“Where is my wallet?” She muttered to herself looking through the drawers in the dining room.

“Do you need something?” His sinfully alluring British accent hit her ears from behind.

“Yes, I’m unable to find my wallet, but you go ahead, I’ll lock the door behind me once I find my wallet,” she said and continued digging and searching.

“Alright, good day,” he said in his charming and seemingly normal voice.

The thing about Aeden was that he never let his facade crumble down. He had put on a show. Well, nobody had actually seen him, just some people in Europe and Mexico, people of extremely high importance and nobody else. Despite being a well-known personality or a criminal, he was still anonymous.

“Same to you,” she yelled once she realised he was out by the door.

She sighed as she walked up to see if her wallet had been misplaced in one of the rooms. She searched all the

Her phone rang, jolting both Kiara and Carla in fear. It was dark and the fact that both of them were watching a horror movie didn’t make it any better.“Ahhh…” Kiara screamed in horror when the jump scare on the TV completely startled her and landed up dropping the large bowl of caramel popcorn on Carla.“Kia!” Carla yelled in fear and anger. She stood up and all the popcorn fell on the rug. She took her phone from the coffee table and answered it, whilst moving her tee to get rid of the popcorn that managed to get inside.“Hello?” She answered.“Carla, it's Jona,” he said in a hushed tone, making Carla frown.“Jona it's eleven in the night, what’s wrong?” She asked him.“It's about the client of yours. The guy that was murdered,” his voice urgent and now reduced to a whisper.“Yeah?” She uttered. She was confused as to why he

She took her coat and put her hands into the pockets to pull out the fucking drugs. She wouldn't have been so stressed if it wasn't for the anonymous tip she received regarding the drugs. She was afraid that whoever tipped her, knew a lot. And she was right; when Jona came with the drugs, she was terrified. Just like mentioned in the anonymous tip, that Jona would bring it to her. What she didn't understand was that how did the person predict that Jona would bring her the drugs. At first, she thought it was a setup but later dismissed the theory when she received a threat. No sooner she got the tip, she received a call from a private number, and the person threatened her, that if she tried to do something stupid, they'd kill everyone close to her. By stupid, they meant anything at all.Her eyes widened in horror when she didn't find it in either of her pockets."No! Shit!" She cursed out loud and pulled the door of her room open roughly

He just had two days left but still hadn’t had sex with Carla. He took the paperweight from his desk and slammed it across the wall, creating a small and deep dent on the wall. He was beyond frustrated. She would never return home before him. No matter how late he was, she was never home.He did for a second want to take her against her will but for that too, he needed her. And he hadn’t fucking seen her face in five whole days.Today he had made up his mind, he was going to do it whether she liked it or not.He finished his work well in advance. But before he could go home, Eric entered his office without knocking and practically jumping on Aeden.“What the hell?” Aeden growled in annoyance and pushed Eric. Eric stumbled back and was panting heavily.“Aeden there’s something important that I want to discuss with you,&rd

  • Not Mine   Chapter 22

She peered her eyes open but instantly shut them. Shooting her hand up to her neck, she rubbed it gently.Slowly shifting on the bed, she opened her eyes completely. Carla was taken aback when her eyes met with peach celling.Instantly sitting up, she took in her surroundings. She was in a different room. Correction, she was in a room, she had never seen before.“Where the fuck am I?” She whispered softly.Pushing the comforter off of her body, her eyes widened when she noticed herself in peachy silk shorts and noodle strappedtop. The last she remembered was Aeden drugging her. But he did fall next to her himself. All she could wonder was, who abducted her.Jumping off the bed, she ran to the door and turned the doorknob. She was glad it was open. Slowly, without making any noise, she stepped out and closed the door behind her softly. She glanced around her. An expensive rug under her feet and a richly decorated hall

