Gabrielle
"Mom, don't you find it strange that Ella hasn't returned home or even called?" I ask my mom who suddenly started staring at me like I had grown another head.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" I ask sharply to snap her out of her trance.
"Well sweetie, you surprised me with that question. It's like the first time you've ever asked about your sister." She says and I immediately laugh at her reaction.
"Don't get it twisted mom, I'm not asking because I care. You and I know that if it were up to me, she would have never been born n the first place and I wouldn't have to carry the cross of having an identical good for nothing out there doing God knows what!" I sneer peevishly, recalling the incident at the cafe parking lot.
"Why do you say that?" She asks.
"Well, I ran into this cute but dumb fool at a cafe and I accidentally spilled coffee on him and when he looked up at me, he called me Gabriella and then told me I'm clumsy, which means that fool is out there making me look bad." I hiss angrily.
"That brat has always been clumsy, I don't think she's done more than run into someone or something trivial." my mom suggests and although I agree with her, I still think it's affecting my image.
"It's not about her now mom, it's about me! What if she keeps doing stupid things and then when people see me they'll think I did those things. Isn't that bad for the company's image?" I sulk childishly, hoping she buys the I care for the company's image act.
Don't get me wrong, It's not like I don't care about the company but right now that wasn't my priority. What I really wanted was for my mom to find out where she is so I could go there to step on her and knowing my sister, I am a hundred percent sure that she's probably working at a store or a supermarket.
"So what do you want me to do?" She drawls and I smile.
"I want to know exactly everything that's going on in her life. Where she's staying, although I can already guess that but more importantly, where she works. Everything there is to know." I conclude quickly and she nods slowly as a sign of agreement.
"Thank you so much mommy." I swueal happily, kissing her cheek in excitement before rushing to my room to get ready for work.

"I'm really looking forward to seeing what you guys will have for me by the end of the week but for now, you're all dismissed." I order strictly, rounding up the meeting I'd set up with the designers.
"Layla, get me a strong cup of coffee with no sugar, please." I order my assistant quickly, feeling too weak and tired.
"Are you okay, miss?" She asks and I glare at her, signalling her to do as I ordered.
I haven't had a moment of peace since I took over Ella's position and to make things worse, half of the employees didn't like me very much. They've even had the audacity to compare us.
My phone rings out to my irritation and I almost swear at the person disturbing me till I realize it's my best friend, Mia.
"Hey Mia, what's up!" I greet tiredly, not even trying to sound happy to be talking to her right now.
"I'm doing great, you sweets?" She responds, sounding abnormally excited.
"Don't even get me started on how I'm doing Mia, everything around here is worse than terrible." I answer back miserably.
"Aww, so sorry sweetie but I have great news that could cheer you up." She states.
"It had better be as good as you claim." I reply quickly.
"Well it is. I just left AT cause I went to see Fabian and you won't believe who I saw." She teases, triggering my curiosity.
"Who?" I ask.
"Gabriella babe!" She replies, sounding weirdly happy to be giving me this information.
"I swear you'd almost not recognize her. The bitch finally decided to work on herself and she's doing a great job." She adds and my bad mood worsens.
"What the hell is Ella doing at AT?'" I hiss angrily but as usual Mia isn't quick to catch my anger.
"She works there as a designer." She replied and my bad mood is definitely not going anytime soon.
"She's a designer? Wait, are you sure?" I ask, hoping it was a sick joke.
"Yes, I'm sure because Fabian told me and remember he works there as well." She replies and I suddenly feel a lump in my throat. Rage was definitely making me sick.
"You know what Mia, I'll talk to you later." I say to her and hang up quickly, immediately trashing my table.
"How can that good for nothing bitch still be a designer!" I yell angrily throwing the first thing that I could grab and lucky for Layla who was unfortunate to walk in, she missed it barely.
"Here's your coffee miss." She stutters shakily and I signal her to leave it on my already messed up table.
"Do you need anything else miss?" She asks, already halfway through the door and she doesn't even bother to wait for my response.
"There's no way in hell I'll let you be successful Ella. There's only one spotlight in this family and it belongs to me and if you get in my way bitch, I'll destroy you beyond recognition." I mutter to myself as different thoughts start to quickly pop in my head and I head home quickly to see my mom.
Gabriella
I have a bad feeling about seeing Mia here and I am almost a hundred percent sure Elle already knows I work here.
I know for a fact that Mia has nothing personal against me but she has a reputation of being a garrulous person and I wonder how all these years, how she has managed to put up with my twin's nasty temper.
