"So what do you wanna talk about?" I asked Cole.

"Your cheek. Why is it swollen?" He asked and I shrugged.

"It's an allergic reaction," I said and he shot me a bored look.

"Did Storm do this to you?" Cole asked angrily and I shook my head before breathing out slowly.

"My mom- she slapped me," I said and Cole frowned at me.

"Are you serious?" He asked and I nodded. "I'm sorry." He said under his breath and I silently watched him.

"Are you okay?" He asked me and I nodded.

"Did you and your dad go on a trip?" I asked him and he nodded.

"Yes. Liv, don't try to change the subject." He said and I smiled at him.

"No, I genuinely wanted to know," I said and he just shook his head at me.

"Olivia and Cole, would you guys like to share what you're talking about with the class?" Miss Octavia asked and I looked at Cole in panic.

"I was just telling Liv how beautiful she is." He said and everyone broke out into conversation I looked at Cole in disbelief.

"Silence," Miss said and everyone

I walked downstairs and a smile rested on my face as I remembered how drunk Cole and I got last night when we were done watching Harry Potter. I haven't had that much fun with Cole in so long. We didn't kiss or hook up, we just finished an entire bottle of 818 tequila together. We got shit faced and it was the funniest thing ever. I smiled when I saw Cole standing by the kitchen island and he shook his head at me as his back rested against the counter top. "How are you smiling right now, my head is killing me." He said and I shrugged. "I drank a tomato smoothie earlier." I told him and he frowned at me. "I made some for you too." I said and he smiled softly. "Thank you." He said before grabbing the tomato smoothie I made for him from the refrigerator. "My dad and your mom are out of town again. For the week." Cole said and I frowned lightly. "Wow, they didn't even say goodbye." I said in disbelief. "At least they left us a note." Cole said sarcastically before holding a

"Hand these out," I told Rook as we stood in the hallway before handing him a bunch of flyers. Cole and I went to his house last night and found him in a very depressed state. And we just hung out with him and convinced him to come to school today. Which he did and that is pretty great. A short blonde girl came walking up to me, don't I know her? She stopped in front of me before holding her hand out and I handed her a flyer. "When are the auditions?" She asked me and I smiled at her. "Right after school in the gym," I told her, and then it clicked. "I'll see you then, Ellie," I told her and she smiled at me. "You remember me?" She asked me and I nodded. "Of course, we auditioned for the cheer squad together. You're a great dancer." I told her and she smiled at me. "Thanks, I'll see you later Liv." She said and I nodded at her before she walked down the hallway. "Do you think people are gonna show up?" I asked Rook and he nodded. "You're the most popular kid in school,

I looked around the packed gym and smiled broadly before I showed the girls in front of me one of my freestyles, which is easy to learn but sassy enough to make it look extremely hard. I went slow at first and without the music and the second time I showed them the dance with the music. "Alright girls, you have thirty minutes to practise this dance. After that we're choosing fifteen of you and the rest will be eliminated. The fifteen people that remain will have to do freestyles and we'll pick the best nine out of you guys, the rest of you will have to go home. So, let's find my nine dancers." I said with a smile on my face and they applauded me. I saw a guy in the crowd and I frowned lightly before calling him over and he came jogging up to me. "Are you auditioning?" I asked him and he nodded at me. "Yeah I'm stoked." He told me and I smiled at him. "Well in that case I'll be keeping an eye on you." I told him and he seemed nervous. "I knew I'd stick out like a sore thum

"Liv!" Cole called me with a serious look on his face. "I'll see you later." I told Austin before getting up from the ground. And only then did I realise that it had become dark. I walked up to Cole, Lamar and Griff and once I reached them I frowned up at Cole. "Yes." I said softly and he licked his lips before looking into my eyes. He pulled me into his arms and I felt butterflies in my chest. "Cole-" I started but was cut off by him. "Can we talk?" He asked me and I looked into his eyes before nodding at him. We walked over to an empty table before we sat down on two chairs across from each other, and Cole pulled me closer to him by my chair, until my legs were between his. He silently looked into my eyes, he seemed angry but calm all at the same time. "What's wrong?" I asked him in concern. "Nothing." He said blankly. "Are you still with Storm?" He asked while looking at me and I frowned lightly. "I don't know." I said softly. "What do you mean you don't know?" He asked me

