Nora's POV

Carlos can be stubborn when he wants to but his current exhibition is driving me crazy. A sane person wouldn't act the way he does.

Even after telling him what awaited him, he was still dogmatic about it, increasing my frustration. Still trying to figure out a new line to say to him, I remembered the messages I passed to Uncle Damon earlier, that was about the Lycan rogues.

All my hopes were that Carlos was going to be frightened with what I say to him but to my dismay, he wasn't moved a bit.

“Rogues will always remain rogues. It's not as if this is the first time I'm being attacked by rogues and this is definitely not going to be the last.” He huffed.

Grabbing my aching head, I let out a low wince and at once, he rushed to my side only for Karen to sideline him.

“You should stay away from her. You keep making her go crazy each time she has a conversation with you.” Karen said, steering me away from him.

Nora's POV“ Vina, you need to stop accusing Uncle Damon without evidence. Although he might be envious of not being the King, I believe he wouldn't hurt his own family,” I interjected as soon as the maid finished her words." Fine!” Vina reluctantly said, rolling her eyes. I stifled laughter before making my way back to the palace. The reception in the throne room was not pleasant. Mother's presence did nothing but to further complicate the issue at hand. I was at loss on what to say or do. It looked like these people had already come up with the solution. Unsure of what to say, I stood in the middle of the throne room, my hands folded in front of me as I began to dart my eyes around. “We heard the rumors… we want to believe it is untrue.” Father broke the silence, causing me to swallow the lump that had risen in my throat. Nodding my head vigorously, I tried to speak but words refused to form as I was overwhelmed. Who could be bored dh“Aren't you going to say something? The sit

Nora's POVThese days I have been stressing too much as nothing seems to be going well for me. The news continued to spread like a wildfire without control and it wouldn't be long before I would be summoned to face the elders again.Lying on my bed with my gaze fixed on the ceiling, I bit my bottom lips in a bid to stifle the scream that was about to erupt through them.“When are all these going to end?” I muttered, shutting my eyes tightly.Grasping the sheets, I continued digging my teeth into my lips until I drew out blood. Now sitting on the edge of my bed, I buried my head in my palm only to start tugging my hair as anger mixed with frustration racked through me. “Nora! Are you okay?” George's voice rang in my head, causing me to snap my head up and at once I locked eyes with him. With his hands folded in front of him, he began to walk cautiously towards me. “I can only imagine what is going on in your head right now.” Holding my shoulder, he said, “Are you alright?” “Not a

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    Secret Meeting

Uncle Damon’s POV Finally, the long awaited war was here. This was the time I was waiting for to unleash my plans and this time around I'm going to succeed with this. Having succeeded in pairing Karen with Nora, I have no doubts that my plan was going to click and it was going to follow that sequence until I ascended the throne. Pacing about my living room, I had my hands strapped across my chest as a smile played on my lips. “Your hardwork and resilience is gradually paying off.” Elder Richard said, eliciting a nod from me. With my gaze now fixated on him, I slowly lowered myself on the couch, leaning towards him with a smirk dancing on my lips. “Thanks to you, things are falling into place. I never expected Elder Tyler to show his support.” I laughed, clicking my tongue. “You can say that again. I was genuinely surprised when he attacked Nora. I had no idea that he would do something of that sort.” He chuckled. After a few minutes of silence, he clasped his hands and with h

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    Who Is The Traitor?

Carlos' POVThis was a dream come through and I doubt if I was going to forget this in a hurry. Each time I think of it, I can't help but thank the moon goddess for making me cross paths with Damon. Now, it wasn't as if I wasn't going to find my way out of the pack even if it was going to take a lot of time and maybe I might not succeed. Smirking, I crossed my hands on my chest, staring into space with a look of satisfaction on my face. Justin was yet to join us from Lycan Kingdom even after three weeks of our successful escape. I sighed at the rate my plans were moving swiftly. I was grateful Justin had a change of heart and decided to help me out.Nora on the other hand kept to her promise of going to war with me. It was a tacit agreement she had with me and I knew better than anyone how ruthless she can be when crossed.Nevertheless, I had no regrets as I knew what was at stake before going up against her. I wasn't bothered by the war which was coming up in three days, rather, I

