"Don't worry, I know." Ivan quickly changed the topic. "Did she hurt you?"

Leslie shook her head. She still felt uneasy at the thought of the woman dying in the fire. "She probably didn't mean to harm me."

"That's good."

Ivan glanced at her through the rearview mirror. He easily read her thoughts and reassured her, "She has been stirring up trouble for me.

"She used you against me this time. And what about the next time? I can't let such a person go unscathed.

"Leslie, just forget about this, okay?"

However, Leslie couldn't bring herself to agree with him. She still felt that the woman was telling the truth.

Maybe Ivan was indeed in the wrong this time. But Leslie was just a friend to Ivan.