Five Years Later...Years had passed since those chaotic days, and life had finally settled into something resembling peace. Standing under the warm sun in my mom’s garden, surrounded by laughter and the buzz of family catching up, I felt a quiet kind of contentment I never thought I’d deserve. The years had been kind. I finally found my footing, throwing myself into writing, something that had always made me feel alive. What started as a simple hobby turned into something more. Now, my books are being sold in bookstores all across the country, and people I didn’t know appreciated them in ways I could never have imagined. Healing wasn’t a straight path, but it led me here to a version of myself I was proud of. I wasn’t the only one who had found their place in the world. Jade had started her own fashion line and was already making waves in the industry. Paige had opened a wellness retreat in Colorado and was thriving. Rook had gone into music production and was working with some o

What's even worse is that I haven't seen Griff or Cole all morning."Fresh meat," I heard someone uttering from behind me. I slowly turned around and found a tall man hovering over me. He had a buzz cut, hazel brown eyes, brown skin and a smile that met his eyes on his face.He sat down next to me, our face only mere inches apart from each other and my eyes widened at his closeness."I'm Ash," he smiled at me before holding his hand out to me. He smells like heaven. I hesitantly shook his hands before moving back from him a bit."I'm Olivia but most people call me Liv." I told him."Olivia, that's a beautiful name." One Year Later...I graduated today, everything went well. The dance squad made it to regionals this year and won, but we lost at nationals. It was still good memories though. I threw my cap in the air before leaving the bleachers. Everyone has gone home by now. Maybe it was stupid of me to hope but I thought Cole would show up to support me. I heard he joined the army but my Cole would've shown up no matter what. Even if it meant showing up late, he still would've been here. But I guess he regrets falling in love with me now. I left the football field and made my way to the parking lot. I jumped into my car and drove home in silence, the radio was barely audible as it was playing in the background. I parked my car in my dad's driveway. I went inside and found him, my mom, and Ian all waiting for me in the kitchen.I greeted them before sitting down by the kitchen island. "Are you ready to go tomorrow?" Ian asked me and I nodded at him. "I am." I pointedly stated."Liv, you don'

A/N: Just a little heads up: there are going to be a few time skips to ensure the smoothness of the story. One Month Later... Cole I quietly sat at the edge of the road. I looked down at the water beneath my feet. I haven’t been here in so long. Grate's Bridge. This is where Liv, Rook, and I spent most of our nights before summer break. Back when his mom was still alive. Unfortunately, the cancer got the best of her, and now she’s just gone. I know what it feels like- to lose your mom. It’s the kind of pain you never forget. Not that I want to forget it; pain is the only thing I have left of my mom. That’s why I never talk about her. Colleen Cyprus. I think of her most of the time. She was beautiful. Always so calm and peaceful. She was gentle in everything she did. She never did anything wrong or bad. She was a saint. When I met Liv, she reminded me so much of my mom. She was so pure, maybe even too beautiful for me to touch. At least that’s what I thought.

These are the results-""So what you're saying is that my son isn't my son anymore? How is that even possible? I raised him, and my ex-wife gave birth to him, Liv. I just need to make sense of all of this and ask a few people some questions- thank you for showing me these." He uttered in a shaky voice."Of course, call me if you need anything." We sat down by the firepit before we looked up at each other. "Please help me understand." I softly told him and he tightly clenched his jaw at my request. "Please, Cole." I uttered before taking his hands in mine. "Ian is not my dad, Liv. You're his daughter. But you're not my sister because Ian and I are not related- at all. I think my mom might have had an affair and lied to my dad- to Ian that I was his. Maybe he knows something. My mom is dead so, I can't exactly ask her about it." He told me so, I shook my head