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    She wasn't Affected

Elder Damon's POVThings kept moving on in the direction I wanted and I couldn't help but to thank my stars. Everything I had in mind to do was already planned out carefully and I doubt if there was going to be any flaw in my plans. My tools for destruction and launching of my plans were active not to talk of my spies who were loyal and were ready to do whatever I asked of them. After the secret meeting with Carlos, I returned home only to meet with one of my spies lurking around. “How long have you been waiting?” I asked, announcing my presence and at once he turned around and then did a curt bow. “I’m supposed to wait on you.” He replied as a bright smile spread across my lips. This was loyalty at the peak and I was already itching to get on the throne so the whole pack will bow to me and do my biddings.“We should talk inside.” I said, leading the way.A few minutes into our conversation, he le

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    He Betrayed Me

Nora's POVIf only I knew that the noise from last night was when the palace was being infiltrated, I would have reacted immediately even though I was a bit weak.“Dammit!” I dug my teeth into my lips as I clenched my fists by my side. At the moment, I was in the throne room with the elders who were lamenting about the situation at hand. My parents were taken from the palace, leaving behind only a handful of us and a few maids and guards who were useless; thanks to the substance consumed the previous night. “This is an abomination. Whoever must have done this must be an insider enemy.” Elder Tyler yelled, pulling himself to his feet. With his finger pointed at the throne, he went further to say, “The throne had been defiled.” Taking a deep breath, I said, “You have to calm down as everything is under control.” Before he could part his lips and start rambling, I quickly added, “I sent tropes out to find my parents and the rest of the captives. They should join us soon.”My words w

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    His Words Were Foreign

Nora's POV It must have been over half an hour that we remained in the same position. While I bemoaned about my fate, Karen listened to me and he never ceased to comfort me but I couldn't be comforted. Justin had clearly stated in his letter that I was nothing but a weakling and I was the cause of the infiltration. His raw words were foreign to me as he had never said that to me before, but why now? This question kept ringing in my head but I had no answer to it. Then, there was Carlos, as sly as a fox. “If only I knew this was his plan all the while, I would have allowed him to leave the pack immediately he was hale and hearty.” I muttered, snapping my eyes shut. “Don't blame yourself, you did well. He is the one to be condemned as he took your kindness for granted making you look like a fool.” Karen said with a mild tone. “I'm not going to trust anyone, ever again. This is a lesson I learnt th

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    The End Result

Elder Damon's POVEven though the motive of the war was met, I was not satisfied with the outcome as I felt it didn't go as planned. Nora was supposed to be killed at the Kingdom and not allowed to cross the borders but somehow, she and the army were able to defeat my army. “But the end result is still the same.” I smacked my lips, rubbing my palms in glee. With my hands folded behind me, I made my way out of my home and then began to head towards the palace, a bright smile on my face. The throne which I was always longing for was finally going to mine in a matter of hours. All I needed to do was to make sure the elders buy my ideas, in that way, they will have no choice but to listen to whatever I say and act accordingly. On arrival at the palace, I made my way to the throne room only to meet the elders seated with a mournful look on their faces. “Traitor.” Elder Tyler yelled, wielding his fingers at me.

Living with her foster parents who she still believed were her biological parents, she found her footing once more as she began to bond with them and those that were around her as she lived her normal life. “Nora!” Her mother has called. “I'm coming, please hold on.” She yelled back at her and when she finished the task she was working on, she rushed to join her. “I'm sorry, I had to tidy up.” She said, rubbing her hand on her forehead.Smiling lovingly at her, her mother held her cheek with a hand while using the other to trace the outline of her jaw. “I wish you we

For a moment, the world seemed to have gone still as I stared at the people in front of me. Back at the forest, Karen had died in my hands and then Carlos' whimper made me run to his side only for him to breathe his last almost immediately. Taking in a deep breath, I pushed my hand into my hair, trying to speak but I couldn't find my voice. “What is going on here?” I asked, alternating my gaze from Elder Silvarum to Carlos with a relieved look on my face but at the same time I was curious and shocked. Not saying a word to me, Elder Silvarum tightened his grip on Carlos who was standing next to him. Ignoring my curious mind, I ran to meet with Carlos with a bright smile on my fac

