Chapter 19

Damon was already gone.

Based on how arrogant Madison looked, Damon must have allowed it. Otherwise, how would she move in so brazenly? However, this was still her and Damon’s home.

When Jeanette was still in a daze, Madison pushed her away and walked straight into her bedroom. "Madison, what are you doing?"

"This bedroom will be mine from today onwards," she replied.

When Jeanette heard Madison's provocative tone, she took a deep breath and said, "Get out of here."

"My dear sister, instead of kicking me out of this room, you should worry about yourself. Damon might kick you out of the house anytime." Madison was insolent and walked to the side of the bed, stepping over Jeanette’s clothes that were scattered all over the floor before sitting down.

She touched the bed sheet and told the housekeeper, "I don't like the color of this bedsheet, change it."

The housekeeper glanced at Jeanette, troubled. Although Jeanette was the nominal owner of the house, Madison was sent here under the order of Damon’s mother, Sylvia Selman. Given the current situation, no one dared to go against her.

"Housekeeper, please pack all of my belongings into the guest room.”

...

When Damon returned home that night, he saw Madison sitting naturally in the dining room while enjoying dinner. His expression froze for a moment.

"Damon, you’re back!" Madison put down her bowl and spoon before running toward him happily. "The housekeeper said that you don’t usually come home before this. I thought you wouldn't be back today either. Is it because you heard about Sylvia asking me to move in, so you came back to see me?"

Madison's tone sounded sweet, but she carefully watched his expression after saying that, fearing that he would not welcome her moving in.

However, Damon only took a deep look at Jeanette, who was sitting next to him, and said nothing.

Jeanette did not touch any of the food in front of her. She stood up and said, "I'm done eating." She then left the dining room without looking at Damon and Madison.

Back then, he would rarely come back to their house, sometimes even up to a month. However, he had come back so many times this week.

Jeanette knew in her heart that he had probably come back home because Madison moved in. She had actually become a guest of the house.

"Damon, you haven’t had dinner, have you? I'll eat with you." Madison held his arm as she said in an intimate and sweet tone as if she was deliberately speaking louder. She was obviously provoking and showing off.

Damon glanced at her coldly, and his tone was icy, "Let go of my hand."

He then turned around and went straight to the study.

...

Damon received a picture on his cell phone from an anonymous source that evening. Elias was carrying a woman in the picture. Her cheeks were flushed, and they seemed to be intimate. The background of the picture showed they were actually in the elevator of a hotel.

How dare that woman go get a hotel with another man in broad daylight!?

Damon was furious and kicked the bedroom door open. However, he was taken aback when he saw that the woman lying on the bed in the bedroom was actually Madison.

"Damon!" Madison hurriedly ran in front of him. She had just been thinking about how to persuade Damon to sleep in her room, but surprisingly, he had come in on his own. Thus, Madison was delighted.

"Why is it you?" Damon's tone was still cold. He calmly turned off his phone screen with the intimate picture of Jeanette and Elias.

"My sister said that since I’m pregnant, the lighting and ventilation in the guest room aren’t that great for me, so she took the initiative to let me stay in the master bedroom instead. It’s better for the baby’s health."

"She took the initiative?" asked Damon.

"Yes, we’re sisters, after all. She can’t get pregnant, and the baby in my womb is her nephew. Naturally, she’s as happy as we are deep down.” She gently stroked her flat belly, and the corners of her eyes were full of smugness.
