Carlos POV

As the wind blew tenaciously on my fur, I continued racing toward the direction of the border. I howled loudly as a strange feeling washed across my being. I could feel the happiness radiating all over me as the reality that my mate was alive slowly dawned on me.

" You had better disappear, Nora. I can't let you drag me down," I mumbled as I ran, getting closer to the border.

A few steps away from the spot I was supposed to meet the scouts, I changed back from my wolf. I was left in my panties as I raced there, only to stop in my track.

" Where is she?" I could feel my hair standing and my claws fighting to be let off. My eyes dimmed at the scene before me.

" Prince Carlos, we were about to explain that we have found her second shoe and clothes in the river leading to the White Kingdom…"

" Her shoes? You said you found Nora!" I growled, trying to control Kylie's anger. But I was relieved deep down.

" It-It was her shoe. I couldn't finish my statement -"

And that's it. I ha

It was the day to my coronation and we had to prepare for it. I stared at my outfit in the mirror, feeling hollow. Not just hollow but also a bit distracted by my thoughts. I still can't believe my mate was dead even after her disappearance for more than four days. I went to bed, feeling heavy and distracted only to be awoken by my father that same night. " An Alpha without a Luna is not respected. You need a mate, Carl. Have you found her yet?" He asked, his voice laced in hope."I found her but she wasn't what I wanted. The moon goddess cheated me and also punished me too," I wanted to say badly but I put on a fake smile as I stared at my father's hopeful face. Instead, I responded w

She was oozing beauty and strength. Not just that but she was looking all sexy and sensual. I knew her eyes never left me all through the ceremony but shouldn't she control her desire? Was she that cheap? The last thing I wanted was another woman messing up my evening. I was already battling to get Nora out of my mind but then getting a steaming night with her would be perfect. There was silence on her end and the next thing she did was let her gown fall off her body. It was more like a nightgown, I think. As much as I wanted her as my Luna, this wasn't what I expected from her. Where are the guards that were stationed on the

I was just curious how the Lycan party was and that was why I asked Harriet for help.As I walked toward the podium, I could feel several eyes on me. Envious eyes, hateful eyes and several scheming eyes too. Apart from my parents and a few elders, it looked like I was practically a threat to them. There was one pair of eyes that seem to scorch through me. It wasn't my brother but the man that looked so much like my father.Uncle Damon. That was the name he was called. His gaze lingered on my every step and I felt it as I took a brief stare

Nora POVI felt my body hitting the ground, much to my chagrin. It looked like I was going to always embarrass myself as a weak person. But I was determined not to look pathetic in the presence of these people just like I was back at the Eagle Pack. So, I did a body flip to stop myself from falling down but I wasn't quick enough. I felt my body falling still and I shut my eyes awaiting the pain.Fortunately, the pain that I had expected wasn't forthcoming. I looked down to see Karen holding me tightly. He was the one that fell to the ground. His big body shielded me from hitting the floor. The pain I felt earlier was from the injury on my palm when I tried to stop the impact of my fall. “ Did she just fall because of the light from the orb?"“ This is-outrageous" I got up quickly, listening to their murmurs. I bit down on my lips to stop the tears from flowing and with a strained smile, I lowered myself to help Karen up. Strangely, the voices in my head had stopped. I was so embarr

I asked, trying to defend his attacks after another.Fortunately for me, my brother Justin, had taught me how to defend myself. I was about to dodge a punch sideways but my eyes caught his abrupt stop to the brawl and I almost fell to the ground. His hands grabbed mine, drawing close to himself. Still feeling groggy from the sleep, I muttered incoherently to her." Training starts at seven, it's just three in the morning!" "Ugh? It's- it's past eight in the morning, your highness," Harriet responded, her voice giving me a headache. "Harriet, training starts by seven…what the hell!" My brain did a marathon race as I regained myself. I looked terrified at the ray of light seeping into the room. "Oh shit! Why the hell did I sleep again! Now I am so damn late!" It was obvious they saw how I embarrassed myself just now. “ Is she supposed to be my sister?” George asked, scowling. His disdain toward me was as glaring as the morning sun. I wonder how I had offended him. "How can a Lycan be so weak? I am sure she is truly an imposter!" My stepmom stated, throwing me a condescending gaze. I was stuck on what to say. I couldn't defend myself because it was truly shameful that I couldn't even hold myself against a mere growl. I stole a glance at Karen who still had a grim expression on his face. He must be feeling ashamed of being a teacher to a weakling. “ It's a pity the queen placed her hope on you," my stepmom calmly threw her words at me. I felt myself burning with anger yet I held myself back. My mind drifted to my discussion with the queen last night. It was as if she knew what I was likely to face today. “ You want to start training tomor

A thick, black fur glistening in the light, perfectly groomed and sleek. His piercing yellow eyes seemed to burn with an inner fire, radiating confidence and authority. Pulling myself up, I tried to square off with him only for me to fall face first to the floor and the next thing that happened was a loud laughter that rang all over the hallway. “I knew you were up to no good so I decided to lurk around.” Smacking his lips with a shrug, he added, “Too bad you are yet to understand that I’m always one step ahead of you each time.” He hissed. “Why are you doing this? I had to end everything as soon as possible so I wouldn't have anything to be bothered with again.