"Ella!" I hear someone call out my name and I look up to see a bubbly Fabian, smiling at me.
"Hey Fab." I reply casually, preparing to ask how he and Mia are related.
"Why the long face?" He asks worriedly.
"It's nothing, just the stress from work." I reply casually.
"Can I ask you something?" I ask, getting straight to the point.
"Sure go ahead." He permits.
"What's your relationship with Mia? The girl you met with a while ago." I ask.
"She's my girlfriend. Why, do you know her?" He answers and I almost laugh.
"Mia is your girlfriend?" I ask again and he nods positive.
"Wow, that's quite amazing." I laugh out and from the expression on his face, he wasn't finding it funny.
I'm almost tempted to tell him that I laughed because the Mia I know is a slutty tramp like my sister and that she has never liked having one man, instead she played around with everyone with a penis but I couldn't possibly say that to an already furious guy.
"Don't get me wrong Fabian, I'm just surprised cause you two are so alike and I thought the saying was 'opposites attract'." I lie quickly and that seemed to relax him a bit.
"I guess that doesn't work with me, I love her and she loves me." he shrugs lightly and stands up to leave."Wait a minute Fab, are you mad at me?" I ask, sensing a weird vibe from him.
"Yes I am, cause you just laughed at my relationship and you also just lied. I know exactly what you're thinking Ella, that Mia is a slut and you didn't expect her to be with me but let me tell you, she's different now and I won't tolerate your thoughts about her." He replies angrily before walking back to his desk.
Wait, what just just happened? Was I really that obvious? I mentally ransack, wondering were exactly I went wrong with my words.
"You are the biggest fool on this planet Ella." I mutter to myself in frustration.
I stare at an angry looking Fabian and I immediately feel bad for judging his girlfriend just because of her past although, I have every reason to judge her. She hangs out with Elle and that definitely robs off on her.
"Ella, over here please." Jack calls, distracting my thoughts and I decide to let things cool a little before approaching Fabian to apologise.
I sincerely hope my big mouth hasn't ruined my friendship with my first actual friend here.
Gabrielle "I can't believe what you're telling me sweetie. That stupid child has the guts to go work for the enemy and go against her father's company? I thought she said she loves her father." My mom scoffs angrily after I'd told her about Ella's new job."That's right mom. That insignificant no good human being had the guts to actually challenge me mom, she had the audacity to try to be me but mommy dearest mark my words, I'm not gonna let her take my spotlight. Ever!" I assure her and she smiles in satisfaction. If you're wondering why I'm so against Ella's success, it's simply because I hate her. I hate her like I have never hated anyone. She and my father are the people I detest the most in my life and fortunately, one of them is six feet under."If Ella thinks she can outshine me mom, I'll kill her because the only way she can succeed in this life is over my dead body." I spit out angrily, feeling t
Gabriella It's been two weeks since Elle showed her face here and I honestly can't explain how happy I am that she's off my back, it may not be permanently but at least I don't have to deal with her suffocating remarks."Fabian, do you have any idea why the director asked for us?" I ask nervously, hoping that my recent sketch had maybe gotten to him and he approved them or at least some good news."So you don't even know?" He asks, making me wonder what exactly I needed to know."Duh silly, I just said so " I reply and If my reply was rude, screw it cause his facial expression was rude first. "I thought you've worked in the fashion industry before?" He asks, and I could smell the sarcasm in that question, what hell does he know, idiot!"Just get to the point Fabian!" I snap at him."Fine, miss clueless. Eliana Guitarra is coming to New York and she put out a challenge for the best fas
Gabrielle "I'm on my way mom, I'm almost there." I reply in a hurry, before hanging up in frustration.I've been driving for almost two hours just to finally meet the man my mom hasn't stop talking about and according to her, he's the co-judge for Eliana Guitarra's fashion challenge which makes him the second in command after Eliana and apparently a good friend of my mother.I arrive at the hotel address given to me by my mom who had been the mastermind behind this meeting. I drop my keys with the valet not even bothering to look around since I was already running late and I don't plan on squandering this opportunity for anything."Hey mom, I just arrived but I don't know the room number." I say to my mom as soon as she picks up and she tells me the room number and also explains what I should and should not do."Okay, I get it mom, thanks." I reply her and hang up before heading to the reception.&n
Third person pov Gabrielle and Gabriella arrive at the same time with Gabrielle throwing looks of disdain at her sister but Gabriella just chooses to ignore her and kept her hands clinged to Martin, who happily paraded around with a beautifully dressed Gabriella. He could not remember the last time his friend had put so much effort in looking good and he felt proud to be her date for the night.Fabian alongside his girlfriend, Mia, approach Gabriella and Fabian doesn't hide his flirtatious comments on seeing how his co worker looked."Jesus Ella, are you trying to seduce me or what?" He says harmlessly, engulfing her in a hug that infuriated Mia but she keeps her cool and pretends to admire Ella although she couldn't stand the sight of her. She kept counting the seconds he held her in a hug, literally pulling him off her when it exceeded ten seconds, earning a curious stare from both Martin and E
