Chapter 362 Better to Cling to Life than to Die

"Now, what's the use of making these assumptions?" The man squatted down and roughly grasped Lyla's chin, his grip strong and devoid of any mercy.

Lyla's chin ached from the pressure, but she remained silent and unflinchingly met the man's gaze. She didn't believe she had done anything wrong in this matter.

"You were promised to marry him while he was alive. So, even after his death, you should see it through!" the man said as his eyes narrowed slightly.

A chill spread across Lyla's body. "What are you planning to do?" she asked.

She had been captured and brought here several days ago. But it was only today that she met this man. Later, she learned that he was the one who had kidnapped her, and he'd done so because of that incident from years ago.

The days she had been held captive were full of despair and torment, and she found herself longing for Sheldon.

She wondered if he would search the world for her if he knew about her predicament. Or would he even worry about her?
