Charlotte's POV

"W…who?" She stuttered, and I sighed.

"I'm looking for my mate. It's been so many months, and we've searched the whole pack, but couldn't find her. Please, if she's here, let me know. I need to apologize to her," I said sincerely, silently clearing my throat.

"I'm sorry, Alpha, but my family and I haven't seen her either since the festival of finding your mate," she replied, bowing respectfully. I hissed in frustration.

"This is the only place I know she could be," I grumbled in frustration before I stood up to take my leave.

"If she ever comes to visit, let her know that I came to check on her, and I'm not mad at all," I said and began striding out of the room.

I pulled open the door and walked out, descended the stairs, and returned to my car.

"Moon goddess, I'm giving up. She truly left," I whispered as I sat in the driver's seat.

I remained in the car, resting my head on the steering wheel, deep in thought about the next steps to take.
