Carla
I was in the kitchen cutting the apple. Isabelle was making some seafood and Paolina was in some room cleaning.
“Why do you think Aeden is so into me?” I asked her as I turned around and leaned against the counter and took a bite from the piece of the apple.
She just smiled not understanding anything I just asked her. I wouldn’t blame her. Isabelle was like a motherly figure who was old school and didn’t try and learn different things. Paolina had slipped that her father worked for Aeden and that’s how the duo got the job here as housekeeping. But when Paolina’s father passed away, Aeden didn’t fire them and kept them as they were loyal.
“Doesn’t he love Pearl?” I asked more to myself.
Aeden had been confusing. Wonder what Perl must be thinking. Me being in a different land, overseas, without any form of communication, didn’t help because I couldn’t even
CarlaI pull the light pink cardigan over my shoulder to hide the vicious bite marks Aeden had given me. I threaded my fingers through my hair and massaged my scalp. I had been having headaches since morning.I walked over to my bed and slumped on the soft mattress, pulling my knees closer to my chest. Pulling the sleeves of the cardigan to cover my palm, I try and close my eyes. I wanted to sleep but I just couldn’t.I had been having recurrent nightmares and without my meds, it was getting difficult. I just wanted my meds but I couldn’t ask Aeden for it.Since last night, after his assault, I haven’t left my room. I didn’t want to face him. He was disgusting. He did send Paolina and Isabelle with some food but me being me, I refused. They tried getting me to eat but I was just hell-bent.Tears gather my eyes as I tried to pry away the feeling of his finger inside of me but it just wasn’t. It wasn&rsq
CarlaI emptied the bile that rose up my throat into the toilet. I lift my head up and saw Paolina standing by the door.I gagged again and she immediately rushed to my side and held my hair up, dropping to her knees. I threw everything up that was in my tummy. When I finished and slumped on the floor and leaned back on the shower stall. She immediately got up and rushed out of the bathroom and came back the next second with a glass of water. She leaned down and handed it to me.I accepted it and didn’t thank her because I was having trouble even keeping my eyes open.“Are you okay?” She asked and I just nodded my head in negative as I pulled the glass from my lips. The acidic taste of the vomit still persisted but it was much better. She nodded and before she could open her mouth, a familiar voice reached our ears.“Pao—” his words cut short as he noticed me on the floor leaning my
CarlaIf only I could explain the look on his face. To say he was enraged would have been an understatement. His hold on me was so harsh that I’d probably end up with ugly bruises but again, I didn’t have it in me to actually push him or break free. I felt weak. My whimpers were muffled and despite him being so close to me, they were all unheard.“Isabella, vattene.” He growled as he looked straight ahead at the wall in front of him. He didn’t even turn back. (Isabelle, get out)“Sí,” she mumbled softly, and turned around and walked out without even looking up. (Yes)“Ucciderò quella cagna,” he gritted out making me shiver at the intensity of his low, cold and hostile voice. I didn’t understand anything he said but I assume he was cursing. (I’m gonna kill that bitch)“Controllala e se provi a farle del male, non sarai vivo per vedere l’alba
CarlaI looked around still weak. I noticed Aeden in a white T-shirt, black jeans, and a matching leather jacket. He had a gun stuffed in the waistband of his jeans. His hair was disheveled and some of his tattoos were visible. Specifically, the ones on his hand, as half of them were hidden underneath the sleeve of his leather jacket. A confident aura radiated from him. I didn’t want to admit it but he did look fucking hot.“Carla.” He walked up to me calmly and I looked at him, blankly.“We have to leave.” He said and I raised one of my brows at him.“I have to do this,” he said and I noticed one of his lapdogs walk towards us as he stretched his palm out and he placed a syringe on his open palm. That was it! My eyes widened in horror. The asshole was going to drug me again!“No! I’ll walk on my own. You don’t need to do that!” I was quick to answer.“I
Carla“I’m so dead,” I whispered to myself when I noticed he made his way towards me.In three quick and long strides, he stood in front of me, towering my small frame with his large and tall frame. I craned my neck a bit to look into his eyes. And they still had the same longing in them, they did three years ago.“Mr. Arnold.” Aeden came up to me and wrapped one of his hands around my waist and pulled me closer to him before the man in front of us could speak up.With black eyes and dark hair, and being just an inch or two shorter than Aeden, he still looked the same. The same man I met three years ago. The one mistake that I still regret. If only he wasn’t the way he was, I would have definitely given Steve a chance.“Mr. Beckett, I’m so sorry for your loss,” he sends his condolences our way, ripping his eyes from mine to my so-called husband.Aeden just nods and his ho
CarlaWe sat down at the dining table and sure enough, Aeden sat to my right. Since all the guests were gone, we haddinner a little late. Also because Sarah was having a hard time accepting the fact that her mother was no more. The maids served food on the very fancy light blue plates in front of us. I have no clue why the fucking utensils in this house are so fancy, but they are. I roll my eyes at how much money these people waste on useless shit. I mean the amount spent on these plates could have easily fed a small batch of hungry kids.We quietly began eating food. Although I had lost my appetite, I had to eat because everyone was there. Steve had surely made his way back into my mind. He was still trying to get to me when Jack and I were dating and Jack didn’t like him one bit. One drunken night and he took everything too seriously. It was a mistake and for all, I know and I don’t even remember anything.I was quietl
AedenRubbing my eyes with my fist, vigorously, I snapped my eyes open. My eyes came in contact with the now-empty bed. Carla wasn’t there anymore. Maybe in the bathroom or having her breakfast. I turned on my back and looked at the wall clock. It was half-past nine. I overslept. It was the most peaceful and pleasant sleep I had in years now. All because of one person, my queen.Sleeping beside her calmed my raging nerves and her sweet smell lulled me to sleep. I desperately needed that after the death of my mother, which I was upset about. Her sweet scent calmed my beasts and tried awakening a part of me I didn’t know existed. A gentle side. But I wasn’t the gentleman that I portrayed to be. I was a demon walking in human flesh and no one could change that. Not even Carla. When I returned to the room after my dinner, yesterday night, I saw how uncomfortably she slept on the bed. I changed quickly into my sweats a
CarlaI am sure that this car has a tracker. Aeden is one sick asshole and he’s capable of doing anything. What I’m sure of right now is that nobody is following but not for long. I have to do run before Aeden actually figures out I ran away.It won’t be long before he wakes up and finds out I stole from him and ran away.I pull up and park the car in a corner. I would be dammed if this car doesn’t have a fucking tracker. I kill the engine and leave the keys inside the car and lock the car and just unlock my door before carefully closing it in such a way that it locks.Well, now he’ll need a mechanic to get to his car.I need a change of clothes. I’m sure he would have already memorized what I was wearing. Taking the money I run to the shopping lane that was a bit of a walk from here.I was fast on my heels. Not wasting a single minute. I had to get out of this place. But what I was