Isabelle unlocked the door to see Carla sitting at the edge of the bed with her head hung down. She made her way towards Carla and reached out for her wrist and released her wrists with the help of the keys that Eric had given her.Isabelle pitied the girl. She didn’t understand why Eric was behaving like this with her. Eric wasn’t a man who would force or do anything towards a woman but seeing him cuff this girl, her heart ached for her. He even ordered them not to give her any food or water as her punishment.Isabelle didn’t approve of it but she couldn’t help but follow Eric’s orders. If not for their capo, it was Eric whose orders had to be followed in the house. She wanted to ask if the girl was fine but she didn’t know any English and the girl didn’t know any Italian.“Paolina,” Isabelle called out unable to see Carla sitting like a statue. She hadn’t moved an inch since Isabelle had entere

Carla“Good night,” Paolina said as she walked out of the kitchen.“Night!” I yelled loudly so she could hear me.I looked around one last time before walking to one of the cabinets and taking a glass out and filling it up with water.I brought it closer to my lips and placed it there glancing around. I slowly made my way to the knife stand and pulled out the largest and sharpest one. I placed the glass down looking around, to check if anybody is watching me.I pushed the knife into the long sleeve of my t-shirt. I took the glass and drank all of the water.I was just wasting my time. I opened the fridge and took out the box of strawberries and began eating it very slowly. Chewing it nicely, so it helps in digestion.I dropped the strawberry down when I heard the door open. According to the big bulky hunks, Eric was supposed to arrive soon, or at least that is what I made out from their I

Carla“No!” I cried as I looked at the beast in front of me. He truly was ruthless.“It wasn’t his mistake,” a lone tear made it out of my eye.“Don’t please,” I begged as I looked at the limp and almost lifeless body that was in front of him chained and bleeding profusely.“Urgh!” A loud grunt was heard at the back of his throat as another powerful punch landed right below his kidney. He instantly spits outblood. So much blood.Cuts and bruises ran all along his body. His head down. He didn’t even have the strength to look up!“Stop it, please. Stop this madness,” I cried and dropped to my knees. My hands werestill in the hold of his lapdogs. No matter how hard I tried to break free, there was no denying they were extremely strong. His loud wails were killing me. I couldn’t bear them anymore. He didn’t deserve this.

CarlaI walked closer and let the windows open. The cold breeze hit my body and I shivered visibly. I closed my eyes and let the cool breeze flutter my hair. A small smile spread across my face as I wrapped my arms around myself.I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around me and pull me back. His scent filled my nostrils and my senses perked up in alertness. My back pressed against his front. I could feel his taut abs brush against my back trough the thin fabric of my dress. He moved his face between my hair and inhaled my scent. Ever so slowly brushing his lips against my jaw in an almost kiss, he rested his chin on my shoulder.“What do you want?” My voice came out harsher than I intended it to.“You.” He husked and a shiver ran down my spine in dread.“Aeden... about that, um…” licked my lips and tilted my head to look at him. His gaze remained fixed outside as I began

  • Not Mine   Epilogue

Carla“So you don’t feel guilty?” The woman in front of me asked. Her hair was neatly tied up in a bun while she sat before me, with a small notebook and a pen in her hand.“Are you sure you are not saying this because you totally deny it?”I shook my head slightly and looked down at my lap.“You really don’t feel guilty about killing someone?” She asked me again and I forced my head up and looked into her eyes.“No.”After killing Cliff, I was little, well, too much in denial and Aeden forced me to take therapy with this lady before me. And also for my not so often nightmares, yet they still could shake me up and I couldn’t get anything done the next day. Honestly, I don’t like her. She is too much of a bitch for my liking. Since the time I have been attending the sessions, which were only two, she didn’t hesitate to show me her displeasure of me

I had never expected that she’d do something like this… it's just not her. Or maybe I just don’t know her so well. • Not Mine   Chapter 68

AedenSighing, I picked up my phone and my wallet before heading out the door. It was way past ten and it was highly uncommon for me to stay in my late mother’s office for so long.I didn’t usually visit this place because it ran smoothly unless someone decided to fuck it all up. An employee thought it was cool to randomly blurt out the ideas of the upcoming project to one of the rival company employees and I had to come down to fix his shit.I hadn’t estimated that it was going to be of so much trouble when I left home this morning but turns out, it was big. When it was past ten was beyond me.I wanted to go home and spend some time with Carla, but because of this one person, I had to be in and out of meeting all day long.I rushed out of the building to see my chauffeur by my car. He opens the door as I walked near it and he bowed down to show respect. I nodded, acknowledging his bow. It wasn’t long before

