Margaret looked like a seductress.
Alice and Carson smiled at each other secretly, it looked like all those love during high school. They dropped the food and went back to the kitchen.
The family had their food, without anyone frowning or complaining.
This night seemed to be special, after Carson's meal he sat together with the family which has never happened. He was a workaholic, if he was not working he would be with his lovers.
Mr Macpherson was happy to see changes, he thought it was because of Margaret. "So how are your parents currently?" Mr. Macpherson asked.
Margaret was in a bad mood, "They are fine, they will come and visit you very soon."
Mr Macpherson smiled. The four daughters of the Macphersons were obsessed with their phones. Mr. Macpherson scolded, "Can't we have a family night? Carson is here today, so let's just watch a movie together."
They all thought that Carson was still in the sitting room because of them, but unknown to them he was enjoying the sight of Alice so he decided to stay.
The daughters dropped their phones. Mia took control of the TV, she changed it to a romantic movie.
Mr. Macpherson shook his head, "You girls with your romantic movie again, can't we just watch the news? Try to be aware of what is going on out there."
The four daughters of the Macpherson tried to contain their laughter. Although Mr Macpherson was not that old, he liked to know everything going on in the country. So he spent most time watching the news.
Mrs. Macpherson held his hand, "Let the girls watch whatever movie, they have young blood brewing in their veins.”
Mr Macpherson was reluctant but he still agreed, "Okay, do whatever you want."
The four girls shouted in unison, "Thank you, daddy!"
"Daddy, you're the best!"
"We love you, daddy!"
They were all grinning, their eyes shining with excitement.
The movie was about two hours, during the first hour of the movie Mr. Macpherson expected Margaret to have something to say. But the Margaret he was seeing was not the Margaret he knew he asked, "Margaret what's wrong?"
Margaret looked with curious eyes, "Nothing sir."
Mr Macpherson shook his head, "Do you think I'm a year old baby that you can deceive?"
Margaret opened her mouth and closed it, and after some seconds she began to talk, "Carson left me all alone in our house and he didn't even say anything about the engagement. How are we going to get married when he didn't even ask me out?"
The others who hadn't paid attention to their talk before, turned their heads quickly.
Carson had no expression on, he was still his normal cold-hearted self.
Mr Macpherson glared at his son, "Why didn't you ask her out?"
Carson replied, "Because I don't know how to."
Everyone looked at him and waited for him to speak. Carson felt like someone was squeezing his throat when he spoke. To calm down, he touched the cool, smooth leather of his chair. His voice seemed stronger than it was, but he said, "I've been really busy with work." He took a quick look at her. She had a pretty face, but it looked sad, like a flower dying in the sun. His eyes got angry and small, like a tiger getting ready to attack. "Son," he said in a deep, rough voice, "this engagement isn't just for you." It's about the future of our family. "You should really think about it." Carson felt like arguing, but he pushed it down. It felt like taking a big, bad pill. "Yes, dad," he answered, his jaw clenched like a rubber band about to break. Carson wasn't paying attention when everyone else turned back to the big TV. The movie sounded like it was being shown in a different room. She was all he could think about. She made him feel happy and relaxed with her warm brown eyes and kind
"Carson! Now in my study!" The house echoed with the sound of Mr. MacPherson's words.Carson's heart was beating fast as he walked to his dad's study. He felt like his shoes were full of lead because every step was heavy. His nerves made his hands white as he knocked on the big wooden door."Come in," his dad told him.He stepped into the room,it had the smell of old books and his dad's favorite smokes. Two people named Mr. and Mrs. MacPherson were sitting behind a big desk. They looked serious, like judges who are about to make a decision."Sit down, son," Mr. MacPherson told him, showing him a chair.Carson sat there, feeling small in front of his parents. The tight quiet was broken by the chair's creak."Carson," his worried father said first, "we need to talk about the business." and your plans for the future."Carson felt sick to his stomach. "What's wrong, Father?"Mr. MacPherson let out a sigh and looked old and tired all of a sudden. "Son, the business is in trouble. "Big trou
