Chapter 60 Give me a Chance

“Mommy!” Lia squealed when she saw Elissa. Her face brightened up and a wide smile spread across her face. “You are here!”

Elissa gave Lia a tight hug but making sure not to choke her something. When Lia looked at Elissa's face, she noticed her eyes were red, as if she has been crying for a while. “Mommy, were you crying?” Lia frowned, her cute little hands trying to cup Elissa's face.

Elissa got flustered. She breathed a nervous laugh and shook her head. “Of course not, sweetheart. Why will Mommy cry?”

“Then why are your eyes red?” Lia asked, not quite believing her mother's words.

“Oh, that. Actually, there is so much dust outside and maybe that got stuck in my eyes. It is not serious, sweetie” Elissa assured her with her smile.

“Okay. Mommy, is your work done?”

“Yes. Now, I will spend all my time with my little princess!”

Lia giggled and embraced Elissa, kissing her on her cheek. Elissa's heart swelled, at the same time the emotions she had bottled inside her, started to suffocate
