Northstar and Alan along with another one of their colleagues had left on a mission, assigning most of the tasks to Elizabeth and Elizabeth. Elizabeth was a newbie who knew far lesser than Elizabeth. This meant that Elizabeth had to take care of a lot more stuff than she could handle, and she was overwhelmed.

“Elizabeth!” Elizabeth called out from across the hall.

“Yes?” Elizabeth sighed.

“Detective Morris is waiting for you in his office,” Elizabeth informed.

“Who?... Northstar?” Elizabeth asked with surprise.

“Yes, he’s here to see you,” Elizabeth confirmed.

Elizabeth looked at the open door on her left and walked in.

Once inside the hotel, Northstar and Elizabeth waited in the lobby while Agatha checked them in and got the keys to their rooms.“Looks like there is a lot of drama surrounding the whole thing and the press is making a big deal out of it,” Northstar said pointing at a TV screen in the lobby that showed an anchor-person speaking to a police officer in a foreign language. “Anyway, the course of action should be to visit the places like tourists and look for leads. It is really going to be no more than hit and trial.”“I can book us on the tour guide bus,” Agatha offered cheerfully.Elizabeth stared at him sharply.“Or maybe not,” he shrugged, quickly altering his statement.“Well, it’s already late. For today, let us hang around in the vicinity of the hotel to see if we could find a lead,” Northstar suggested getting up to leave the hotel.Once outside, the three of them walked

The figure near the door quickly turned away and walked out of the door. Elizabeth caught a glimpse of the shadowy figure and she wondered if they were being followed but when they stepped outside, everything seemed normal to her. They walked a few blocks and then took a left, heading towards the old bridge and the creek. The road to the creek was incredibly quiet. It was past 5 o’ clock and there was no activity around the post office building and the community school at this time of the day.Suddenly Elizabeth saw a strange figure emerge and disappear quickly in distance.“That’s it,” she shouted.“Finally,” Agatha said with excitement. He too had spotted something vague, more like a shadow. The three of them set out to follow it. Elizabeth fervently tried to cast a tracing spell while running. She shot in the direction of an old building, made up of grey stone. Northstar and Agatha followed her. She stopped in

Agatha detached himself from a group of locals he had started a conversation with and walked towards Elizabeth holding a poster.“Here, look at the sketch made by the human police. It quite matches him,” he remarked jokingly pointing at the priest who was standing in the middle of a group of people, his back towards Elizabeth.Elizabeth eyed Agatha angrily.“Professor Edward, I am so sorry about Ethan,” a middle-aged woman said to a man standing close by.Elizabeth shoved the poster written in foreign language in Agatha’ hand, quickly walking over to the professor, introducing herself as a tourist. After the crack of the dawn, Northstar, Elizabeth and Agatha made their way back to the hotel, now sure that the creature was dead. Mallory had already departed feeling depressed as she could not find any links to her son. Now she stood in the corner of an isolated building, not extremely far from the creek. Suddenly, a woman wearing a white trench coat with red flames on the bottom materialized in front of her.“Good day Mallory,” Maria said.Mallory acknowledged the greeting with a nod.“Hmmm, Northstar Morris!” Maria said. “Guess he would be really impressed to see me again after a long time. He gave me a few chases, without being successful, of course.