He woke up the next morning with a sad heart. His mind kept going back to the scene from last night with the moonlight. To figure out what was going on, he had to talk to Alice. He got up and dressed as the warm sun came in through his blinds. He looked nervous as his fingers fumbled with the buttons on his clean white shirt. The smell of clean clothes made him take a deep breath and feel a little better. He took out the phone next to his bed and felt its cool surface. "Hello, kitchen?" Could you please have Alice bring me coffee in my room? "Thanks."Carson walked around the room quickly, letting his soft carpet feel each step. Each second of waiting was marked by the clock on the wall, which seemed to be ticking faster than normal. He jumped when he heard a soft knock on the door. He called, "Come in," but his voice was a little rough.Alice walked in with a silver tray that held a hot coffee pot and cups. It smelled rich and mixed with the light floral scent that Alice always seeme
In her small room, Alice stood by the window and looked out at the huge grounds of the MacPherson estate. The sky was softly colored pink and gold by the rising sun, but she didn't seem to notice how beautiful it was. Her mind was full of feelings and thoughts. Her breath made the cool glass foggy as she whispered to herself, "Have I made a mistake falling for Carson?" "We clearly can't be together, and I can't lose my job right now... "Ah, I'm being stuck!"As thoughts of Carson came flooding back to her, she pressed her face against the window and closed her eyes. He smiled sweetly, touched her gently, and his eyes lit up when he saw her. Then, like a dark cloud over the sun, they saw how things really were: his family's demands, problems at work, and the huge gap in their social ranks.Alice woke up when she heard a soft knock on her door. Right before she opened the door, she quickly wiped her eyes and pressed her uniform. Carson stood there, his fragrance smell all over the place
As people laughed and champagne glasses clinked, the grand hall shone like a gem box. Soft music spread through the air like a smooth band around the guests. Carson and Margaret stood in the middle of it all. They looked like the perfect pair from a high-class magazine.Carson felt like he was stuck in a dream, or maybe a bad dream. His suit usually felt good on him, but this time it was tight and scratchy. Even though he put on a fake smile, it felt like a fake flower. His eyes kept going through the crowd, trying to find Alice. At his side, Margaret smiled, and her diamond necklace caught the light, making little rainbows appear on her skin. She held on to Carson's arm like it was a prize from a fair."Isn't this wonderful, darling?" She cooed, and her voice was as sweet as honey with a hint of steel. "Everyone is so happy for us!"Carson just nodded because he didn't trust himself to talk. He felt like a doll on a string—like he was doing things but not really being there.Everyone
Margaret brushed her long blonde hair while sitting at her desk. When she thought about Carson's recent behavior, her eyes got narrow. There was a problem."He's so cold," she said to herself. "It's like he's a different person."A soft knock stopped her in her tracks. "Come in," she said. One of the maids, Clara, came in with new towels. "Hi Miss Margaret, good morning. I hope you had a good night's sleep. She looked at Clara in the mirror. "Clara, you've worked here a long time, right?"Clara nodded and put the towels in order. "Yes, Miss. Almost five years now.""Tell me," Margaret asked as she turned around. "Has Carson always been so... distant?"Clara hesitated, her hands stilling. "Mr. Carson has always been kind, Miss. I'm just a maid, though. "I don't really know him."Margaret's eyes got very dark. "You're not telling the truth." What do you want to hide?"Clara's face turned pale. "Nothing, Miss!" Promise!"Sarah, another maid, rushed in at that very moment. "Clara, Mrs. Ma
Alice woke up feeling sick, which she had been feeling a lot these past few weeks. With a soft grunt, she put her hand on her stomach, which was turning over. Early morning light came in through her small window and gave her simple room a soft glow. She said in a low voice, "Not again," and slowly stood up. When her head started to spin, she took a deep breath to calm down. The knock on the door startled her. "Alice? What are you doing?" It was Clara's voice, and it sounded worried."Yes, I'm awake," Alice answered, though her voice was a little shakey. "I'll be out in a minute."She let out a sigh when she heard Clara's footsteps going away. Her patience was running out. There was a clear problem.Alice's mind was racing as she got ready for the day. She had been having a bad mood for weeks. She first thought it was stress because she knew that sneaking around with Carson while Margaret looked at her suspiciously was enough to make anyone sick. Okay, but now...The thought made her s