Gabrielle"I can't believe it mom. How the fuck did I miss this!" I yell angrily, more at myself than at my mom who looked a little terrified at my outburst. "Do you think they're actually going out?" She asks and I scrunch my face in disgust."God forbid mother!" I forbid sharply, feeling completely disgusted with the idea of Ella and that Liam guy dating. That's definitely a bad combo. I would not have given a crap about them dating if I didn't just find out whose son he was and knowing that fact, I can't allow such a disastrous relationship to blossom. Liam Helton was literally gold in the fashion industry and of all the women he had to cross paths with, it had to be my dumb sister. Is God finally showing his true colours."How can you be so sure? Something could be cooking up between them." My mom voices out worriedly."If they were an item mom, I would be the first t
Gabrielle. "How did things go with Sandler?" My mom asks and I give a tight smile in response, hoping she would just get the message that I didn't want to talk about it but as should be expected, she wanted details."You need to learn to trust me Gabrielle." She hisses and I frown. "Come on mom, if I don't trust you, who am I gonna trust? Besides I'm sure you can already guess what went down between that old bastard and I. I asked him to screw Ella over, he agreed but of course, sex is his payment." I give a quick explanation and she sighs."I really don't get your obsession with screwing Ella over. I thought you'd want her where she is so you can show her you're the better twin." She answers back, earning a bitter chuckle from me. "Mom, let's face it, if Ella and I stood in the same position here in this industry, it would take me years to achieve what Ella would achieve in months. You and I know, I'm not the
Two weeks later. Gabriella. I lazily scroll through my phone and lucky for me, Martin wasn't too busy to keep me entertained with goofy pictures of himself, showing off his killer smile and his cheekbones that I'm definitely jealous of. The cafe wasn't too busy in the evening which meant less work for me and same pay and fortunately my shift was ending in less than an hour. Someone walks in and I drop my phone very quickly almost smashing it to attend to the supposed customer only to realize it wasn't just any customer, it was Gabrielle dressed in a formal dress with a small smile on her face. She honestly looked drained. "Gabrielle? What are you doing here?" I ask as I cross over towards her and she pulls me in for a quick hug and when I say quick, I mean like 1.2seconds which unfortunately is the longest genuine hug I've ever gotten from her, but at l
Fourteen years earlier...Gabriella We arrive in school and I sigh in frustration since everyday in school is always torture for me. I really hate it when teachers and parents tell us kids that school is fun when it's nothing but a scam. To me, school just serves as a daily reminder of how sad and lonely my life is. It's like a painful way life helps me reuse and recycle my sadness, if you know what I mean.Gabrielle struts in sassily in her usual bossy manner and she is quickly joined by those snakes she calls her friends, Mia, Alicia and Tracy. The four of them together are the reason I hate school. Four psychopathic children roaming around a supposedly sane environment and they claim school is safe place. Liars!"Hey looser, can you move to the other side? I don't want people staring at us at the same time. It's disgraceful!" Elle taunts and as usual her dumb friends laugh like she'd just said the world's funniest
LIAM "Mom, you still haven't told me what you're doing here and why you're sitting so quietly," I said to my mom, who suddenly walked in here about ten minutes ago and still hasn't said a word. "This is my company Liam and I can walk into wherever I like, whenever I like," she retorted and I couldn't help but stare back at disdainfully. "Agreed mom, it's your company and there's no doubt about that but just a reminder this is my office and you can't just barge in here and not tell me exactly what brings you here in the first place," I snapped back at her, not exactly in the mood to deal with her tantrums today. "Let me ask you something Liam, do you really love me as your mother? Do you genuinely care about me l
Gabrielle. I walked into the hotel with my head high, trying as much as I could to keep my face as expressionless as possible. I knew for a fact that my decision to come here was literally me walking straight into the lion's den but lately, I can't help but enjoy putting myself in difficult positions. I couldn't even bring myself to tell my mom about this cause I knew for a fact that she would try to talk me out of it by giving me a million reasons why it would be a bad idea and since I didn't really care much about her opinions anymore, I decided against letting her know anything. At the end of the day, even she would do exactly what I'm doing cause we're not that different after all. "Hi, good afternoon," I greeted the hotel receptionist with a small smile.