“We need to talk,” Carla burst her way into his study, without bothering about what he was doing. She stooped in her tracks, panting as she noticed two men who sat before him in their business suits, whose eyes were now focused on her. Her chest heaving as she clenched her fists by her sides and narrowed her eyes on Aeden, who was quite as startled as the men before him were.“Excuse me. Can we continue this sometime later?” He asked the two men, drawing their attention back to him from his wife.“Yes.”“Sure.”They replied simultaneously and walked out. Aeden pushed the chair back and stood up as the menexited and walked to the door and closed the door behind him.“What is it?” He asked softly as he made his way toward her and held her cheek from one side.“I-I can’t do this. No.” She

I didn’t want my child to have to grow when it can never be safe.I don’t think Aeden knows about this so it's better if he never finds out. It will be for the best. I don’t even know how he will react if he finds out. I just don’t want to hear the negative ones, if he didn’t like the idea of having children.Gulping, I place the pill at the seam of my lips. My heart was thudding rapidly against my chest. Closing my eyes I take a deep breath in.No. Don’t you will become a murderer! My consciousness mocked me and that itself was enough to push the chair back and spring up and throw the pill away.“Carla! “Why?”She fell backward, and let her eyes droop. Before she could land a harsh hit to the ground, strong arms wrapped around her waist and pulled her closer to a strong chest. She was hoisted up and carried out in bridal style. But as soon as the blood from her thigh dripped oh his arm he paused to look. When he noticed the dripping red liquid, anger burned through. With a low growl, he pressed her tightly and protectively against his body and marched out to his car, not caring about the way men moved in and out of the building. He carefully placed her on the passenger seat and moved to the other side. He noticed, Pearl, standing by the paramedics. She passed him a small smile and he returned it with a nod, pursing his lips.He sat in and stole one last glance at the woman resting on the passenger seat before driving off.The constant and loud tapping of foot was heard through the quiet hallway. “It wasn’t his mistake,” Carla breathed out.“Really?” Cliff scoffed.“Yes. Nobody has to pay for someone else’s deeds,” She said trying to inhale but the copper taste in her mouth and the pungent smell of blood didn’t allow her to.“You remember the time, you crashed into another car?” He quirked his brow up looking at her.“That was me. That was when it all began. That was my signal to being.”“It started with me finding my then long-lost and now dead brother, Steve. I didn’t have to do much. He was already a fool. A fool who was madly in love with you after one night. Wonder what magic you possess that, this idiot fell for you after one night in bed with you.”“I got what I needed from him. He told me all after I faked that I missed him all my life. I did miss my sibling, but not as much as I exaggerated. Then he told me everything I need

But when the constant sound of several notifications kept annoying her, she decide to put her phone on silent mode.As she took ahold of her phone, she noticed several messages from an unknown number. Unlocking the phone she read the messages, which were images, and a sudden dread kept in, looking at all the images that had been sent to her. They were several images of her. Taken the same way, in the starting she received a few stalking images of herself. Like the one in the hospital and Aeden’s penthouse. She had not given it much thought as she didn’t get any more pics after that and brushed it off thinking it was Aeden. Gulping, she swiped across her phone, looking at all the images of her.As she was scrolling through her the photos, her

Approximately one and a half months later.CarlaSinking down in my comfortable chair, I looked up from my laptop screen and focused my gaze outside the window admiring the beautiful view of the skyscrapers. But the moment was short-lived and I shrugged my shoulders and looked down on the keys of my computer.I was still mad at Aeden for abandoning me with some random strangers. I hadn’t heard or seen from either of the siblings or anyone them as a matter of fact since that day.Stupid stupid move!Who does that?He could have fucking spoken to me but he didn’t. I didn’t like it one bit. He didn’t even ask me if I wanted to go or stay. If he’d just asked me, I would have probably stayed back.I glanced at my wristwatch and packed up my stuff, shutting my computer off and putting it in my bag. I had resumed my work shortly after I found myself lying in the bed, alone and ab