Alice didn't remember much about the next few days. Thoughts of the baby growing inside her kept going through her mind like a robot as she did her work. How was she going to tell Carson? Should she really tell him? What would happen to her family and job?Clara saw that she was distracted. She snuck up on Alice one afternoon while they were changing the sheets in the guest rooms. "All right, spill it. What's wrong with you?"A pillowcase was half-on Alice's hands when she stopped moving. "What do you mean?"Clara put her hands on her hips. Alice, don't act stupid around me. Things have been strange about you for weeks. You look pale, are always tired, and I've heard you throwing up in the morning...Alice's heart beat fast. Was she really that clear? "I... I've been feeling a little under the weather," she said in a shaky voice.Suddenly, Clara's eyes got really big. "Oh my God," she said in a low voice. "You're pregnant, aren't you?"Alice's silence told Clara everything she needed
Nine months seemed to fly by for Alice and Carson. They spent the time getting ready for their new baby, turning the guest room into a pretty nursery with soft yellow walls and cute animal pictures. Charlie was excited to be a big brother and would often talk to Alice's growing tummy. On a warm spring day, Alice felt the first signs that the baby was coming. Carson rushed her to the hospital, his heart beating fast with excitement and worry. After many hours of waiting and Alice being very brave, they finally heard the sound they had been waiting for - the cry of their new baby."It's a girl!" the doctor said, holding up the tiny, pink bundle.Alice and Carson looked at each other with tears in their eyes. Their baby girl was here, and she was perfect."What should we name her?" Carson asked softly, as he held his daughter for the first time.Alice smiled, remembering a name they had talked about. "How about Hope? Because she brings us so much hope and joy."Carson nodded, his eyes sh
After their wonderful honeymoon, Alice and Carson came back home feeling happy and relaxed. They were excited to start their new life together in their new house in London. It was a pretty house with white walls and a red door. The best part was the big garden in the back, perfect for their little son Charlie to play in.On their first day in the new house, Alice and Carson walked through each room, holding hands and smiling. Charlie toddled along behind them, his little eyes wide as he looked at his new home."What do you think, buddy?" Carson asked, picking Charlie up. "Do you like our new house?"Charlie giggled and pointed at the big windows. "Big!" he said, one of the few words he knew.Alice laughed. "That's right, sweetie. The windows are big. And look at the garden!" She carried Charlie to the back door to show him the green grass and colorful flowers. For the next few weeks, Alice and Carson were busy making the house feel like home. They painted the walls in pretty colors, h
After a long flight, Alice and Carson finally arrived at their honeymoon destination. It was a beautiful island with white sandy beaches and clear blue water. As they stepped out of the airport, they felt the warm sun on their faces and smelled the salty sea air."We're here!" Alice said excitedly, squeezing Carson's hand.Carson grinned at her. "Let the honeymoon begin, Mrs. MacPherson!"They took a taxi to their hotel, which was right on the beach. When they walked into their room, they gasped. It was gorgeous, with a big bed, a balcony overlooking the ocean, and even a little hot tub."Oh, Carson, it's perfect!" Alice said, rushing to the balcony to look at the view.Carson came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. "Not as perfect as you," he said, kissing her cheek. They spent the rest of that day relaxing by the hotel pool, sipping fruity drinks with little umbrellas in them. They were both tired from the long trip, but too excited to sleep. The next morning, they
After the beautiful ceremony in the garden, everyone went to a big party to celebrate Alice and Carson's marriage. The party was at a fancy hotel nearby. When Alice and Carson arrived, they were amazed at how pretty everything looked. The room was decorated with white and pink flowers, just like at the wedding. There were twinkling lights everywhere, making the room look magical. Big round tables were set up for all the guests, with white tablecloths and shiny silverware. As Alice and Carson walked in, everyone stood up and clapped. They felt so special, like a prince and princess in a fairy tale. They couldn't stop smiling as they made their way to the main table at the front of the room.Once everyone was seated, it was time for dinner. The food was delicious, just as Alice and Carson had hoped when they picked it out. There was the yummy chicken dish they both loved, and the tasty vegetable pasta. For the guests who didn't eat meat, there was a special vegetarian meal too.Alice an