But as he turned a corner, he suddenly found himself face to face with a shocking surprise. He halted abruptly, trying to understand what was playing out in front of him. Reader's POVJust before Karen could hit her with the deadly blow, Queen Dione leapt into the air, pushing him off Nora, hence shielding her from the impact. After this, Queen Dione fell to the ground with a thud as she let out a low wince while Karen stood aside baring his canines. The force which Karen had released, an ordinary lycan even if it was poisonous doesn't possess such power. Shaking the thought off her head, Nora fell next to her mother, as she tried to make her sit up but her mother was weak, thanks to the encounter she had with Karen a while ago. From the look of things, Nora was quick to realize that Karen was not the same one she knew before. NORA POV My head was almost bursting with different questions and emotions at the same time as I wondered what he had thought of my request. Snapping my eyes shut, I parted my lips, “Carlos please, we have to do this.” I said with a tone of urgency. “If you delay, it's going to be disastrous.” I said in a bid to convince him. “I'm not rejecting you Nora!” He said with a chuckle that made me at ease. “I was taken aback with the sudden request, that's all.” He shrugged and once again, I let out the breath I had been holding back as I anticipated what he was going to say to me. “ Another thing, we need to seal the bond at the cave of the goddess." "Here, at the goddess cave?" Carlos asked, his eyes widening in surprise."Yes, it's the only place we can be sure our bond will be recognized by the gods and there is another meaning to it too," I explained.Rubbing my forehead, I wanted to explain the reason why I brought up the suggestion but he just smiled in understanding. • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    Let's Mate, Carlos

Nora's POVIt was now two weeks since the death of my father and all I can say was, the days were getting longer and longer. Mother had regained consciousness and I was happy about it but still I was aggravated as I kept blaming myself for the death of my father. "Mother, I'm so glad you're awake," I said, tears of joy streaming down my face as I hugged her tightly."Nora, my child," she whispered, her voice weak but full of love. "I'm so proud of you. You're strong, just like your father."I nodded, my resolve hardening. "I will make sure those responsible for his death pay, Mother. I vow to wipe out every last one of the Ancient clan."My heart was heavy with grief but my spirit burning with determination. I would see this through, no matter what it took. The Ancient clan would pay for what they had done.During these two weeks it had been Carlos who had been by my side, otherwise, I would have lost my sanity long ago. I couldn't think straight anymore but he was there to help and

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    Death...

Nora's POVNodding slowly, Elder Callum said, “Karen is Alpha Jasper's son.” “Then he must be a one of the poisonous rogues. How come we didn't find out about it much early.” I ratted out as my heart beat increased. Terrified, I began to clench and unclench my fists as I thought of what Karen must have done, knowing that he was a poisonous Lycan. Just when I was about to start running my mouth, Elder Callum stepped up, “You don't have to worry about it too much. There is no way Karen would turn into a poisonous Lycan.” He said in a carefree manner that made me raise my brow at him. He said it himself that Karen was the grandson of Alpha Draco then he must definitely be a poisonous Lycan, what was he insinuating. “Karen was raised here and not in the Ancient Clan so he is not poisoned.” He took a pause before he continued. “The only way he can get poisoned is if he gets hold of that pendant…” I listened intently as Elder Callum revealed the shocking truth about Kaden. "So, he's

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    The Urge To Kill Her

Karen's POVSeeing the members of the Blue Lycan Kingdom guarding Carlos' pack was a surprise to me. With Carlos now rendered invalid, I thought I would be able to raze down his pack to the ground only to be faced with a dangerous twist. As if that was not enough, Carlos was wheeled forward and immediately I let out a loud laughter filled with anger and regret. “I should have killed you when I had the chance.” I yelled, baring my canines at him. With my hand stuck in my hair, I sent my teeth into my lips, biting it with no mercy as anger ran through my veins. If only I had remembered that Carlos had an alliance with the members of the Blue Lycan Kingdom, I wouldn't have left a breath in him. Now, there was no use crying over spilled milk. It's time to restrategize and come up with the perfect solution. With this in mind, I stepped forward and with an intimidating look and gaze, I yelled, “You are Lycans, why are you allowing a mere werewolf to be in charge of you?” I yelled, gl
