And saying ‘things’, she meant the new clothes, bags, accessories, and many more that they had gotten for her. It was also in the same room, she had kept her small bag, which she had left her father's and her ex-husband’s house with.

Grabbing the bag, Anna poured out all her contents on the bed in the room to search for her international passport, so she could book the next available flight out of London.

Anna was searching for her passport when her eyes fell on her mother’s wedding ring. She stared at the only possession she had of her mother, and her heart tightened in pain. Her past was slowly closing in on her. She was only able to live freely and comfortably with the twins because her father most probably hadn’t found out that she was divorced, else- she knew that the anonymous threatening messages wouldn’t be the only thing