The sun was just starting to come up when Alice opened her eyes. For a moment, she wondered why she felt so excited. Then she remembered - it was her wedding day! She sat up in bed, a big smile on her face. There was a soft knock on her door. "Alice? Are you awake?" It was her mom, Sarah."Yes, Mom! Come in!" Alice called out.Sarah came in, followed by Carson's sisters - Karen, Mia, Ava, and Alexis. They were all smiling and looking very happy."It's time to get ready!" Karen said, clapping her hands. "We have a bride to make beautiful!"Alice laughed. "Okay, okay! I'm ready!"They all went downstairs to have a quick breakfast. Alice was too excited to eat much, but her mom made her have some toast and fruit."You need energy for your big day," Sarah said, patting Alice's hand. After breakfast, it was time to start getting ready. They went to Alice's room, where her beautiful white dress was hanging up."Oh, Alice," Mia sighed. "Your dress is so pretty!"Alice smiled, running her han
Alice and Carson were very busy getting ready for their big day. They had picked a pretty garden for their wedding. It had lots of green grass, colorful flowers, and big trees. When they first saw it, they both knew it was perfect.Alice's mom, Sarah, was so happy to help with the plans. She and Alice's sisters, Emma and Lily, spent many days talking about all the little details. They looked at lots of magazines and websites to get ideas."What kind of flowers do you want, Alice?" Emma asked one day. They were sitting in Alice's living room, surrounded by pictures of different flowers.Alice thought for a moment. "I like roses," she said. "But I also like daisies. They're so happy and bright.""Why not have both?" Lily suggested. "We could have roses for the fancy parts and daisies for the fun parts."Alice smiled. "That's a great idea! Carson likes both of those flowers too."They decided on white roses for the serious parts of the wedding, like the ceremony. For the party after, the
A few weeks after the trial, Alice was feeling much better. The bad memories were starting to fade, and she was looking forward to good things again. One morning, Carson came to her with a big smile on his face."Alice, my love," he said, "I think it's time we started planning our wedding again. What do you think?"Alice's face lit up. "Really? You still want to marry me after everything that's happened?"Carson hugged her tight. "Of course I do. I love you more than ever. Nothing could change that."Alice felt so happy. She had been worried that all the bad stuff might have changed things between them. But Carson's love was as strong as ever."Okay," she said, smiling. "Let's do it. Let's plan our wedding."But first, the MacPhersons wanted to talk to Alice. They asked her to come to their big house for dinner. Alice was a little nervous, but Carson held her hand and told her it would be okay. When they got to the house, Mr. and Mrs. MacPherson were waiting for them. They looked very
A few days after Alice's rescue, the police were still working hard to understand everything that had happened. They talked to many people and looked at lots of clues. One day, a police officer came to see Alice and Carson at the hospital."Miss Smit," the officer said, "we need to talk to you about something important. We found out that someone else was involved in your kidnapping."Alice sat up in her bed, holding Carson's hand tight. "Who?" she asked. The officer looked serious. "It's Margaret, Mr. MacPherson's ex-fiancée. We have proof that she helped plan your kidnapping with Maxwell."Alice and Carson were shocked. They knew Margaret didn't like Alice, but they never thought she would do something so bad."Are you sure?" Carson asked, his voice shaky. The officer nodded. "Yes, we're sure. We found messages between her and Maxwell. She told him where to find Alice and helped him plan everything."Alice felt sick. She remembered seeing Margaret at the warehouse after her rescue. N
Maxwell paced back and forth in the old warehouse, looking at his watch every few minutes. Alice sat in the corner, tied up, her once-pretty wedding dress now dirty and torn. She watched Maxwell, feeling scared and sad for him, wondering how her friend had become this scary, desperate man. There was a knock at the door. Maxwell's head jerked up, his eyes wide. "Finally," he muttered, hurrying to open it.An old man in priest clothes stood there, looking nervous and confused. "Mr. Johnson? I'm Father Thomas. I got your... strange request."Maxwell pulled the priest inside, quickly closing the door. "Yes, thank you for coming, Father. Like I said, this is a special situation."Father Thomas's eyes got big when he saw the room - the dirty warehouse, the tied-up woman in a wedding dress, the jumpy man who had called him. "Young man, what's going on here?" he asked, his voice shaky."Father, please help me!" Alice cried out. "He took me. He's trying to make me marry him!"The priest steppe
