They Were So Unpredictable

Nora POV

I felt my body hitting the ground, much to my chagrin. It looked like I was going to always embarrass myself as a weak person.

But I was determined not to look pathetic in the presence of these people just like I was back at the Eagle Pack.

So, I did a body flip to stop myself from falling down but I wasn't quick enough. I felt my body falling still and I shut my eyes awaiting the pain.

Fortunately, the pain that I had expected wasn't forthcoming. I looked down to see Karen holding me tightly. He was the one that fell to the ground.

His big body shielded me from hitting the floor. The pain I felt earlier was from the injury on my palm when I tried to stop the impact of my fall.

“ Did she just fall because of the light from the orb?"

“ This is-outrageous"