Gabriella. "Is everything okay Gaby?" Fabian asked worriedly. "Me? Of course, I am. Do I look like something's wrong with me?" I replied, staring back at him confusedly. "No, it's not Gaby. It's just, I'm worried about how you're holding up mentally. I mean come one dear, I know you and I know very well that you are acting like everything is okay with you but then with everything that's been happening around you lately, I know for a fact that it's affecting you mentally and I want you to know that you can always talk to me about anything and that I'll always be here for you when you need me," he replied and I sighed. Truth is, he isn't exactly wrong about everything not bei
Gabriella. FLAMES! That was all I could see right at this very moment. Everything around me spun around in 360° and my heart felt like it was just about to jump right out of my body. "Excuse me Sir, what's happening? How did this happen?" I could hear Liam faintly asking the people around but right after that, my eardrums started to feel like they were burning from the inside. I could neither hear or see anything aside from the terrible fire that the firefighters were trying so hard to put out. A few feet away from me was an ambulance that I suppose is here to carry Katherine's body away. Apparently, they found a gunshot wound to her stomach which means that definitely, her death is
Gabrielle. My eyes scanned the environment as soon as I parked my car and as much as I wasn't expecting anything worth looking at, I didn't expect the place to look so horrifying and disgusting. To think my silly rage and my thirst for revenge actually drove me here today just so I can personally teach that loud brat a lesson. "Doesn't exactly look like a palace, does it?" a familiar husky voice says suddenly and I turn around to see Chris, one of my mom's hitmen who I had the misfortune of having to inherit. "I wasn't exactly expecting to see a palace or anything but I'll be honest, it's worse than I thought," I confessed and he stared back at me coldly. "It's actually the most decent one we h
Gabriella. I paced around the living room impatiently as countless theories and possibilities started to flood my thoughts at once, making me feel slightly nauseous and nervous. I've been pretty restless for the last few days after noticing Liam's strange behaviour and as much as I don't want to admit it, I have a feeling I'm the reason he's suddenly being so off and distant. There's definitely something he's keeping from me and the fact that he wasn't sharing whatever it was that bothered him made me feel ten times worse and even if whatever he's going to say would hurt my feelings, I needed to know as soon as possible so I don't end up losing my mind over it. He normally used to come back home around 6pm but nowadays, he suddenly started to come home pretty late an
Gabrielle. "Do I really have to come with you?" Mia sulked for the umpteenth time, still trying to get out of coming with me to see Gabriella. "Yes, you have to come with me Mia and I already told you this a thousand times. I don't think I can go there by myself and I need you to help me keep up with the pretence," I respond, feeling sick and tired of having to repeat myself. "Why me though? You know I hate her just as much as you do!" she said and I scowled. "Really Mia? Really?" I asked and she rolled her eyes. "Okay, maybe not as much as you do but I still hate her and I'm not exactly the best at pretending. I don't even get
GABRIELLE. "She did what?" I ask in a sharp tone, staring at my mom with wide eyes. "You heard me right sweetie. Your stupid sister had the effrontery to visit Martin's dad and she even had the audacity to threaten him like the fool she is." Mom repeats herself and honestly, I'm surprised. I never would have imagined that Ella would be stupid enough to walk into the lion's den and even go as far as threatening the lion. Even I, would not do something so foolish. "Does that girl have any idea who David Deville is? Didn't she do her research?" I ask rhetorically, shaking my head at how terrible the consequences of her actions would be. Martin's dad is the complete opposite of Martin himself. While I'd say Martin is a big idiot who has no ambition and no sense of reasoning, his father would be the total opposite of that. Mr Devill
LIAM. "Stop staring at me like that." I hiss at Corey, who hasn't stop looking at me like I suddenly grew an extra head. "Why shouldn't I? Can't you see what's happening here? Mom called a family meeting, something she hasn't done in years just because of you. You really should be proud of yourself." He says, obviously trying to mock me. Mom had suddenly called yesterday and she asked that she wanted to meet with all five of us and it honestly had to be the most surprising thing ever because the last time she did something like this was the week dad died and for her to call this sort of gathering out of the blue means she's about to go off on someone and I have a feeling it's gonna be me. "Corey, Liam, not today." Tyler warns strictly. "Tell that to that idiot not me." I hiss under my breathe, earning a displeased look fr
